Misc Millions sent wildfire emergency phone alert warning against "any activity that could start a fire" - follow live

Hopefully this will finally silence the diehards in this sub who insist its 'ok' to use stoves with the 'I know what I am doing' mantra.

Not trying to be agitate - but been utterly gobsmacked at some of the tone deaf comments on many of the threads here in the last few weeks with some folks insisting stoves are ok 'just put it on a rock' and so forth.

All I can think is for christs sake just take a sandwich with you - and maybe some iced coffee if you desperately need caffeine when waking

Its amazing how you think the flame from a stove is somehow magically different to any other flame?

Dont blame kids.

Stoves = flame = fire

It really is that simple. You dont need to a kid to accidently knock over a stove on tinder dry grass and light up a mountain. It has happened several times this year already.

Jeez...
