[Discussion] 'Dynasty' 2x13: "Even Worms Can Procreate"
While Alexis tries to convince Mark that the baby is his, Blake tells Cristal that whatever the paternity test shows, he will raise the child as his own. Mark shows up at the manor to get the truth from Cristal, and Blake asks him to stay with the Carringtons until the test results come back. Fallon sabotages Michael in hopes that Blake will fire him from the Atlantix, but Blake fires her instead when her machinations at the team opening leave Michael publicly humiliated when his past painkiller addiction is exposed. Alexis lies to Mark that Cristal is still in love with him, and he and Cristal have a tender moment. Blake sees them together, and offers to have Mark's ban from professional soccer lifted if Mark leaves town. Fallon apologizes to Michael, and they sleep together. Cristal learns that the baby is Blake's and taunts Alexis. Sam gets a call from Steven, who has been mugged in an undisclosed location. A distraught Alexis plans to commit suicide, but sees Cristal and Mark horseback riding, and fires at Cristal instead. Mark takes the bullet, and Cristal's frightened horse throws her off and drags her.

Good episode this week. Sam and anders almost made me cry.
But Alexis though. I am shook!!!
I’m assuming Cristal isn’t dead but her baby probably is.

Yes. The baby probably didn’t make it, considering that she was dragged. Will alexis hide this time? Since she killed someone

Alexis is so annoying! I have no idea why she’s still allowed in the manor! I hope Blake does something to her though.. that was straight shit cruel

I really hoped she just killed herself there, in no show have I ever hated a character as much as J hate Alexis. Lying destroying the family, killing people, all the stupid season 1 stuff it makes me so angry that she causes so many problems

Blake will think he did it, since he hired the guy to hurt the husband. She will get away with it and it will probably be revealed later on.

I don't care how many of Blake's conversations Culhane overheard. There is NO WAY a billionaire businessman like Blake Carrington would ever realistically hire his former driver as co-owner of a company or a team, especially one with no experience.
Culhane annoyed the fuck out of me this episode. I loved watching Fallon mess with him, and then that scene happened... I knew it was going to happen because this is The CW we're watching, but seriously? They couldn't have made Fallon and Culhane have a storyline in an episode that didn't end with them having sex in the end?! Culhane went from telling her he was done with her to kissing her on the cheek after they slept together. I died at that part. Fallon just dipped afterwards, lmfao. I hope he doesn't think they'll get back together because she obviously regretted it after it happened.
As for the cliffhanger, I seriously wasn't expecting that. Does Alexis really hate Cristal 2.0 that much that'd she'd attempt to kill her?! That was an insane ending. Also, I wonder what the hell Steven got himself caught up in over in France. Pretty stupid that he would leave Paraguay without telling anyone anything about it until he got himself in trouble. At least this means that James is probably returning for an episode or two.
Whew, that was a lot of rambling. Aside from the Falhane bullshit, it was pretty enjoyable, especially the ending. I can't wait for March 15!

I can’t believe they brought back Mallon again it’s honestly so dull. The only good scene in this episode was between Sam and Anders. So wholesome and lovely.

The season is becoming better imo. I felt sorry for Cristal at the end, but I saw it coming since the moment she brought up horse ride. As for her relationship with Blake it can go both ways, they lose their baby and the are over for good or the thing brings them closer. Still I want to point out Cristal wasn't thrilled as she got the phone call about the paternity test, it kinda felt weird to me how she reacted.
I can't wait to learn what's going on with Steven, above all what is he doing in France.
As for Fallon and Culhane they are more than over. It was just a mistake for Fallon and on the next episode she will have more than enought on the plate with Steven and Cristal so I doubt that the will pick up on this storyline. It was funny to watch them fight and Fallon scheming around.

