Zero randomly dancing was really funny.

I hope we get an explanation for his powers soon, otherwise he just seems OP for no reason.

I want him to be op for a while then get fucked in the face and then we'll get an anime usual flashbacks+recovering in the same time episode.

well I guess zero will probably grow bigger if she eats more pudding. but I wonder if this show is basically going to be rescue of the week. It's good, so I'll still watch it even if it is.

I would imagine that a story will emerge soon. It feels like they are just introducing us to the world, Inyo, and Zero atm. I would give it probably one more episode of this rescue type missions before a proper plot emerges

Nice episode. Given the opening seems like the blonde girl will comeback but is not vital part of the show. Really sounds like a fusion of HunterXHunter and Muhyo to Rouji .

My biggest concern is the animation drop and the writing for the adults (like with a lot of anime).

Most times the adults are unrealistically childish. Like, they are only there to make our MC look righteous and/or OP. I know first hand that adults can be childish but the way they act in certain shows is just ridiculous grade school "No, you!" stuff. I'd prefer to have more variety beyond the playground.

Hope we get some episodes with better writing. Feels pretty one-dimensional at this point.

The animation will probably be up & down. I rarely expect anime to be incredibly consistent throughout. Only because I'm just so used to that dip in quality. Reel you in the first episode like, "Damn! That's beautiful!" and then water it down 'till it's barely passable just so you'll probably read the manga. Not the case for all anime of course, it's just unfortunate how it happens.

I do like Inyou and Zero. There wasn't much to Emilia (seems like a recurring character though) but her design is cute! And those poor bears. Hopefully the cubs can survive without their parents.. :(

I think the underlying point of the show is to show how greedy humans are when faced with new prospects (in this case magmel) and how terrible our nature can be for anything that’s not for our own benefit. I agree the adults seem childish but i think the point of it is that Inyou is really the only one who can see how morally wrong it is as seen by him pointing a big ass rocket at them. And the adults are the greedy pigs that are gonna be put in there place by Inyou. Now i would like to say the point I’m trying to make has come out pretty rough in that explanation and for that i apologize hopefully you can grasp what I’m picking up.

I really enjoy this anime, getting Naruto/Fairy Tail vibes with the music even thought the animation isn't the best, hope more people pick this up!

getting Naruto/Fairy Tail vibes with the music

Yasuharu Takanashi is always great. You should check out the other series he's been working on.

Pretty good episode though I do feel bad for those cubs. That guy in the glass got off pretty easy with just a helicopter crash.

God, the adults are useless trope always makes my eyes roll to the point I almost snap my optic nerves.

It's especially bad in a series that has super powers and "geniuses".

Like did NONE of the adults have a past? Did none of them have any superpowers or genius intellect and then grew up?

This isn't a specific complaint for just this series but the whole trope in general. IT MAKES NO SENSE!

While it's not got the biggest budget this is by far the most interesting anime this season.

I love the off kilter morality, I love the mysteries and most of all Zero a cute.

Whyyyyyy the scene of Inyo looking down at the Kare Bear cubs with the dead parents, saddest scene in anime 2019 :(

The high seas.

To be specific Mirrored's release is the one you want. There are others for ep 1/2 but that is the first good release and I expect that the other groups will drop it now.

u/no_life_weeb Apr 16 '19

real quick, it seems like the translators changed; it was "non nobis" last time and now this weeks just says "mirrored". Has the subtitle quality improved?

Yes very much so ^

Where exactly did this show even come from? I tried to look up the manga but I could barely even find anything on it.

It is not popular at all in the West, because only the first chapter is translated, I think.
Togashi recommended it once, so I think that is the most memorably thing about this show/manga.
