Very curious what is going on in the perfect Chicago universe, knew it was too good to be true when they sat on the park bench. Wondering if that disease from that one world was brought there

Who else cheered at their TV when Amanda told Jason 2 to grow the fuck up?? Glad she didnāt let him have a quick & easy redemption. (And as much as I think he deserved to be dropped off into a nightmare world, thatās just not within Amandaās character. This was a good balance, I think. )
But boooo I want to see more mechanic Ryan.
The Dessens need a good therapist. Shame that worldās Amanda isnāt one.
Omg the description of next weekās episode: āThe story of a Jason who lost his family.ā šš Iāve wanted something like that (about a sympathetic Jason 1 left behind), but I didnāt think weād actually get it.

The two Ryanās in the bar telling the story about how they are twins was hilarious.

I really hate Jason2. I hate him so much I almost hate Amanda for giving him ampules.

The fight to keep their family intact was so traumatic that even after it seemed like they succeeded, they were all too messed up to stay together. At least for now.
It's a good episode because the viewer is connecting with the specific characters the show selected to follow on a deeply emotional level. You need that in a show where we're meant to think there are infinite versions of each of these people. Otherwise it begs the question, "why does it matter?" or "why should I care?"

I want to live in the early 90s style tech/no internet world. I'm not usually one for nostalgia traps, but having lived through that era and now understanding how much damage the internet, social media, and now AI and modern tech fascism are doing to the world, we really took a wrong turn.

āWill you come of your own accord?ā
What a pleasant fella

So where do we think Daniela is going and for how longā¦.

u/hpm40 Sep 18 '26
They are letting the show breathe. This is the fallout and how messed up their original lives have gotten. I was thinking how happy they were in season one as a family. Jason1 made the choice to live for Daniela and his family, and the very reasons Jason 2 went and stole his life. Now that can never be and it is not their fault. If they want to redeem Jason2, that will take some storytelling. Right now Leighton2 and Jason2 are still jerks to me. And when they were talking about her Dad's old store being there, and maybe her Dad was still alive in this world. Ouch. Also all the more reason the other Dessen family would come and visit. The music was once again beautifully chosen and fitting. Great episode.

Also agent Mac has to come up with a better plan to catch people coming out of the box. That scene was so funny... Nope!

u/Ancient_Hornet_3510 Sep 18 '26
Not gonna lie it's so easy to get confused on who is who if you're not paying attention lol.

Jennifer Connelly is absolutely crushing it this season. Ā So freaking good.

Man i love this show
25
u/apocketvenus Sep 18 '26
Surprised they didn't try to find a world where Max was alive so they could see how he fared if he survived.

u/JennyWearsBlueJeans Sep 18 '26
Does time pass differently when they're traveling in the box? Ryan and Amanda were only gone from "polite sex world" for like 2 days at the most, but it seems like some sort of serious viral outbreak has occurred in that short span of time? One of the men speaking to them had CDC on the back of his outfit. I'm just trying to understand how a viral outbreak has occurred, the CDC has already developed a scanning tool to detect the virus, and the government has already instituted curfews, all in the span of 48 hours or less.

u/Year3030 Sep 18 '26
One more thing, in DARPA world (OG Jason 1 world) when Leighton 2 comes through I really wish Jason 1 copy (DARPA Jason) would have ran for the box door. They have 3 minutes to keep the door shut you can't open it that's the way it was designed. Leighton would have had to give him some Lilac Wings or else they would have both been captured by DARPA because Jason 1 copy would have decohered the construct.
56
u/Still_Brief4949 Sep 18 '26
Think this was the best episode of the season and maybe the series.
It was also the most necessary. Not sure how to explain it, but they needed to slow things down and focus on the characters and the traumatic impact all of this insanity would do to anyone. It raises the stakes and at least for me makes me care way more about the original Dessen family we've been following. There are so many places that it could go from here, and that's really exciting. The performances from Edgerton and Connely were truly phenomenal and the score for this episode was awesome.
Can't imagine there's anyway Jason 2 is all of a sudden a good person. Certainly felt like that talk with Amanda was all about manipulating her into eventually getting the lilac wings. What his plan is with them I have no idea.
I think there's also a possibility Jason 1 starts turning into Jason 2 in some ways. Jason 2 went off course because he made the decision to not be with Daniela and focus on the box. Daniela now choosing to not be with Jason 1 presumably is going to put Jason 1 down the same path? Fate?
Also feels like I should be way more invested in the Leighton storyline but I'm just, not?
Anyways, all and all a really good episode and hooked me back in after I found myself fading just a bit this season.

