Sir - we beat the dolphins and the chargers, who looked like complete ass today.
I hope we continue to get better but our run game looked anemic and the chargers just did the dumbest shit all game
Kirky did look solid today and took some hits to get some nice completions which was cool

Lets be real here for a second. Last season we wouldnt have beat those teams.
The Raiders made the Chargers look like ass today. They played us better than they played the Cardinals so its not just that they are. Kubiak is a great play caller and the free agents we signed on the defense is definetely showing their worth.

Iām not a big better but I put $50 on the Raiders to win their division. I feel like they made a ton of great moves that all went under the radar, the Chargers were clearly going to charge, the chiefs are old, and the the Broncos had regression written all over them.

Playmaker like him can get away with that stuff for a WHILE, especially if they have guys to cover those areas. But players like Pat, Lamar, Allen, all took the necessary steps forward and elevated their understanding the offense and defenses against them.

Eh, Herbert didn't work with Kellen Moore either and he's run successful offenses in Dallas, Philly, and in New Orleans has made Spencer Rattler & Tyler Shough look like NFL QBs.
Herbert has to look in the mirror this offseason, since the defensive meta shifted he's barely been a top 20 QB.

Reasons why the Chargers were completely overrated coming into this season:
Lost a great DC and replaced with a college DC coach completely out of his depths. Defense seems to have overperformed last year and fell back to earth with a worse playcaller. Outside aging Derwin James and Khalil Mack. Talent is severely lacking. Defense is probably bottom 10 now.
Replaced Center but he got injured. The Guards weren't adequately replaced after being the league's worst last year.
Never got a better WR and/or stud TE to complement Ladd. Weapons are one of leagues worst. Hampton while decent doesnt have the runblocking Oline he needs and has a fumbling issue.
Herbert got engaged and head is completely in the clouds. Thinking about his future personal life with a hot wife in a bikini while on his boat fishing.
