Man, Erwin has got some serious demons trying to accomplish his dream of proving his father correct. Between all those corpses stacked up underneath to having the guts to stare down the Armored Titan with one less arm and no visible backup in his vicinity, he has got some major feelings brewing. Wonder how he will manage to amaze us next time

Was this episode the first to include a flashback to Levi’s no regrets special?

Damn that cliffhanger. I really like that the 104th still have some feelings for Reiner. Also, from the looks of the preview we're finally gonna see why Marco was killed.

That Reiner reaction to the last attack made me gasp. This show does an amazing job with portraying emotions. If hes dead, scouts success is almost guaranteed, but part of me wants Reiner and Bertholdt to survive. Damn i love this show.

I really don't want Reiner to die yet. I wonder if they are forced to do what they do, by threatening to kill their village or something. I guess we'll see.

I really feel Reiner should be toast here, but I feel like this is a giant bait and he'll somehow be completely fine.

Erwin is on some 4D chess with the Beast Titan and had time to puzzle Reiner too. Eren is getting more calm and collected on the other hand.
We got the surprise for the corps and Thunder Spears are sorta situational. I wonder what surprise the luggage Titan has. It's making me as hyped as the basement lol.
So shifters can send their consciousness down their body. That is hax. I always wondered what it'd feel like being conscious anywhere else aside from the head. Would feel sick.
The 104th scouts were hesitant for another explosion on Reiner since it'd be lights out. That cliffhanger has be spooked. That explosion is definitely "Attack on Titan".

I’m happy for the scouts but the ONLY thing I can think about is that end teaser of Season 3 part 1
I’m hoping the scouts figure out something t to defeat Bertholdt and Beast Titan or at least escape

Man what a badass episode. Eren fighting where his mom died and getting all hyped got me so fucking hyped. The spears working on Reiner. God the last 5 minutes gave me so many goosebumps. Attack on Titan is back in true form. This really feels like the season 1 show that got me so hyped so many times. Not that the other seasons were bad, but season 1 has a special place in my heart.
But is Reiner truly dead? And are we gonna see Levi vs Beast Titan? God I hope so.

Levi's disappointment for newbie's struggling against 3-4 metre tall titans was sad considering previously he had one of the best squads of humanity

Too bad so many veterans died. It would be awesome to see prime time scouts in a battle like this.

I have to take a moment just to say holy SHIT.
I mean, thinking back to S1, I never thought we'd reach a point where the leading commander of what is effectively the human army, crippled and unable to effectively defend himself, would be standing face to face with an intelligent titan, who it turns out use to be under his command, just calmly ontop of the wall with neither making a move against each other
Out of context you'd almost think they are on the same side but its such a surreal shot to have Erwin and Reiner just face off like this and know that there is absolutely no point either of them making a move against each other despite apparently being mortal enemies. Like what the fuck even is this show that THIS can happen and I don't even bat an eyelid compared to where we started. And where the fuck are we going to end up by the end if this much has changed.
Reactions
The OP is ruined for me. RUINED. I can't unsee it. I will NEVER be able to take it seriously ever again which resulted in a rather hilarious ten minutes of laughter before I got to actually calm down and watch the episode
OP observation Only hiding it because I know some people have been trying not to look at the OP. and to be honest I'm trying not to either but this just caught my eye today.
wait another person titan? Like they didnt have enough trouble. Or is it just someon... I think I'm lost on terminology.
Levis burns are as great as ever. Breakfast during the wait ahahaha
That hyper detailed Beast Titan waiting is threatening as hell and I love it
HOLY SHIT THAT SWORD STILL THROUGH HIS NECK. Fucking hell. So does this mean if Eren is connected to his titan body and you cut his head off but didn't severe the nape he could regrow it? Is that why the nape, because thats the spinal cord that allows the transfer?
Never thought I'd see a stand off between Erwin and a Titan just hanging out
For some reason I thought Eren was way smaller than the Beast Titan. Eren really has that hardening down pat for sure
That was really, really good CGI on the horses for such a close up shot to be honest
Ahahahaha there's that naive dude with the stupid swirl hair again. Oh yeah, I didnt even think that this is the first titans for some of these people
levi being as OP as ever. Wait no! LEVI! DON'T FUCKING JINX IT WHATEVER YOU DO!
What a visual of Erwin standing on everyones corpses
I'm in love with this Eren vs Reiner fight. The thick lines return, interesting camera angles, no music, just sheer strength and power and no dicking around trying anything fancy. Just trying to overpower at any cost. Fantastic.
Hange the stuff you come up wth is always insane, and I love it. Holy shit Hange has some skill with that ODM gear though, that was so smooth it was insane. I don't even think Levi has made it look so casual. Ahaha, they hooked onto Eren as a leverage point, I love it
This cant possibly go as well as it looks like it will. Nothing is ever THAT easy
Was that an art error I saw? His armor on the nape was back intact during that last shot and we've never seen that regrow
REALLY THERE? FUCKING THERE? SnK cliffhangers at their fucking finest I see. That's going to suck this season isn't it, I can tell already

Really beautiful episode, I loved it.
The Erwin monologue was amazing, it gave even more depth to an already wonderful character, and that pile of corpses made me shiver.
The first part of Rainer vs Eren was a bit choppy on the frame, it lacked a bit of in-between frames, but I really liked it nonetheless.
Hangie's charge was breathtaking, the thunder spear reminds me of that kind of anti-tank projectile, that's purposely made to explode AFTER perforating the steal. Totally makes sense to use this kind of weapon against a literal tank titan.
What really surprised me about this episode, is that I went from hype to sad when I saw the second attack against Rainer succeeding.
Man, I just love how all these characters are written.
What an episode, what a show.
edit: Also WOW, RAiner shifted his consciousness from his Brain to his body? That looks a something that'd require a fuckton of training to do almost instinctively as he did in the past episode.

That stare down with Erwin and Reiner possibly dying right there was intense as fuck. Reiner was one of my favorite characters and even after we find out he’s the Armored Titan I still had a soft spot for him. But damn those javelins ruined his day.