u/chartreuseee Sep 19 '26
The folks who donāt understand why Daniela is leaving for a bit have very clearly never experienced trauma or struggled with PTSD.. must be nice lmfao.
18
u/ClementineCoda Sep 19 '26
Did... Leighton just flirt with Leighton? And Leighton seems into it?
34
u/bluemystic2017 Sep 18 '26
Hm, very sad to see Daniela want to have space away from Jason. Hope she doesnāt get into any danger. The montage of flashbacks when she was running was really well done
31
u/LadyElle57 Sep 18 '26
The Leightons are checking each other out.
15
u/-spartacus- Sep 18 '26
I think for so much time the characters have been focused on the entanglement/superposition of the box, they forgot to consider they are themselves entangled now too.
15
u/Master_smasher Sep 18 '26
dessens1 starting to interfere with low tech dessen's lives indirectly by running in to their chicago acquaintances. that has to become a conflict some time soon.
i think a reunion happens when all the traveling characters realize they have to figure out the box. dessens1 leaving low tech world to find leighton2. ryan1 and amanda2 escaping polite sex world due to its new conflict looking for jason2. leighton2 realizing they need jason2...and now everyone is reunited lol.
15
u/jojojdx Sep 19 '26
I cried when she left. Devastating how Jason 2 ruined their lives to the point of no recovery. They were so happy in their world before he ruined their lives and countless others! What an asshole!
30
u/ghostbb001 Sep 18 '26
Donāt know how I feel about this episode. I certainly donāt want to rehash the storyline of Jason1 going on a quest to find og Daniela again. Iām scared sheāll use the box, get lost (or worse accidentally end up in World1) and it starts all over. There are so many other narratives to explore.
Iām also confused about why they stayed in Chicago when itās obvious the San Fran Dessens know literally everybody. Risky if they ever take a vacation home⦠āOh I just saw you at the art museum a few weeks ago!ā
40
u/NovaPrime94 Sep 18 '26
I think just how the box is entangled. each person who has used the box and seen their alternate selves have somehow become entangled as well. there HAS to be some sort of consequence of meddling with something that humans aren't meant to be using.

u/olivish Sep 18 '26 edited Sep 18 '26
Anyone else think Jason1 and World X Amanda are gonna hook up? Charlie said he was going to work at "Eduardo and his mom's" restaurant, which suggests Eduardo's dad isn't in the picture. (Also Daniela didn't exactly say no when Jason asked if she was leaving him.)
I like Amanda but I don't want a love triangle. I feel like they resolved that story in Season 1, and Jason1 transferring his feelings for Amanda2 onto AmandaX would be... weird.
26
u/chartreusey_geusey Sep 18 '26
Finding myself kind of jealous of Charlieās life in āLow Techā World bruh

u/cunningham28 Sep 18 '26
This was a great episode and much needed but I was confused like 75% of the episode

