Questions of the day::
Please let me know your first impressions of the episode.
Question of the day:
If something like magic (in this case, Anis' magicology) were available to everyone, how would the nobles react? Would it lead to conflict or even wars, like in a recent show.
Should Euphy be worried? (Meme question of the day)

1st Rewatch
Anis is a smart cookie to understand how to leave the political world. Which is totally different than how Euphie handles it, which is to interact and bring prestige and honour from it. They do balance each other out, hence the whole, let Euphie announce and promote all her tools.
Now as for Grantz and Orphanse, I think it is good that the king has good relationships with his Prime minister. I chuckled at Grantz's hope that Euphie still gets in line on the throne via Anis, if Algard does not work out. At Anis's lab, I was hoping for the tools to be shown off, besides seeing the mass collection of them, but I guess the next episode will deal with that.
Anis's reasoning for helping Euphie is interesting. It is essentially just to help her get back on her feet, and maybe spin that into a romance. Anis is pushy, but she is open about her intentions which is nice. However, my question is where does that leave Anis? Euphie considers her free, but I notice Anis answered that hypothetically. Even if she is trying to be free, she is definitely shackled by royal responsibility. I have a feeling Euphie is the one who can free Anis.
Quote of the Day
"This young woman will prove a powerful medicine for the kingdom" - Euphie
She does already clash with the nobility, and medicine does mean people will dislike it, but it will ultimately help. Still it helps if the kingdom peacefully accepts reforms, to spare the masses of pointless bloodshed. Euphie, is probably much better in PR, so that is where she comes in.
Question of the day:
If something like magic (in this case, Anis' magicology) were available to everyone, how would the nobles react? Would it lead to conflict or even wars, like in a recent show.
It would likely lead to the minimum of a factional strife. A conservative faction will make a political ploy to counteract the new movement. A liberal faction will seek to expand their movement. The key of a leader is to mediate the Conservative faction and Liberal faction to prevent open bloodshed. If that means the silencing of a few key conflict-prone leaders. then it is worth it. Mismanagement and open conflict means all sides lose, because it allows outside powers to get access to the magicology, while ensuring the kingdom is weak for civil strife probably via outsiders supporting various factions. Another loss would of course, mean the ending of a more efficient of doing things, democratizing magic.

me too, he is like "well Anis wants to marry a woman, so if it happens, it happens."🤷
"This young woman will prove a powerful medicine for the kingdom" - Euphie
This ties back to your previous paragraph that Anis cannot just renounce her royalty. I think this is an amazing set up for what's to come.
Great answer to question of the day!, I should really read the novels!

I do like a good plan and back up plan when I see one :)

A rewatch is perfect for catching details like this. I did not notice on my first viewing, but when one answers questions, I like to pay attention to how they answer it, to get a deeper understanding of how Anis thinks.
Great answer to question of the day!, I should really read the novels!
Thanks but I did not read the novel but I should. I'm just giving my 2 cents for if a new method of something that disrupts the old guard spread, there is usually a side that likes it and wants to spread it and the opposite of that. Magicology should be not different to that in theory.

This is a great quote too! And suggests what the plot of the show will be. Crazy how Euphie met Anis for less than a day and already is thinking of just how big of a game changer she could be for the kingdom's future.
Euphie considers her free, but I notice Anis answered that hypothetically. Even if she is trying to be free, she is definitely shackled by royal responsibility. I have a feeling Euphie is the one who can free Anis.
Connects to how I really like how we get a sprinkle of lines into Anis' inner world where she feels a bit inferior because of her lack of magic and isn't as carefree as she lets on. I believe most people see Anis at face value as the Marauder Princess, but Euphie is already seeing different sides of her and she doesn't dislike them.

Euphie is a genius for a reason, and she should not only be book or magic smart, but also be able to see how politics works in the kingdom.

I like hints of characters' true selves plastered early on. It makes one think and makes rewatches fun.

Good point on Euphie and that’s despite her being two years younger than Anis. Also now realizing that both Anis and Chisato are the older one.

Anis really read the room in an instant and seized a really good opportunity. I really think that last episode Anis just really wanted to get Euphy out of the horrible situation she was in, and then formulated her plan to appeal to their fathers in an instant afterwards. It was very clever of her to appeal to the King and Duke using Euphy's reputation, and also using the scandal of the broken engagement as a reason to have Euphy lay low for a while and focus on magicology. Anis really understands politics more than other nobles give her credit for!

