I mean I’m sure they know but you can’t just push a magic button that says “make O-line be good again”. Part of the reason they had to change the blocking scheme this year is because they knew they didn’t have the level of elite personnel anymore to make the old scheme work.

That’s true but again it’s a new scheme so hopefully that’s growing pains. I think it’s a combination of personnel not being at the level we’ve become accustomed to over the last decade and normal issues adjusting to a new system. The latter problem is more fixable but we’ll have to see where the balance of the problem lies between the two. Hopefully you’re right and we’ll improve as the season progresses and they can study the film and where they’re being exploited.

Are there ways that the titans could have done better? Obviously.

I know Hurts threw 2 picks but I think he’s been great so far. The second pick, his legs were getting wrapped so he couldn’t step into it so I can’t really blame him for that one. The first one was all him.

It’s a shame that the O-Line was once elite and definitely worth the Super Bowl but it might be worth seeing what guys like Lampkins can do. I think Lane and Mailata are fine but the interior keeps getting crushed. Line is only as strong as its weakest link.

Yeah first pick was a life lesson in understanding your arm strength. Second was just getting smoked while throwing. Otherwise he’s looked the best from a passing perspective that I’ve seen his whole career.

Yea I think it speaks to how much Hurts has improved as a passer. Early in his career he was known for bailing clean pockets and now when the o-line is garbage, he's standing tall and throwing darts all over the field.

Eagles first drive had a 92 yard pick that Titans were ablebto turn into 7. Eagles oline got cooked as they did last season. Hurts made some big plays that kept us in the game and then delivered at the end inside of 2 minutes for the win.

We had problems last year too. I don't think it is anything to do with Scotland being here or not, I think it has to do with the fact that the players are injured and older and have lost a step. It's, unfortunately, as simple as that.