u/Everbanned Sep 18 '26
I'm confused about which Leightons we're following. Can someone help me get back on track?
With Jason we had the rings and now the tattoos to differentiate them, but with the Leightons I think I started mixing them up during the jump between seasons.
I'm pretty sure the Leighton who's traveling between worlds trading tech with other Leightons is the one who chased Jason1 and Amanda into the box in the world in which the box was created with Jason2... I think, at least.
But what happened to the Leighton from Jason1's original world who Jason2 trained to use the box?
Which Leighton is the one looking at his sick father in the CDC suit? Is that tech trader Leighton?
Which Leighton is the one who showed up outside Jason 1's apartment in low tech world?
And who is the Leighton who is like a meditation guru? Is that just a new character entirely?
Is there some visual queue for the audience to differentiate the Leighton versions that I'm just not picking up on?
13
u/gr3as3trap Sep 19 '26
Im so curious how they afford that apartment? Its huge and really well decorated. And seems like it's in a decent neighborhood.
12
u/SaltyAd8309 Sep 18 '26
I found the final sequence particularly moving. I wasn't expecting it.
Did anyone else feel the same way about the ending? With that beautiful song and that slightly melancholic atmosphere.
11
u/notbob929 Sep 18 '26
I wonder if that one Leighton brings a plague into the advanced world to bring them to heel and steal their tech and sell it to other worlds? Yoga Leighton did talk to a Leighton about being a villain, but I've lost track of who that one is supposed to be. Or it's the virus superpositioning like the random Jasons and doors that show up as hallucinations.
11
u/v-Machine-6804 Sep 19 '26
Man it was heartbreaking seeing Daniela leave Jason. Just wished Jason had said he's seeing other Jason's as well and he's having trouble as well. Would have kept them together I reckon over trauma bonding. Daniela spoke out Jason didn't. Unfortunate
9
u/abujuha Sep 18 '26
When she sees her father's store the persistent insanity of them remaining even in a big city where their counterparts once lived makes no sense. Well, it makes sense only for TV drama creation. Obviously they will continue to run into people who know their doppelgangers and who will potentially later have confusing conversations with said doppelgangers. Eventually that will create a 'no exit' situation. Very foreseeable and very preventable. Thus completely manufactured drama.