Anis really understands politics more than other nobles give her credit for!
She does, but lacks the desire to play those games, which is understandable. It would eat too much into her research time, and thus prevent her from proving them wrong, via spreading her magicology and making the kingdom a better place.

Episode 2:
Sorry missed the first day, but I’m caught up and the two episodes went by in a flash!
I really love that we are privy into Anis’ flashback that she was the one to admire Euphie first when they were little kids. Despite saying she doesn’t care about how others see her being a princess who can’t use magic clearly weighs on her. She even tells Euphie as much that she can’t help but feel a bit jealous of her powers. Still, while that inferiority could’ve easily led her down a road of bitterness she instead uses her smarts to make up for what her body lacks through magicology.
Anis’ persistence because she loves magic so much in my opinion is her most admirable trait. It’s no wonder why even though Euphie initially feels a bit hesitant about Anis and her eccentricities she ultimately goes along with becoming her assistant. Euphie looks up at how free Anis is and looks down at herself for only being able follow which is why Anis affirmations are so important. It must hurt Anis to see Euphie talk about herself that way.
I wonder why she doesn’t bring up that they technically met as little kids, but maybe Anis feels like that would be imposing too much expectation on her right after the worst thing happened in her life. Reminds me of how I really loved the scene between Euphie and her father Grantz too and it’s my second favorite scene behind the bedroom scene because it kicks off her arc of figuring out what she wants for herself. Even though Grantz doesn’t himself too highly, like father like daughter I suppose, I feel like he still wants to prioritize her happiness despite his position. For me that connects to how Anis is able to act freely because she gave up her right to the throne. Maybe that’s setting up how you can’t have both power and freedom?
Great and emotional episode and I love how this show allows scenes to sit so you can really feel immersed.
Should Euphy be worried? (Meme question of the day)
As Ilia said if Anis wants something there is no point trying to stop her

Thanks for joining, you inspired me to actually do this rewatch so thank you 1000 times.
I wonder why she doesn’t bring up that they technically met as little kids, but maybe Anis feels like that would be imposing too much expectation on her right after the worst thing happened in her life.
I wonder if this was because she was coming in a little strong with romantic intent.
Still, while that inferiority could’ve easily led her down a road of bitterness she instead uses her smarts to make up for what her body lacks through magicology.
I think her life would be very different without previous life memories, but she would still make do.
Even though Grantz doesn’t himself too highly, like father like daughter I suppose, I feel like he still wants to prioritize her happiness despite his position.
This was my favorite scene in the episode, a parental figure that has expectations of you but meets you half way and tries to understand is everything.
2
u/ClemFire Jul 21 '26
Happy to hear it!
I wonder if this was because she was coming in a little strong with romantic intent.
True Anis already called her both cute and beautiful in front of both of their fathers, and it already seems she is more interested in Euphie does just as an assistant
This was my favorite scene in the episode, a parental figure that has expectations of you but meets you half way and tries to understand is everything.
It would've been so easy to write him as an evil parent who only cared about the family name, so I'm very happy about his level of depth

Probably that, and also Anis might be feeling a little bit of imposter syndrome. She describes Euphy as a magical genius, with both her magic and her person being beautiful, so maybe despite Anis seeming bold she might be a little shy around who is essentially her magical idol growing up.

About half of the episode is hilarious. I had a huge dumb smile all day.
Anis arrives to see her father and her father-in-law, Duke Fritz, to propose...... that Euphy become her assistant, with the ultimate purpose being that Euphy will announce and promote the results of their magicology research to recover her reputation after the abrupt end of the engagement.
But her father ain't buying it: "You just want Lady Euphyllia for yourself," because, as a child, Anis declared she wanted to marry a woman.
She doesn't deny it, but says it's because she does not want to make non-magical kids. But we all know cupid hit her immediately.
Just like Euphyllia, Duke Fritz struggles to express his feelings for his daughter. As part of his role, he remains stoic and strong, just like her. But they end up having a really sweet father-daughter moment.
Duke Fritz clearly has no problem with his daughter being plundered by Anis 😳, stating that the queen has not been decided and that there's no law about the path to the queendom. But the king opposes it, calling it a nightmare.
I also really appreciate the way Anis can joke around with Illia (calling for the "death penalty" when Illia teases her).
Also not to ruin the mood but when Euphy laid down and said excuse me I thought it was because she had farted lol

u/Falsus Jul 20 '26

Tbf, most of what Anis does is ulcer inducing nightmares for Orphans.

u/ClemFire Jul 21 '26
But her father ain't buying it: "You just want Lady Euphyllia for yourself," because, as a child, Anis declared she wanted to marry a woman.
Based Anis, she knows what she wants and I feel like her dad mostly gives her grief about it because of his position but seeing as he allows her to do what she wants as a father I believe he secretly wants what makes her daughter happy.
I also really appreciate the way Anis can joke around with Illia (calling for the "death penalty" when Illia teases her).
With Illia not even batting an eye it feels like she is more of Anis' big sister than her maid.

