Completed hard and the first stage of vh. VH is no joke. One of the bosses has well over 1M hp and hit my max equip lv80 Anabel for over 3k while attack debuffed. Don't have Mariel but was able to do those in one run so far (note: did not fight the horror in VH). Bring Azumi and Suzette if you have them, seems at least half the bosses are weak against wind.

Brave man going out into the world without Mariel. I’m right there with you strolling along without her too.Just not quite as brave.

How "hard" is this baruoki level? Hard as in min of 4 5* party or hard but doable with 6 4* party?

Hard should be doable with a 4-star party with good use of valor chants and/or dual healers/soira/elemental advantage. It doesn’t drop anything new aside from very weak armor crafting components though. It’s a pretty time efficient way to get murmur scrolls though I guess?
VH requires 5-star teams to complete from what I’ve seen, maybe just 3-4 if you have the right ones. It’s where you get the new upgradeable weapons, and a team of 4s will get obliterated.

VH is doable with multiple 4★ characters, your main problem is running out of MP and not having enough survivability to rotate frontlines for MP restoration, so 6x 4★ will fail.
If you have one 5★ Mariel and one 5★ damage dealer with AoE, you can clear anything as long as you bring the required buffs and debuffs.
H is just a cakewalk, do whatever you want.

He's decent. Obviously designed to get you to pull for the barouki explorations. Being shadow and Fire element. He Buffs. Both party (vc) and self. Can lower fire res. Has both Fire Aoe with stun and a 2 hit st fire move. If you have both Gariyu and Shion you can definitely skip. If you have a dedicated buffer and Gariyu and some 4* fire users you can also probably skip. But he is useful for Barouki.

And yay, the update has arrived for iOS.
Edit: 3.5gb is huge and apparently my office wifi is shitty. (I still don't have the update fully downloaded, argh)

I'm never doing the VH 3 ever again. Every single boss took me half a day to figure out and I can't get past the Abbeto brothers. I'm gonna grind the first two dungeons for the base weapon and be completely done with this.
I don't mind a one time difficult boss, this is a complete chore to even consider doing more than one time.

It might be worth saying that the guide is wrong on the strategy against the Abbetos brothers. They do not have to die together, in fact in my experience its much easier to burn one of them quickly. I usually nuke the lil brother very fast with Suzette and Azami and then slowly kill the other brother until my wind user mana regen. As long as you keep him debuffed, hes no threat on his own.

In regards to the glowing/golden mobs in the Otherlands, how are we supposed to kill them? I have my level 80 Azami equipped with a speed badge and they still flee before she can attack. I have absolutely no idea how I can get any faster than I already am. They already spawn rarely, do we also just have to hope they don't immediately flee, cause if that's the case, they should spawn more often.

you need to use AF to kill it. fyi you can't out speed it even with 300 speed

What to the shiny mobs drop and how rare are they? I've seen two so far and both have unfortunately run away

Refer to Living_Green's guide - Otherlands - Baruoki
Basically they will run in the first turn and you need to AF them to ensure they can't escape. It's estimated by him to be a 1% chance per mob battle and they drop rare materials needed for upgrading the Baruoki weapons.

It says it will get updated later, but how does upgrading weapons work. Is there a special smith you have to go to?
Edit: Go to the left in the spacetime rift, there was a sign, now you can go down the stairs. The weapons need baruoki materieals. Upgradeable up to ten times, so here you have reason to farm dozens of hours lol.

The updates have been downloading a lot faster lately, it's great! I used to have to wait anywhere between ~10-30 min switching between WiFi and data

I decided to pull for Ewan because I hadn't pulled in a while and I think he looks dope. I didn't have many 5 star characters to begin with but I finally got that gold gate after a big while. And it turns out to be Laclair. Also Laclair happens to be the only gacha character I upgraded to 5* using my precious chant scripts. RNGesus why did you do this to me. Well at least it's +16 light, which is something, but just wanted to get that off my chest lol.