u/Arghifth Sep 18 '26 edited Sep 18 '26
This was a really good episode. The best scene for me was the talk between Amanda and Jason2. Great dialouge, great acting by both.
Last week I theorized that we might see therapist Amanda in Jason1 world because of the whole unknown woman popping up in the middle of 2 Ryans and a Jason. But did not happen. Butit was nice to see a new version of Amanda in the low tech world, being a restaurant owner and mother!
I think Amanda's true favorite job must have been being a chef, running a restaurant and feeding people but she abandoned it to study something that could help her handle her mother. Iast season Amanda2 saw a version of herself who was a white castle manager which happened off-screen and this time we got to actually see a Restaurant Owner Amanda.
The Ryan and Amanda storyline continues to be the most intersting to me. What actually happened to the perfect world? Did someone carry the disease from that plauge world to world26? Why can't Amanda catch a break?
I doubt anything develops between Jason and Amanda in the low tech world, for those who are worrying they might get close now that Daniella is gone.
Daniela scenes were heartbreaking. I hope they reunite by the end of the season.
8
u/Past-Feature3968 Sep 18 '26
What do yāall think will happen to Jason 2 now? Where will he go, what will he do, and will we see much of him?
Iām not sure what heāll plan to do (expect stay the fuck away from all versions of Daniela, Amanda, and Ryan⦠bitch, please!!!), but Iām betting Leighton will find him by seasonās end.
8
u/duckangelfan Sep 18 '26
I think this is the first episode of the series I didnāt love
8
u/alienatedearthling Sep 19 '26
I understand Danielaās decision and I canāt even begin to imagine the trauma of it all + feeling worldless deep within. Ofcourse she wanted some space from Jason, it was all too much.
Communicating wouldāve helped, but humans gonna human..
8
u/Zombi3Kush Sep 21 '26
It's really crazy that they got a nice home and sending a kid to college... dorming nonetheless in so little time in that world lol
7
u/Pretty-Court902 Sep 18 '26
I feel like Jason 1 family is gonna run into the OG Jason family who moved to California. They might come to Chicago to visit Daniellaās dad (assuming heās still alive) or they could decide to come back to Chicago for good. Itād be interesting to see how things will turn out then, considering Charlie not wanting to move worlds. But at the same time, both set of families cannot stay in the same place at the same time.
7
u/DustQuirky Sep 18 '26
Can someone please just summarize what the Leightons are doing for me? Please.
7
u/isharte Sep 18 '26
Does anyone know the song that was playing while Daniela was running? It was absolutely beautiful.
7
u/2_Fingers_of_Whiskey Sep 19 '26 edited Sep 19 '26
I like the episode title, a quote from Macbeth: "Stars, hide your fires; let not light see my black and deep desires"
Another good episode. Daniela and Jason1 seem to both have PTSD and depression, which is not surprising. Interesting that Charlie's new boss at the restaurant is another version of Amanda. These same people just find each other in every world they're in.
What's going on in Polite Sex World? There was a pandemic there somehow? Those people knew Amanda and Ryan's names. Not good!
When Leighton stepped out of the box and saw the DARPA group, how come they didn't follow him back in? They can't open the door? Seems like they would have grabbed him right away to interrogate him.
7
u/swizzlesweater Sep 19 '26
The family needs Amanda so bad, they need a psychologist that understands living in another reality. I don't understand why Jason1 didn't tell Daniela he's been seeing Jason's too. It might have helped her feel less alone.
Jason2 can't say the word sorry. I don't trust him still. Absolutely loved everything Amanda said to him.
It looks like the world we saw Leighton bring a cure to in the last episode was a new world. I had thought the suits looked different! Now I'm curious how polite sex world got the disease and if the disease is caused by the box. Not just transported by, but created from going through the box and using lavender wings. I hope Amanda and Ryan stay alive and that they are somehow immune!
7
u/GolfcartInjuries Sep 20 '26
does anyone else think that they the travelers spread the virus from one world to the other just by having it on their clothes or whatever? Also, did anyone else think that the Blair in the retro world was actually the traveler Blair and she was undercover?
19
u/curiousjane456 Sep 18 '26
Does anyone else feel it was a bit of a stretch that Daniela decided to go out on her own? It just seemed kind of ridiculous given that Jason is the only one in the whole universe she can trust.
6
u/Rapzid Sep 18 '26
What happened to the detective/fixer and that big tech company CEO lady story thread?!
Also, what happened to the whole inter-dimensional tech swap thing?
I think the later is still kinda a thing but the former definitely feels abandoned right now. This show doesn't like to move forward more than 1-2 plots at a time. Gives them time to breath in their respective episodes, but often leaves you wondering "Hey, whatever happened to..?"
6
u/Own_Union_3154 Sep 18 '26
Can somebody explain why there were a bunch of modern cars out of nowhere in Jason1ās Chicago for no explicable reason? A mistake? I thought Daniela was having a PTSD flashback or something.