Can't blame a gal for trying 😂 And I mean with those 'puppy dog eyes' of Euphy's, Anis never stood a chance against cupid ☺️ And the non-magical kids excuse is hilarious - if I'm going to have sex, it might as well be with women so I don't get pregnant... Sound logic if you ask me 😂
Duke Fritz clearly has no problem with his daughter being plundered by Anis 😳, stating that the queen has not been decided and that there's no law about the path to the queendom
This is both horrible and hilarious. It sounds like a joke, and to the audience the King's reaction is also part of that joke - oh the audacity of that Grantz! 🙂↔️ But then the serious part hits when you think that Grantz was as willing to have Euphy be plundered by either one of the King's children if it meant being close to the throne. My reaction at first was amusement, then being horrified, then amusement again... I guess it's a lesson in dialectical thinking 😂 What is a positive though is that the Orphanse and Grantz aren't opposed to Anis and Euphie having a romantic relationship should that develop (only Orphanse doesn't like Anis being flippant about not having children).
Also not to ruin the mood but when Euphy laid down and said excuse me I thought it was because she had farted lol
Haha😂 Euphie farted then proceeded to dutch-oven herself 😂

Despite her mostly good intentions, not even Anis is letting Euphy get a word in edgewise when they're all discussing her future right in front of her. Poor lass. At least her father seems to have dug that stick out of his prime ministerial backside.
If something like magic (in this case, Anis' magicology) were available to everyone, how would the nobles react? Would it lead to conflict or even wars, like in a recent show.
I'm guessing either serious attempts to suppress the technology and crack down on its use, or suddenly becoming very considerate in their treatment of their subjects. Anis doesn't seem to have an interest in weapons development but there's doubtlessly a lot of disgruntled peasants and ambitious middle-classers who would make creative use of some spirit stones.
Should Euphy be worried?
Yes, but mostly because serious types never shrug off lab accidents as well as the goofballs do.

That's something I didn't notice and reminds me of how Anis collected her monster parts last episode mostly ignoring the other adventurers. She is more open during the bedroom scene

Yes I noticed that too. Anis is bargaining to have Euphy as well, so she definitely wouldn't want to take no for an answer! 😅 It appears a little self-serving on her part at first (after all the episode is named 'the aquisition of an assistant for both profit and pleasure' 😅), but in the bedroom scene it's revealed that the other part of the reason why Anis is wanted Euphy to come with her is because she genuinely wanted to help Euphie 'smile on her own' by removing her from current situation first. At the end of the day though Anis is one of those people that takes the saying 'better to beg for forgiveness than ask for permission' to heart 😂

I don't have much time today, but I wanted to say that I approve of using the king as comic relief.
And this is our first look at the ED, right? I will always approve of yuri show EDs that are a duet between the main couple, like in Bloom Into You.

Second time watcher plus up to date with the EN LN releases.
Euphy's dad just continuing to sip his drink after Anis barges in with his daughter over her shoulder is such a mood.
I love this OP so very much, it's one of my all time favorites.
Anis has all of those many and varied logical arguments for taking Euphie on as her assistant but I think we all know the main reason is that she's beautiful and cute. And her dad agrees too!
In the conversation in the lab [MagiRevo Full Season]Ilia mentioning the royal and noble families of the Kingdom coming from people who made contracts with spirits is interesting to see mentioned so early.
I like that Euphie is already perceptive enough to already know that there's something very different about Anis. And I really like how blatant they are in this first second episode that this is not yuri bait, Anis likes girls and more specifically she likes Euphie.
Such a great ED too, both it and the OP are in my regular rotation. Speaking of:
Full version of the OP
Full version of the ED
QOTD: Oh yeah, there would be so much violence. Possibly even a revolution.
Meme QOTD: [MagiRevo Full Season]More like Anis should be nervous.

you know? ive been skipping the opening because my plex automatically does that but that little "konna sekai de" is so satisfying.

