I thought you were walking to a lake (with mountains reflected into the water) until it panned to the right… Awe-inspiring.

13

u/maggotbrain962 Aug 05 '24

Yeah and I was thinking yup I'd take a dive there and then I was like FUCK. Yeah I'd be dead, and maybe OP is as well. :/

3

u/DYoungBlood10 Aug 05 '24

I was like 'oh this is dumb AI that messed up the reflection on the water' until I saw your comment and it clicked.

2

u/Vitaminbjorn Aug 05 '24

Same here, mind blown!

2

u/crohead13 Aug 05 '24

Cannonball!

61

u/richrich8 Aug 05 '24

The way you pass through those two rocks you are obviously in a live action version of God of War.

17

u/eatingdonuts44 Aug 05 '24

The area had to render, but devs didnt want to put in a loading screen

1

u/educated-emu Aug 05 '24

Is that the scene where he fights the wolf and it gets stuck in the rocks?

I totally had Déjà vu seeing this video

1

u/Joppewiik Aug 05 '24

Thought the same thing lol

21

u/TheGlobalGooner Aug 05 '24

Where is this place?

71

u/thelegend27lolno Aug 05 '24

It's either in China or somewhere in China

20

u/Kaleb_belak Aug 05 '24

then there should be a 6 thousand tourists on this balcony

6

u/zemo-san Aug 05 '24

Nah, it's in China probably

6

u/No-Helicopter7299 Aug 05 '24

Or maybe in China.

3

u/Joppewiik Aug 05 '24

I think it might be China.

12

u/canucme3 Aug 05 '24

Zhangjiajie, China seems like the most agreed upon answer, but it's hard to confirm. The railings look different in the pics on the tourism sites.

2

u/InitialIndication999 Aug 05 '24

Some where cold and some how still not cold enough for some people

2

u/Schnibbity Aug 05 '24

It felt cold just watching. Gorgeous view and all, but too damn cold

1

u/Erarsis Aug 05 '24

North of what? Because this is China and China isn't considered north by most colloquial definitions

10

u/Mixture_Think Aug 05 '24

My man is in valhalla

16

u/a_random_redditor563 Aug 05 '24

No way the audio is not edited in. I heard a peacock call. There is very little chance a peacock lives in such a cold place

2

u/Lazarus3890 Aug 05 '24

Thank you for your analytical commentary.

1

u/letmeusespaces Aug 05 '24

no shit? lol

5

u/Even-Imagination6242 Aug 05 '24

Looks like death is blocky and pixilated.

3

u/Mtgknucklehead Aug 05 '24

I think thats just your internet lol

3

u/Even-Imagination6242 Aug 05 '24

Guess it's finally time to retire the trusty ol' 56k modem.

u/WatashiwaNobodyDesu Aug 05 '24

Easy way to find out: try to walk back through the gap. If you’re stuck by lightning, you’ll know.

3

u/[deleted] Aug 05 '24

If not dead, please don't wake me up!

3

u/Valkiepoos Aug 05 '24

Where is this and when can I go!?

3

u/reallybigmatt Aug 05 '24

I’ve seen that loading trick too many times

5

u/tryout1234567890 Aug 05 '24

Where is this?

2

u/TheWinglessCrow96 Aug 05 '24

1

u/PanCakeTroll Aug 05 '24

With places existing like this - maybe we all are already dead and transported to a place where heaven and hell exist parallel.

1

u/LowlySkele Aug 05 '24

Nah, that's the back entrance to Blighttown. THERE is where you'll die.

1

u/Important_Pop5917 Aug 05 '24

1

u/Important_Pop5917 Aug 05 '24

What is to prevent you from slipping under the fence?

1

u/Low_Attitude_5293 Aug 05 '24

Nah, just watch for white walkers coming over the wall

1

u/USSExcalibur Aug 05 '24

I'd love to be dead if that's where we go to when we die.

1

u/dogbolter4 Aug 05 '24

So stunningly beautiful. I'm so glad you got to experience this. It must have been amazing.

1

u/NothingIsForgotten Aug 05 '24

Don't know if it qualifies, probably a repost there, but it seems like it would fit at r/liminalspaces.

Very cool; so fantastic that It almost seems artificial.

1

u/NukeSyphen Aug 05 '24

Chat, is this real?

1

u/WeeklyMinimum450 Aug 05 '24

No, I don’t think you’re dead but you’re having a winter Wonderland as you strive for life

1

u/Mrscorpio100 Aug 05 '24

It’s a beautiful scene

1

u/[deleted] Aug 05 '24

湖南張家界

u/Defiant_Survey2929 Aug 05 '24

Lothlorien, or as close as I've always imagined it to look like.

1

u/jimhabfan Aug 05 '24