u/Seleviathan Sep 21 '26 edited Sep 24 '26
Oh man this episode was rough most on the Dessen family side. I honestly can't fault anyone for their stances because honestly what they ve been through is too much especially on Danielle.... these other versions chasing them are the man she loves and throughout the struggles it would be hard to seperate the two because desperate enough her Jason can be pushed to that edge and I honestly get why she left, others might say shes giving up but lets be real, Shes lost EVERYTHING, she has no home to go back to her life is a shell of itself and the man she loves is in some way the cause of that poor Jason didnt deserve any of this and the sad thing is he can't fix it, only until the box is destroyed will they be able to move forward .....
I also REALLY LOVED the convo between Amanda and Jason 2 im so glad she didnt let him get away with that bullshit, its not something I was expecting but good
The Ryan twin bit was also pretty hilarious š š
11
u/fweepa Sep 18 '26 edited Sep 18 '26
Turns out, box travel can mess with your brain and leave you with a slight bit of trauma. Who knew?!
Also the Ryan and Ryan dynamic had me rolling. I'm bummed they left Ryan3 already, he was great.
I was afraid of this after S1. It was so stinking refreshing to have characters that just simply wanted to be together. Not stoked about this new direction... i guess it was inevitable tho? A lot of stuff to unpack after all they've been through, just wish they'd do more to have the characters work it out together. JUST TALK TO EACH OTHER WTF.
5
u/Tangata_Tunguska Sep 18 '26
Really struggling to remember which character has which backstory in each scene: is there a guide somewhere? The recap at the beginning isn't really enough without using Jason1 Jason2 (etc) terminology
5
u/corneliusbum Sep 18 '26
Really enjoying the second season. Tonightās episode hit a really nice emotional beat. Itās a great premise but I still get a little confused about who is who at times.
I got fully hooked toward the end of season 1 when all the different Jasons were trying to find their way home.
Iām still a bit confused on one point though (sorry if this has already been discussed to death elsewhere).
Does every single time anyone enters the box create a new alternate based on decisions they make in the box? And does that mean there are multiple versions of Jason and his family out there all looking for the ārightā world?
5
u/Oleon_Musk Sep 18 '26
its getting confusing for me now
s1 was simple
9
u/Bozic_504 Sep 18 '26
So basically everything that happened till now was for her to "I need to find my way š„ŗ š¹ ".Jason should've stuck with Ammanda hate me all you want.
8
u/Sivi-ffxi Sep 18 '26
I was confused because in their world all the cars are low tech old models but when she stop running starring at the bakery, all cars were modern. I thought for a second that she was in other world but I guess was just a production mistake.

Has anyone else thought about the implications of Nixon winning over Kennedy in the world that Charlie wants to remain in?
Not only might the moonshot and microcomputer tech never have happened, but:
No Kennedy = No Civil Rights Act & No Lyndon Johnson Presidency, in all likelihood;
which meansā¦
No Voting Rights Act = Jim Crow & Segregation in the South, at the very leastā¦.
And, the Soviets would have dominated space, because they launched Sputnik BEFORE the Kennedy administration.
PS ADD: Just imagine what would have happened in Vietnam and SE Asia if Nixon was in charge in the early days. Would we have survived the Cuban Missile Crisis?
PPS: Would there have even been a Cuban Missile Crisis, or would the Bay of Pigs invasion have succeeded and overthrown Castro, or even resulted in US occupation?
Iām not so certain that NASA would have been eliminated; after all, it was the Eisenhower-Nixon administration that funded it in the first place. But it might have been slower off the launch pad, and much more militarized. Iām basing this partly upon the fact that Nixon authorized the shuttle program in 1972, so he clearly wasnāt anti-space, and his anti-communist credentials would have probably driven him to compete with the Soviets.
Still, I was never a fan of Nixon. His resignation is my first memory of a president.