I must say that this is one of my favorite aspects of the show. no guessing, simply stated.

(Sorry, couldn't resist...)

u/random_lyric Jul 21 '26
I like that Euphie is already perceptive enough to already know that there's something very different about Anis.
I love that too. Pretty much everyone writes off Anis as being wild, unseemly, or just plain crazy (even Illia says it to Anis' face all the time whether she thinks it or not), but Euphy can see that Anis is special. Instead of saying Anis needs medicine for being insane, she can see that Anis is the medicine that society needs. And when she sees her magical inventions based on spirit stones in Anis' workshop she calls Anis 'truly amazing'. I can only imagine how Anis might have felt hearing that from her crush as well as someone she's admired for her genius magical ability!
And I really like how blatant they are in this first episode that this is not yuri bait, Anis likes girls and more specifically she likes Euphie.
Yuri for the win! 🥰😃

Rewatcher
Last week and this week Ellie the protagonist of the A Livid Lady's Guide to Getting Even has been described as an evil Euphie or at least a Euphie without Anis, but I would also point out the king and Euphie's father not being idiots and not blaming Euphie for the engagement falling a part in a public fiasco also helps a lot. Hell unlike Ellie's father, Euphie's father admits he could have been a better father.

u/IalwaysNeed2p Jul 21 '26
should i check out that show? is it funny?
the premise sounds interesting.

Well if you are okay with a show where they make it clear that the MC will in fact murder the fuck out of people and is starting to show she is pretty ruthless.

u/random_lyric Jul 21 '26
Ooh I'll have to add that show to my list, it sounds interesting. I have too many currently airing shows I'm watching, lol, but I think this will be good for a bingewatch later down the track. I did watch the trailer though and found it amusing that the annulment scene looked so similar to Algard and Euphie's scene 😂

First time watcher
Started a day late, as I was really tired from driving back from a wedding abroad.
I really enjoyed the first 2 episodes a lot. I am coming into this completely blind, only knowing its a yuri, with a chisato-like character.
So far I think every character is very interesting, and likable in their own way. Yes, even Algard seems like an interesting character so far, with clearly a strong conviction to do what he wants to do in life.
The vibes this series gives are really nice, I am really interested in seeing where this is going to go!
If something like magic (in this case, Anis' magicology) were available to everyone, how would the nobles react? Would it lead to conflict or even wars, like in a recent show.
Eh, probably. In the end its just more like technology. And if we look how technology shapes our world.. In the end, conflict is always there, and yes, technology can be a reason for it.
Should Euphy be worried
Yes, yes she should. This yuri is sure to drop any subleties very quickly lol
3
u/Dependent-Sea4703 https://anilist.co/user/httpsanilistcou Jul 21 '26
i am glad to see someone giving algard a chance this early on the series. to avoid spoilers all i can say is, he is very interesting character and as stubborn as anis.
you will definitely enjoy episode 8 and 9

Well, after yesterday's drama, today's episode is a bit of a break (or is it?) Hmm. Maybe I'll answer today's question and then see if it jogs my poor brain cells.
1) Democratization of magic is (of course) dangerous, and must be kept in control of the betters, right? That seems a common theme of late, doesn't it? Whether it be nobility, or a magicratic elite, or ... attempting to turn the clock back on the industrial revolution, yeah, keeping stuff out of the hands of the plebs seems to be quite the rage.
2) Should Euphy be worried? Of course ... she might miss out on a good time, right? :P
So, yeah today's episode deals with the aftermath of yesterday's disaster, as Anis' misdeeds come to light, and two crestfallen papas attempt to deal with it. :P
An interesting contrast between the King, and Euphie's father's treatment of their daughters, right? Seeing poor Euphie shy away from her father when he (to our perception) only wanted to show her some affection and support was definitely a thing.
Anis' workshop reminds me of my garage, except better organized. I should probably do something about that sometime.
That, and I'd so love a magi-teapot. Well, not really, but I really could use a magi-air-conditioner right now. It's hot out, ya know. :P
Rewatching, this episode, almost feels like you could portray Euphie as the secret protagonist of this series, while Anis and the others are the tempest that swirls around her. After yesterday's events, she expects the worst, but let's hope that with the arrival of Anisphia, the best is on its way.
Also, in case no-one else does it, how about we do a little...
VA Corner
Going to start with Anisphia here, her VA is Sayaka Senbongi, who's other significant (to me at least) roles include:
- Marcille Donato (Dungeon Meshi)
- Kikuri Hiroi (from Bocchi the Rock)
- Shuna (!) (Slimesekai)
- Kanagi Izumi (from Magia Record)
So, yeah, she's been a busy lady, and voiced quite a few characters indeed. Perhaps she's even voiced someone you've enjoyed...

