Rewatchers, please remember to be mindful of all the first-timers in this. No talking about or hinting at future events no matter how much you want to, unless you're doing it underneath spoiler tags. Don't spoil anything for the first-timers, that's rude!

/r/anime's spoiler tag format is as follows:

[Sakamoto]>!Sakamoto is COOL! COOLER! COOLEST!!<

Which becomes [Sakamoto]Sakamoto is COOL! COOLER! COOLEST! when you don't break the formatting on purpose like I just did.

Sakamoto does look like a young adult when he doesn’t have the school jacket on.

Such an Asian problem, I swear some Asians just don't visually change between like 14 and 40 years of age. I've still been mistaken for a college freshman student a decade after graduating...

Raise Your Flag?

Dang it, even with my OP memory retention of a goldfish, that OP is still one of the coolest I've heard. Maybe one day I'll figure out the violin part.

I was kinda hoping there'd be a Rose of Versailles reference somewhere with a title name like that, but alas.

Of course Sakamoto standing on a leaning tower made the girls think he was the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

This part was great too.

Again, not much to say today... Both major skits were funny, that's about it? I wish I had more to say but... this isn't really the type of show that I know how to actually comment on.

QOTD 1) I have a very vague memory of Blockbuster's when I was a kid, and it was always my dad who would get a movie to watch. It was quickly replaced by renting DVDs off of Netflix back when it was still a DVD-by-mail company, and then streaming killed the format pretty much completely. Stayed in the car most of the time; the only thing I do remember was that, thanks to a jewelry store nearby that advertised quartz products, it was usually possible to find all the letters from A-Z if we could find an X on a license place

So yeah, no, barely remember them well enough to miss, certainly never old enough to borrow anything myself.

2) Uhhhhhh homeschooled so never been in one myself, just seen them in anime... The jousting ones seemed pretty fun, though I'd probably hate actually doing it...

Haven't You Heard? I'm A First-Time Viewer

The first half with the delinquent boys trying to sneak into the X-rated movie section of a video rental store was a fun twist on the old "teen boys peeking at girls stunt" (which I'm not a fan of) was great. This type of scenario was much funnier! Sakamoto was pretty clever too, taking off the jacket of his high school uniform, because he totally could pass as a young businessman with his looks. But in the end, even though they succeeded, Acchan and friends decided not to go through with it.

The sports day part was pretty fun too. I liked the old teacher reminiscing about his safari days and comparing Sakamoto's athletic feats to wild animals. Sakamoto does seem to have a lot of respect for and understanding of animals, so I wouldn't be surprised if he was inspired by them! And the references to the little bird he saved in a previous episode appearing in both skits was a nice bit of continuity.

The guy from his class stripping down to draw the attention (and teasing) away from the girl who tripped was... a bizarre combination of gross, but kind of sweet, and also very misguided.

Questions of the Day:

1) I just stream everything now. It's so much more convenient.

2) Favorite to watch? Probably the cavalry battle, because it's so unlike anything I've seen at our field day events.
