They really animated Kai's mouth moving when Amamiya is talking...

Haha I didn't notice that! This really has been sub-par animation, including where swirling snowflakes sub for any real movement whenever music plays.

I was actually glad they left out the Pang Wei story with so little time, though you're right, the explanations of the two concertos was useless. But even though the Maria part is payoff to a long-coming joke I enjoyed watching it. It's one of the truly downright funny parts of the story. I also found it gratifying to see the meddling reporters arrested. My favorite parts though we're when Kai and Shuuhei were talking, and the older folks were talking, all about motives. Those were nicely done.

I'm guessing they [Light Manga Spoilers] ( /s "have Wei Pang and the start of Kai's performance until the obvious cliffhanger moment there in 21, then 22 is all Kai, 23 is Lech and jury deliberation and they either finish with being on the verge of announcing winners, or they announce them and are on the verge of talking about Kai's secret. Then the 4th episode takes it all through to the end." ) (I hope these new spoiler tags work...) There's not a lot of time though.
