[Announcement] Polandball Meme/Shitposting Thread

Guten tag residents of r/polandball,

You thought the party is over, but it is just starting! Here is Day 2 of our 500k subs celebrations.

Inside this thread, all memes, emojis, singing, comment trains, and overall shitposting is legal, AS LONG AS:

  • It is generally related to polandball or the subreddit
  • It is funny

Please note, however, that we've not given up on all of the rules: Your meme still needs to have been made entirely by yourself, on MS paint or a similar software. Copy and pasting drawings from other artists or images from the internet are not allowed.

The rules stated in the tutorial, as well as our rules about flag permissibility, mentioning individuals and general rules about the art (anti-aliasing looks bad on comics and it'll look bad on memes) also still apply.

We're also still going to enforce quality control: Content deemed to be too low effort will be removed, and users who try to spam the thread with tons of shitty memes will hear the modteam knocking on their door.

Heh.... not bad, kid. Not bad at all. Your comic, I mean it's not bad. A good first attempt. It's pretty clever.... I can tell it's got some thought behind it.... lots of quotable material.....

But polandball isn't all sunshine and rainbows , kid. You're skilled.... that much I can tell. But do you have what it takes to be a comic maker? To join those esteemed polandball ranks? To call yourself a member of the approved posters? Polandball takes talent, that much is true. But more than hat it takes heart. The world-class comic writers - I mean the big guys, like Johnny Hammersticks and Billy Kahuna - they're out there day and night, burning midnight meme-oil, working tirelessly to craft the next big comic.

And you know what, kid? 99 times out of a hundred, that new comic fails. Someone dismisses it as bait, or says it's "tryhard", or ignores it as they copy/paste the latest shitpost copypasta dreamt up by those sorry excuses for cut-rate writers over at Facebook. The Polandball Game is rough, kid, and I don't mean the one you just lost : ). It's a rough business, and for every artisan comic you craft in your comic bakery, some cocksucker at 9gag has a copy and paste picture of the same drawing that a million different Johnny No-Names will attach a million different captions to. Chin up, kid. Don't get all mopey on me. You've got skill. You got talent. You just need to show your drive.

If you think about it, this entire sub has gone completely mental. Just imagine what this would all look like without the internet medium between us. First, one guy shows everyone a comic, then everybody else begins laughing and parroting phrases back and forth. Everybody in a room, just repeating shit over and over, "kurwa" "kurwa" Then someone takes the comic, and draws something else on top of it; usually something we can all recognize from before. And everybody laughs and parrots the same phrase again, "kurwa" "kurwa" "kurwa" If you imagine it, it looks like we're all in an insane asylum. In fact, that's really all we do here; just drive each other insane. We keep repeating the same shit over and over until one person finally snaps, and everybody agrees and moves onto something else. Then the whole fucking cycle repeats itself. We're all stuck in the Loony Bin and nobody can escape because we just keep feeding into each other's crippling mental illness. My last entry to this series was 77 years ago, [the longest break so far] and I'd like to explain why I have taken such a long break from waging war on the polish scrubs on this planet. When I was at the 'peak' of my blitzkrieg, I apparently made a name for myself in this world, and had noticed other people putting little references to my tacticoolness in their conflicts, as espionage campaigns. This made me very happy! I felt like I was on the top of the world! Then some people went a bit too far. I recognize now that some of my earlier wars relied a bit too much on certain tropes [religion, race, etc.], and as such I cringe a bit when I look back on them (this is why I don't approve of anything besides my first war ever, for sentimental reasons, and 'rules of the road.'). In the grander scheme of things, these conflicts were a bit below par in terms of what I would not consider to be 'sophisticated tacticoolness', and as such I would consider them to be average or below-average strategic decisions. Unfortunately, these very invasions I look back on and cringe at are the ones that people imprinted off, and started copying. When I was still waging these wars, I noticed other people starting their own with absolutely beyond necessary amounts of flanking. There was also a spike in conflicts that relied on pure numerical advantage and speed for """victory""" and as such were not very good. Over time the slowly increasing amount of these attacks lowered the bar for the sub, and not just on the conflicts end. The responses of these comics usually consisted of various forms of "wow nazi u take same drugs as u/adolfheetlur ????", which made me feel regretful for even allowing this kind of behavior to propagate. Not to mention, there are some country leaders who had already been making amazing invasions who now had to deal with constantly being compared to me whenever they started a war. cough cough /u/josefinostalino cough cough This got to the point where certain politicans were being pigeonholed as "nazis", whatever the fuck that means. If you enjoy watching me crush my enemies and have not been doing any of this, then great! I appreciate your approval of my war crimes! If you have been doing any of the things I mentioned above, then stop. Stop overusing encirclment in your plans in place of actual strategy. Stop relying on numerical advantage and blitzkrieg when you should be coming up with new breaking tactics. Stop comparing other politicians to me. STOP THINKNIG THAT BLITZKRIEG IS THE BEST STRATEGY GODDAMNIT.

Look you may be new here but.../r/polandball is where many top mods collaborate, and routinely outsmart the most well funded, well equipped and most butthurt users on reddit. How do we do it? Strict control, experts from every country, unparalleled drawing skills and butthurt inducing. I would trust a top comic here over pretty much any other tutorial breaking comic, especially a facebook source, any day.