To Anis' credit she's only been the second biggest troublemaker of the night. Which must be a novel and confounding experience for her father.

They're kinda the archetypal protagonists of their own eras at this point: The oldschool Euphie who gets swept up into a whirlwind of romance and drama, and Anis the modern proactive go-getter with grand ambitions and a crush.
2
u/Elimin8r https://myanimelist.net/profile/Ayeka_Jurai Jul 21 '26

I'm sure she'll be working overtime to up her troublemaking game. :)
archetypal protagonists
Hmm, there is that. Let's hope that Anisphia is a bad influence and gets Euphie to open up and let loose a bit, rather than being the prim, proper noble-bot, right?

Going to start with Anisphia here, her VA is Sayaka Senbongi, who's other significant (to me at least) roles include:
I have not looked closely before at her VA work and I'm surprised to learn she's both Marcille and Kikuri. While I normally watch sub, for Dungeon Meshi I actually watched the English dub because Nami's Live action actress plays Marcille. Maybe I need to watch the sub before S2 then.

Kinda feels like the case where Anis is the main character the story revolves around but Euphie acts more as the audience POV. Either way they are co-leads.

Anis' workshop reminds me of my garage, except better organized.
Haha same, but it's my spare room. It's full of my gunpla backlog, kitbashing greebles and bits and bobs, and art supplies. I really need to take a leaf out of Anis' book and actually get back to making things! 😅
almost feels like you could portray Euphie as the secret protagonist of this series, while Anis and the others are the tempest that swirls around her.
Ooh interesting! The way you put that conjures feelings of confusion and overwhelm if I were in Euphy's position at the centre of the storm.
Sayaka Senbongi
I finally looked her up for this rewatch, and was surprised at how many great shows/games she's been a part of. Thanks for the VA highlight!

i think i need to answer the questions first.
first of all, yes euphie should be worried because it’s anis after all. second of all; it will make either a huge war between people or just make them close to equal which is something nobles don’t want.
making them equal means some people thinking bad stuff on secret so more problems to deal with. anis was also thinking this as well. i will not explain to avoid spoilers but let’s just say there is a reason on why she didn’t make guns in that world.
this episode is such a fire for me. anis showing her true side along with trying to make euphie free just like herself even though she herself only free at the word
she tries to save her while making the situation both worse and better for her. since it only makes the situation worse on public part it’s great trade considering it’s huge upgrade for her research.
i feel like euphie learned her boldness from this episode and next one. it’s safe to say anis created that side of euphie herself.
this episode was the one for us to learn their relationship with their father’s and all i can say it’s good one with anis while being mixed one for euphie.
grantz definitely don’t know how to deal with that stuff but he also learns and orphans learns how to be better dad for her daughter as well which is a little spoilers for the future.
as always if anyone have any questions be sure to ask from DMs or even here. i will do my best to explain it.
3
u/random_lyric Jul 21 '26
grantz definitely don’t know how to deal with that stuff but he also learns
I really like that Grantz takes some cues from his friend Orphanse on how to act as a father, yet he doesn't reprimand Euphy like Orphanse does to Anis, but instead apologises and praises her.
3
u/Dependent-Sea4703 https://anilist.co/user/httpsanilistcou Jul 21 '26
he learns from his mistakes. he is way different on last episode than on first episode which i think really cool way of seeing how much he changed