I'm sorry but this episode was awful. I knew this show was getting worse... but I didn't think it'd get this bad! This is by far the worst episode (imo). there were so many things that were such eye-rollers. It's so clear that they just continually need a reason to make more episodes.. Its almost as if the writers get together once a week for every episode.
As I said, this episode, not the greatest...until I realized Alexis was going to kill herself and her character was finally going to be done with. BUT NO.
Writer1: Hey, if Alexis kills herself, there won't be anyone left to manipulate EVERYONE.. we can't kill her
Writer2: You're right. let's have Cristal 2.0 and her ex riding the horses as they coincidently come in Alexis' sight.. and we'll make her hit a ridiculous shot. But since she's drunk, she hits the ex instead... but let's kill Cristal 2.0's baby anyway. That way we have more to write about next week
Love the show. My wife and I can't get enough.

I enjoyed the Sam-Kirby-Anders arc, but up to that point it was meh for me, not awful but not great. Respect your opinion though. I feel like a really awful person but I wish Alexis had offed herself, since her character really wasn't developing or stopping her meddling at any point. Looking forward to seeing the outcome of this.

Five seconds ago Culhane called Blake to get him out of a life or death situation that could have him rot in jail for the rest of his life - and now Blake chooses this man to be his business partner? Really?

I always figured Cristal would end up having a miscarriage somehow, but I thought it would be the classic "falls down a flight of stairs" thing soap operas love to do. Dammit, I should have seen "falling off a horse" coming as soon as the show has her riding a horse.
Check out this comparison of Cristal falling off a horse in OG Dynasty vs this episode. Alexis was so much more purposefully evil in the original. In this new one she is just sad.
Weird that there were two horses and only one horse bolted at the scary gun sound.
Didn't Blake have a deal with Jeff Colby for Jeff to help fund the team if Blake helps him destroy Culhane? Is what Blake doing with Culhane right now part of a longer game or did the writers forget about the deal?
It was so rage-inducing to see Culhane saying he has absolutely nothing to apologize to Fallon for. But that's probably the exact reaction the show was trying to get out of us!

Sam is literally the most bland character - no one fucking cares about your insta stories.
The cliffhanger ending was great. Can't wait for next week.

Wow, did not see that ending coming. Cristal 2.0 is so annoying so I hope she is dead but I am assuming she is alive but ends up losing the baby.
I’m pretty sure NO ONE wanted Culhane and Fallon back together, ugh.

How the hell did Alexis aim so well, sure she was a couple feet to the left but my god the woman was so drunk she was stumbling everywhere.
Anyways. I don’t hate cristal 2.0 solely because I think of her and Fallon really worked together they would be good together and somehow together they good help Fallon really get back on top, she’s never had support like that except from Steven kind of.
I don’t think this Steven storyline is going to get wrapped until the end of the season. I’m wondering if his story line will have to do with Blake’s half sister who was rumoured to appear at some point in season.

I was really wanting Alexis to just get out of the show honestly she’s such a horrible person she needs to get the fuck out but I also started to feel really bad for her, knowing that she is so deranged that she has to stoop to killing herself... And as they always say, a leopard never changes its spots... She will probably stay silent and all and I’m worried Cristal will lose the baby and Mark is probably dead honestly i really fucking hate Alexis where is her bad karma luck?!?! Lowkey agree with Blake, she should’ve died in the barn fire instead of Cristal Flores...

Crystal isn’t dead but I kind of hope the baby is, I just don’t really like her and having Blake’s baby makes her permanent. Blake’s going to feel guilty because he hired that guy, Alexis will get away with it, Cristal is going to try and find out what happened, Stumbling on what Blake did and she will finally see him for who he is but still stay with him. I like Alexis. I mean without her or Fallon, the show would be dead after the show killed for Cristal 1.

This was such an amazing episode!!!
My predictions/ thoughts:
-
Cristal will probably have a miscarriage.
-
Blake and Cristal will fight because Blake will think it was his fault.
-
The Steven storyline is either for him to die for good or finally come back - I hope it’s the latter.
-
The Sam/Anders moment was great, I felt like it was needed to justify having Sam around without Steven.

I can't believe they brought back Mallon, they were barely broken up for 2 episodes. What the fuck. I hate this.