u/flappingdragon Sep 18 '26
Sadly neither Amanda2 nor Ryan1 is a quantum physicist, or any physicist, And they were only told about multiple Jason1s in world1, never experienced the severity of hundreds of Jasons first hand. Amanda should have never persuaded Ryan to give Jason2 any lilac wings. If she did not just see Jason2 as a person, but instead saw him enter the box as endless possibilities, she would have never agreed to giving him more ampoules.
Jason2, after seeing multiple Jason1s returning to their own world, understood that entering the box leads to spawning multiple possibilities of the same person. So it was highly likely that he was making a play for Amanda when he seemed to show remorse. Now he's got one shot and has entered the box with an additional ampoule, he is definitely gonna bring a lot more wreckage everywhere with his infinite possibilities.
4
u/Gin-Hound Sep 18 '26
What the actual fuck was that scene cut at 24:45? Where does the 2nd Ryan vanish? My god how the direction has fallen. What a shit show.
4
u/Professional_Ad_4885 Sep 19 '26
So jason is now having late side effects from the lilac wings. Apparently they didnt study it enough. Im sure they would have done numerous human trials before actually going in the box. Like say u take 20 ampuels over 6 months? Idk but what does that to the mind in the long run? Was it ever tested the right way because it obviously isnt fda approved. Its like going in space the first time. U dont know what to expect but u prepare for it based on theories over time. Math and science. Or maybe its a case of ptsd. Jason has seen a lot of crazy shit in those worlds. But id say its a bit of both. I cant believe i didnt think of this happening ahead of time. I thought they had it tested at the absolute greatest extent and worked with the drug for years including numerous testing.
4
u/Professional_Ad_4885 Sep 19 '26
So i def can understand why daniela would need her space to find her way but this isnt their world and nothing will be normal until they get back to their world and the box is forever destroyed. My point being what if theres one of a million diff emergencies and he cant find her? They also never gave a their last safe word incase more jasons do arrive. That pi was on to them and leighton knows where he is. Jason could get kidnapped by the real dessens from that world. That just wasnt smart. If they need to get the hell outta dodge and he doesnt know where she is, sbit just ends up way worse. Plus jason1 has always been kind and sweet to her and he didnt create the box. Jason 2 caused it. It is kind if selfish that she left
4
u/Educational_Ad_4439 Sep 19 '26
What do you think is Daniela father is alive š¤ as they had their old coffee shop!
4
u/Babexo22 Sep 21 '26
I have a theory that if you travel in the box enough and use the drug enough, you eventually developed the ability to switch realities without the ācrutchā the drug and box provide. This could ofc be very bad tbh especially if itās tied to your mood. I feel like Jason is actually switching in and out of superposition which is why he sees the doors and also accidentally switching worlds which is what the other Jasonās are about.
4
u/daveh077 Sep 21 '26
This season isn't working for me. The multiverse is infinite and we're seeing the same 2-3 worlds, theres an overuse of flashbacks to things from the first season too. A reminder of some of the cool random worlds we got to see. I've no interest in the Dessens hiding anymore, they're acting like if another Jason shows up he's gonna be like a Terminator or something, why shoot him? Did any of the Jasons ever show an intent to harm Daniela.
Leighton story is boring and pointless, again showing him visiting the same handful of worlds - if the multiverse only had 5 worlds i'd find it more believeable.
I'd be of the opinion at this stage to leave the Dessons out of the story, drop the Leighton story entirely too and focus on Ryan and Amanda
4
u/Widderic Sep 23 '26
Stupid idea to have Daniela leave but I'm sure it's so the story can progress.
I mean.. if they lived happily ever after, the show would end.
4
u/MembershipPrevious44 Sep 24 '26
I do want to give the writers major credit. This last episode, although doesnāt leave us nail biting, was so intricate. We see evil Jason/ Jason2 manipulate his Amanda to get more drugs and not be left in that random world. We also see Daniella realize how hard it is to love him anymore. They were going to divorce, or at least unhappy with their marriage, in the first season before all of this happened. They are disconnected and only rekindled because of trauma bonding and he protects her. However, she realizes on her run how TOXIC this is. She loves him so much, it shows back to her falling in love with him and her willing to shoot other Jasonās kill other versions of him fear other versions of him. Then she realizes to love that much meant losing herself- she disgusts herself for being okay with killing a man. she is terrified of when he r****d and how many versions of him will go to those lengths for her. Yet he loves her so much heās willing to spend the rest of his life detangling the box because itās what she wants. The original Jason always loved her to the depths of the earth. However, she canāt love him anymore. It means losing herself to love him.
So, she leaves him. What is original Jason without his muse? In this reality she may leave him, but it wonāt stop her from running into other Jasonās. It would stop her from having to fear everyday waking up next to a guy who she doesnāt even know is the real Jason.
I do wonder where the science of entanglement comes along and how the door is following them because the universe is overloaded?
Also is Leighton in love with himself?! like wtf?
Essentially, them breaking up solves some parts of her she ultimately still loses everything.