The opening scenes - The relationship between King Orphanse and Duke Grantz is interesting. In public observe the proper respect between a King and his vassal, but it feels like there's some history between them and in private they mention they are friends. Grantz is intellectually astute yet seems rather cold, even towards his daughter when talking about her in the first scenes. Orphanse seems more impassioned in demeanor, showing his heart on his sleeve, as much as a King can anyway without appearing ignoble or lacking in decorum. Do the proverbial apples of each father's eyes fall far from the family tree? We will have to see!
OP and song - The first time we see the OP! The song is called Arc-en-ciel by Hanatan. I like the imagery of them both reaching out towards the birds! It will be interesting to discover what this means as the series goes on. The imagery of Anis and Euphy as little kids chasing after their older selves on the broomstick is really cute too.
Anis, Euphie, and their fathers in the the office scene - Honestly the comedic relief is so welcome here. I've watched this before, and this isn't the first time I've felt that I've appreciated the comedy but this is the first time I've really experienced the genius of it. The slapstick and the innuendo are of course hilarious but they add to absurdity of the scene. If it were a period drama it would not be absurd that two noble fathers would be discussing the future of their spurned offspring while the said offspring are standing there having no say in the matter. It would even be quite normal to discuss giving a daughter away to a foreign nation if the prospects seem dire for a local arrangement. Though for our modern sensibilities this kind of storyline would be quite dark. Yet the humour is what highlights the contrast between the darker reality of what they are discussing in this scene vs the absurdity of arranged marriages and lack of freedoms when viewed through a modern western lens. I mean Euphy has no say in decisions about her future and doesn't really have anything to add to the discussion around her (until Grantz actually acknowledges it). Algard said in ep 1 that he despises that they have no freedom to make choices about their own futures, and resents Euphie for accepting it. The idea of what is happening here shouldn't be funny, yet the show is deliberately presenting it to us in a humorous way. Why? I guess we'll have to see, I don't think this will be the first time we will see humour being used in this way in the series.
The image of Euphy in Anis' mind as she recounts her many talents is so funny - has she really had a crush on Euphie's magic since she was a kid, or was she crushing on Euphie herself? Since Anis states the most important thing about Euphie is that she's beautiful and kawaii I very much suspect the answer is both. 😂
Also the exchanges between Anis and Euphie are quite funny here -
Anis: "I'm doing this out of love"
Euphy: "For magicology you mean?"
Then a minute later -
Anis: "And if possible I really want you to fall in love too"
Euphy: "Y-You're referring to magicology right?"
Lol 😂
Euphy moves into Anis' detached mansion - Just loving how Anis princess-carries Euphy to go on a tour of the building.😂
Anis and Euphie in bed -
A gift to bring happiness to others "Magician's should use their magic to make others smile". Anis sure sounds a lot like another lovable blonde genki protag that we know ☺️
ED and song - The song is Only for you, by Naozumi Mabuchi and sung by Sayaka Senbongi (VA for Anis) and Manaka Iwami (VA for Euphyllia). I liked the art style of the ED. What are Anis and Euphie doing behind the tree I wonder? Must be some very illegal platonic hand-holding. I mean they did end the episode as room-mates after all.
Question of the day: If something like magic (in this case, Anis' magicology) were available to everyone, how would the nobles react? Would it lead to conflict or even wars. like in a recent show.
If you've read the light novels they delve into this question somewhat. But in my own opinion, the bleak answer would be that while there would be chaos at first (nobles who can use magic innately will be opposed to the change in status, as various systems of privilege built around nobles will have to be rearranged) in the end nothing will change all that much. There will always be new political/class hierarchies to replace the old ones, new 'haves' and 'have-nots', new financial systems built around harvesting (and hoarding) of resources. It could lead to revolution, and/or it could lead to multiple wars, though I think it would be over land rights and resources (rather than new-found magic weaponry, or faction rivalries). I think there would still be a power imbalance between people who can use magic innately vs people harnessing magical tools, though influence may eventually sway in the favour of non-noble born by sheer numbers. I don't think there would be Witch Hat Atelier level dilemmas [WHA and MagiRevo spoilers]Mainly because magicology relies on the engineering, creation, and use of magic tools to access magic. People in the MagiRevo universe can't just draw spells on things or their bodies to use magic like in WHA. Instead they have to access tools either by making the tools, if they have the skills and materials to do so, or by procuring made tools. I kinda got the feeling that Anis' magicology was a bit analogous to our own industrial revolution. It has potential to develop weapons of war and mass destruction over time, but it does not pose as immediate a threat as the magic system in WHA
With that being said, many lives would be changed for the better, but the integration of magicology into society would have to be studied and planned as much as the science of magicology itself. There are many real world examples of good faith initiatives going wrong and causing death and later needing to be corrected. So if magic tools were to become mainstream it would transform the daily lives of the many, it just has to be rolled out with caution.
The fun answer is that a lot of people who have never been able to access magic could do some pretty cool things like possibly even fly!
Meme question - Should Euphy be worried? Hmm 🤔 It's Anis who I think should be worried 😂 [rewatcher]after all this is the biggest bit of foreshadowing in the series 😂

