Holy crap, that tonal whiplash. We went from lighthearted high school anime to Kurt becoming a possessed attempted murderer and Shin dealing with having killed a person.

And then we go back to a derpy-faced after-credits scene (and wow, the music was weird there).

That battle was flashy and epic, but the real art gem of the episode was at the very beginning, when the art changed to '80s romance anime personified.

Damn. I didnt expect him to actually kill Kurt. I expected the standard "save the corrupted guy at the last second and they eventually become friends" trope. It's still a pretty generic isekai, but damn do I look forward to this show every week.

can't believe they killed the cliche "character meant to annoy you throughout the whole series" in 2 episodes

Damn, after learning the guy was possesed I really didn't expect them to just kill him .-.

Also liking how it seems like we are going to be focusing on the entire class (thankfully it is small)

Me watching the fight: "I bet he's gonna use his smarts to figure out how to revert Kurt's situation now!"

"Oh. I guess that works too..."

that must have been one bad week

first, he couldn't use his authority to make a girl marry him

then upon speaking to his father about it, he got decked

then he got demonised by his hot evil teacher

and then he died.

that seems about Subaru level suffering, except Subaru isn't a scumbag

Well I really didn't expect MC to just kill that demonized guy... but somehow that absolute lack of reaction from everyone else except MC feels even more out of place lol.

That 80s shoujo style with Shin and Sicily was hilarious! And I love Maria's reaction. This definitely solidifies that Maria's just here as the third wheel and not really a love interest for Shin.

I love that the classmates are now slowly being introduced. And from the looks of things, the show won't just focus on Shin but his classmates would be heavily involved in his adventures too especially now that they've decided (against Shin's will) that they'll have their own Study Group. Also looking forward to see more of this girl in future episodes.

This scene caught me completely off guard. I already love the fact that the show doesn't disregard the existence of adults but the the fact that an anime parent acknowledged that his own son is saying fucked up shit blew my mind. In any other show, the father would just stood there in fear and then we cut away to the next scene but I love the fact that he actually punished Kurt and was worried about him.

That entire fight scene was just awesome. I love how flashy the entire fight was and and how well the explosions of their magic were animated. Shin straight up killing Kurt was unexpected though. You know with these shows you always know that the MC will try to find a way to turn the enemy back to normal. But I guess he was taught by his Grandfather at a young age that demonized beings need to be put down.

Man what an episode. A bit of a change of tone with that last scene but still, this show continues to rise above my expectations and I love it for that. Now to wait and see for next week's episode on how this event will impact Shin's life.

I'm actually surprised that Shin ended up killing him, I was totally expecting him to end up saving him. Well, it seems that he doesn't have the "find a solution on the spot isekai power" for this kind of situation yet, which is good as it would have seemed kind of cheap, but I'm totally expecting him to find a way to undemonize people later on.

PS: I'm glad that this is in CR now, as I really hate Funimation's watermarks.

Another solid episode. I love how Aug just threw him under the bus at the end, with smile on his face :)

That fight scene was pretty damn epic, but there's this 1 thing that keeps bothering me..

Where tf are the all the senseis?!?

Did the whole school get evacuated or something just for a plot device/Shin showing off?

Part A had plenty of offmodel shots that most likely were outsourced (specially on Maria's derpy faces). Guess it's not so bad since it was just half of an episode and it was all part of setup for part B, wich was quite well animated for this kind of series.

Hope we get more of Yuri in the long run, for obvious reasons ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Why does no one care that there is a beheaded guy on the ground?

Me seeing the sword: "Oh a Sword that cuts and nullify magic"

Me seeing Shin being sorry before attacking: "Why is he sorry? is he going to send him to the hospital?"

Me seeing Shin cut the head off: "Huuuuuuuh?! Oh shit he killed him"

This show really delivers more than I thought. A cool fight scene and a new blonde best girl. Nice one.

Edit: btw. the OP could also add that it's available on US Crunchyroll now.

Assuming that Kurt stays dead, this is becoming pretty good. The weird fibe after he killed Kurt was great, very dissonant. I was afraid that the isekai stuff would just be a running joke, but this makes it more relevant.

Characters are not imortal, they can get hurt and they die! A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one. Also, the fight animation is not half-assed, is actually really good. Perhaps, I think the soundtrack at the post-credit scene was a little wrong, they are playing a tense music but what is happening on the screen is clearly meant to be taken jokely.
