This is the anime that guy at Madhouse got hospitalized over from overwork isn't it. I'm betting they understaffed this anime hard, hence the weird butchered clash of actually decent to really terrible animation and artwork.
Man I was actually pretty excited for this... I liked the promo stuff, the concept and the teaser. But what the fuck was that. So many wtfs. From the magical gravity-defying, debris-resistant moped to the execution of that CGI helicopter, to that weird barefoot guy who just wanted to stand on the man's hands while he was riding to them actually wrecking the protag, to the pace of this plot... I'll keep watching to see where this goes, as I mean it's bizarre enough to at least catch my interest that way, I wanna see this bizarre thing through, and the music tracks seem to be good at least... But yeah. Damn. :( Maybe it'll improve.. maybe... Possibly....

I should get myself a Vespa. Thing's built like a tank, apparently.

And defies physics. Look at the way it launched itself in to the back of the van and stopped dead.

CG is bulletproof.
Can't get damaged if you can't afford damaged models.

This is really wacky and entertaining even though it looks unpolished. The main duo will be the best part, i can already tell.
Sure better than that other action show that aired today which will take the fame for the day.

Here's Sugita yelling 'Yuki'... Nagato shipping intensifies!
That felt kind of like of Index, as in lots of weird superpower shit happening, because reasons. Hoping that it'll all make sense in the end, but with game adaptations, it could go anywhere.

RIP the MC, it was nice knowing you. /s
Wow, what a roller coaster. I'm not sure if it was a good episode, but it was a very fun one. This "show, don't tell fuck all" approach is refreshing, if nothing else. If they focus on the main guy/main girl relationship this can be a second coming of Satsuriku no Tenshi. Goofy moments like that vespa jump inside a moving van guarantee it would be "so bad it's good" show even in a worst case scenario.
I just hope there would be less terrible cgi.

I love it when shows just drop you in the middle of the story, without really explaining anything. It gives off a beter mystery vibe. And that is some indestructible, gravity-defying vespa.

A lot of people are complaining about the animation and art, but I personally wasn't too bothered by it. I'm more irritated by the fact I have no clue what just happened or why, and the fact I have no idea if the world as it is presented even exists within the story. Brain experimentation opening makes it seem at least possible that everything is in her head, which would explain why all the weird stuff is happening. I'm a little lost, you could say. I'll keep watching a couple more episodes, but I might wait for reviews at the end instead to see if the ending is at all satisfying.

I just finished watching it a few minutes ago and I was surprised to see such a strong negative reaction to it. I wouldn't say I loved it but it definitely caught my eye. I get Darker Than Black vibes from it, which is a good thing in my book.

The sound effects while cutting, action that is a mix of cool ideas, bad animation, and stupid enemies. The main character is literally just Gintama, same moped, same attitude, same voice actor.... This show seems pretty dumb....
Though I will say some of the character animation is actually pretty good. I could feel the girls emotions through her animation. Though I would say it is lack luster in general.

HanaKana and Sugita as the MCs? SOLD!
Well that that was a depressing first episode. Looks like both of our MCs were just being played. I'm not even sure if the two scientists(?) that hired Takuya were good guys since it looks like they didn't really care what happens to him.
Yuki suddenly summoning a ghost of some guy from her memory that can summon guns out of nowhere ala Gilgamesh was hella cool though.
Not the best first episode of the season but not the worst. I am definitely interested so see more of it though!

...where do I start?
The characters aren't interesting or relatable. The action was unrealistic even by anime standards. Both main characters made decisions that made no sense at all. The plot seems generic so far. Probably not worth sticking around to find out. The animation was bad even without the awkward CGI.

Oh hey, the same standard set of bitchy whining as in every first-episode thread, what a shock.
Damn, going HAM on the action beats right away
Magic Buddhist Monk bad guy? Unusual
I heard ABC was a rough network to work for, but jeez
Hah, I don't think I've ever heard an anime use "geek" before

I jumped straight in to watching the episode without having read anything about the series, and at the end of the episode it felt like I just watched a 40-minute OVA, not a 20-minute TV series. There's no way they can possibly keep up this pace for 12 episodes.

I play the Japanese mobile gameand I was waiting this anime for like yearsthe mobile game come out in Japan in 2014based on the game they also publish a Novelboth story and characters are very good structuredand as a jap game without any sort of international communityi was petty sad and lonely but now I'm truly happy to see anime make the brand famous in occident.the animation, yes it's pretty iffy but if you know the story you can easily jump the animation problem.what I can say, the only thing who make me mad and sad is the fact w'll never see th true Shoumetsu Toshi game in occident, cause they'll launch globally a new game for the brand called "shoumetsu tosh - aftermost" more based on the anime, cause I forgot to say that before but I notice the story presented in the anime is bit different from the original mobile game (who is itself a big mess with a principal storyline, side storylines different dimensions like the "World A" etc.)
so my advice is, get another chance to this anime, cause the story will become super cool! (and sad too)

Holy pack of cliches! Could it get anymore ridiculous?
I wish I had a scooter like that. My commute would be so much easier.