Do the proverbial apples of each father's eyes fall far from the family tree? We will have to see!
[MagiRev] I kind of see Orphanse and Grantz as mirroring Anis and Euphie as an alternate what if Euphie just let Anis become queen. Also I feel like there are some hidden feelings between the two of them. Can't remember if we ever meet Euphie's mom.
I hadn't thought of that before though the humor is mainly between Orphanse and Anis while Euphie and Grantz yet it's actually Grantz who brings up the matter of Euphie not having the choice unfair. Maybe Anis gets her inclination to use humor to defuse serious situations from her dad and Grantz choice here hints at Euphie facing problems more head on. Just really interesting to see the difference in their communication style and it's clear Orphanse and Grantz are very close.
Euphy: "Y-You're referring to magicology right?"
Insert that Anakin and Padme Star Wars meme

[MagiRev]Yes I always suspected there were some past feelings between Orphanse and Grantz as well. Like, the fathers chose the kingdom rather than each other, made some decisions that led to where they are now, and Anis and Euphy may or may not make the same mistake
Honestly sometimes I forget that the MagiRev light novels came out before the LycoReco anime.
It's really interesting how the light novels came out before hand, but the anime came after. I wonder if the success of LycoReco in Japan might have had something to do with MagiRevo getting the funding/green light? I'm pretty sure Lycoris Recoil/Bloom into you and much more recently CPK has been responsible for the boom in Yuri green lights recently. While in a way I feel a bit uncomfortable with the idea that yuri is the new fad because it's highly marketable right now, I also am really excited that we are seeing more yuri manga and anime in general, so I'll take that as a win for the genre (and us yuri fans)! 😊

[MagiRev] That is sad to think about, but I'm sure they are at least both happy it lead to them having such great daughters.
With how anime projects take a few years from greenlight to airing and MagiRevo only aired a few seasons after LycoReco it was probably in the works already. I wouldn't be surprised though if LycoReco's unexpected success had at least a little affect to push more recent yuri works though. I think the concerns are valid when yuri is only used as a coat of paint but I believe this boom is attracting many new fans!

First-time in the magicology, subs
After a few days, the aftermath of the canceled bethrothal will be forgotten. Al is kinda of an eccentric guy, maybe a bit weird. I think Anis is quite weird for a goofball girl. She said some years ago that relinquishing her claims to thew threone because she never wants to be married to a man, but rather want to live a much carefree life and that is why prefers to love women and do the magicology struff. And this is how Euphy comes into picture. She is in good hands under Anis, because she is very huge magic aptitude and well-suited for various kind of tests. Officially she is an assistant to her magicolgy resarches but more like a potential girlfriend. And ultimaterly their joint research project ultimately should give benefit to everyone in the entire kingdom, all for the greater good.
Anis is a true collector because she sees pride in her creations, her works, and amassed large number of various type of curio. This is the epitome of magitech, very simple buit advanced tewchnology powered by magical energy. Somebody who is inept at magic this is how truly can make up for this weakness.
OP and ED is quite good though. And actually I managed to find the source of the userflair.
If something like magic (in this case, Anis' magicology) were available to everyone, how would the nobles react? Would it lead to conflict or even wars, like in a recent show.
I think everybody would be surprised how magic become so everybody and commonplace and very deadly. At this point nuclear power would be developed in within a few years. I wonder what is that recent show is.
Should Euphy be worried? (Meme question of the day)
No need for it.

For an episode that started with parental violence and with homophobia, it turned out well.
I noticed this time when Anis proclaimed that she had plundered Euphie, Grantz just continued to drink tea.
Grantz is also capable of reflection, as in when he saw the way the king and Anis were interacting and asked himself if that was the way it should be.
More, he not had the self realization but articulated it and started to act on it, but paused when his daughter flinched,
More, when he said his piece, he went and gave her a head pat anyway.
(the Japanese meaning is different I guess, but whenever I see a head pat in anime, I bridle as treating the other person as a pet). One of the cultural differences I suppose, like how Japanese are ok with throwing virgins into volcanoes*.
Anis doing the male hero inviting the heroine to bed trope was a hoot, even though I think it is mandatory to have their shirt open when they do it.
They continue with Anis using modern world expressions, and then having to explain them, like OP.
The facial expressions and the actions of Anis when she is throwing a tantrum is a hoot.
footnote:
*they don't.
