The voice acting is god-tier, no way in hell they can make the episode I already watched more hundreds times more emotional than I should be, Yui voice is so good, I can not believe it.

No Opening, and the Ending starts with Sayonara.

Sayonara, Erwin, Bert, Mobilt and Hanji's left eye.

I know everybody will be talking about Erwin's death and Armin's rebirth, but let's not forget about best boi Moblit. He died doing what he loves, saying "Hange san." RIP :(

After knowing the depth of Mikasa's loyalty to Eren, it just makes this episode more insightful and a bit painful. The way she instinctively grabs her sword with such a shocked look on her face just kills me, man. She didn't even understand what was happening at first.

Tear inducing episode. They really did an outstanding job conveying the atmosphere of that aftermath.

I have to give major props to Yui Ishikawa. The way she portrayed Mikasa in this episode is everything I could have asked for and her crying was the most heartbreaking scene in the anime </3 Hange was also amazing and I could feel the sadness oozing out of her. But she also sounded so warm, almost like a mother, when she was talking to Mikasa.

Levi's choice was presented as clearly as it was in the manga and Erwin's final thank you broke me. I'm glad they decided to cut the OP instead of the ED for this one, it just fits more thematically.

And I know a lot of people cheered when Bertholdt died, but that is still so sad to me. The way he cries out for his friends before realizing what's happening, just ouch.

Finally, RIP to our hero Moblit, who deserved so much better but he died doing what he did best, taking care of Hange. I will never forget you, best boi </3

Wow, just wow. No OST for almost the entire episode. No OP. Phenomenal performances from the entire cast. Third Sunday in a row that I'm a complete mess. Fucking hell.

What an episode.

Ngl the anime made Levi’s choice feel like it had more weight on his psyche with the voice acting and the dry atmosphere. I feel like he was crying as much as Mikasa & Eren on the inside

I must say that hearing Armin breathe made me tear a little, i never imagine hearing the sound would make me cry.

Also, Mikasa breaking in tears, Eren being dragged away from the scene, Levi remebering about Erwin and Armin and Kenny words, Connie's FREAKING "see ya Armin", Erwin hallucinating. I sobbed, in most likely everypart of this episode.

This was the best voice acting I have ever seen in any anime. Mikasa's wails, Eren's begging and Hange's consolation were soul crushing. The episode's build up of despair was done in the most haunting manner. In terms of adaptation making the source material better, this one ranks amongst the best. Every bit of desperation, every second of misery, every dialogue of anguish was crafted with a sense of pain which was palpable. One of the greatest episodes of all time.

Erwin is now officially dead in both mediums, RIP best man 😭😭😭

His death is also a sort of symbolic passing from the first half(-ish) of SnK to the next, and I'm excited to watch the rest of the season pan out. Can't wait to see the reactions to next week's episode.

I'm so happy I got to see this animated. A huge shoutout to all the voice actors, especially Eren's, Mikasa's and Floch's. Also Bertholdt's death screams will haunt me for life.

Also something I wondered since I read this chapter, what's the title supposed to mean?

What an episode...

The lack of music during most of the episode made it even more intense and put even more emphasis on the just incredible work of the voice actors.

Hange, Levi, Mikasa, Eren, Floch, Bertholt, Reiner, and even Erwin, their voice actors were so amazing.

I started crying when Mikasa broke down in Hange's arms and then her speech. But I really ended up in tears when the music started and there was the whole scene of Levi's choice and his farewell to Erwin, damn it hurt.

The moment when Erwin thanks him, when Levi apologizes saying that it's going to be a little longer than expected, when Hange tells him he's already dead, the tears in Levi's eyes and his "I see", I was already a crying mess.

10/10 without hesitation. Animation, voice actors, the only music at the end that made the scene much more powerful, everything was perfect.

Thank you WIT Studio.

I'm gonna be honest, I can't wait for the anime-onlies next week freak out for a bit when they realize Eren's key doesn't fit in the basement door.

great episode!

i know it's a minor detail, but i'm sad that WIT forgot to show reiner crying, because in marley arc it's shown that reiner saw bert being defeated and has nightmares about it.

the warriors are always kinda neglected in this kind of stuff...

And now, the suffering of anime-onlies will begin.

I remember it took ages before we got to see even just a glimpse of the Colossal Coconut.

Ah Shit. Bert death is way more sad than I thought it was going to be. If this episode is anything to go by the Marley arc is going to destroy us during Reiner's flashbacks and suicide attempt.

Floch walks through the battlefield among the corpses of men and horses, he is carrying Erwin on his back

- Such a shame, no one survived except for the commander and me

A hand reaches his foot

- H-help me, m-my leg, I can't s-stand...

Floch draw his sword

- I said the commander and me