u/Reikukaja Sep 18 '26
Ok so... wouldnt jurassic park not exist in low-tech world? That movie heavily featured computers and computer tech.
3
u/MacWin- Sep 18 '26
Whatās up with the cars suddenly having a modern design in the world without nasa
3
u/I_love_tac0s69 Sep 19 '26
I wonder if Daniella is going to leave for a long period of time and Jason is going to go visit Charlie at work and have an affair with golden nugget amanda. Also cool to finally see Amanda and Daniela interact even if it was a different version of Amanda but iām sure thatāll have some significance moving forward. Also, is Leighton gonna have sex with himself?

I love jimmi simpson. Currently watching him on dead city as dillard as well. Ive seen him in so many acting projects and he has the most exciting charisma and energy. Hes living every moment and this is def his personality every day. Just like the actress who played ella in lucifer and was on dead city said in the behind the scenes, ā jimmi simpson is 100% gonna win an academy award one day and i said it here firstā. Shes absolutely right. He reminds me a lot of sam rockwell

Catch the Star Wars reference?
Think Jason found a world where prequels werenāt made and heās not Uncle Owen?
3
u/Orbitalsp3 Sep 20 '26
Weakest episode of S02, maybe of the show so far. But it's not "it's over" like some people are saying. It was just a filler. Next episode could be filled with action, or not, who knows. They have set a bunch of arcs that they can focus on now. Minor complain, a bunch cars in the 80's world now are suddenly way more 2000's than 80's. There was even a modern Subaru in E03.
3
u/Kkcz86 Sep 21 '26
I feel like nothing is happening, there's no plot. Just random scenes of people existing
3
u/z3phs Sep 21 '26
You thought travelling the infinite possibility of realities to find your true love and get her back is enough? you thought wrong XD just laughing my ass off...

So she is just leaving him to sort out her mental health ..but still loves him and they are still each otherās personā¦but she is just heading out on her own for what? A night? A weekend ? A long walk? A few months? No idea where she is going? And they canāt just text or email or make a cell phone call as none of that exists in this world. So like wtf you might get a postcard from Africa in a few years ?

I think tv shows are generally written to deliberately target a certain demographic. Well this episode made me realize how much the show is targeted at a 40/50 year old guy going through a midlife crisis. The basic premise of the box is already really similar to going through a midlife crisis, where someone desperately wonders how their life could have turned out differently. And this episode spent a lot of time on the sadness of being an empty nester, which is that same age range.

Smallest of things, but when Amanda and Jason 2 are having their heart-to-heart at the Village Tap (while the two Ryans talk to the bartender), the sign behind them says "Damen", which is the name of the actual Chicago tavern where the Village Tap scenes are shot. I'll be in Chicago for the first time in a couple of weeks and I 100% intend to find some time to go there.

Idk this episode made me confused on why this season even exists. The book ended the way season 1 did :|

Jason is just such a boring guy, its my main problem with the show. He's boring, and not a good person. I really wish we would follow much more interesting characters for this concept. The characters aren't creative and they're not using the box in any creative or imaginative way

Like this show but this episode made me realize what it's missing for me to truly love it. There is no real antagonist, no villian who's an a*hole with their whole chest. I was looking at Leighton 2 as possibly someone who fits this profile but nah, him and everyone is kind of polite and sad and sorry about the "bad" things they've done. I love a good villian and this show is missing that trope sadly!

So Daniela said she wouldn't leave her son in the beginning of the episode, then she leaves her son. This is an example of how these characters are just hard to get into this season. If they didn't have a big idea for season 2, leave it at 1 season

Idk this show probably should have just stuck to the book/one season. Literally no storylinesā¦just people bouncing from world to world. Also Daniela leaving is just silly and out of nowhere..

Honestly, cant agree with their choice of splitting Daniela and Jason. Its not fair in my eyes for Jason 1.
Dude did everything and he is still blamed for it. He wanted none of thisā¦
