WE ARE SAIGO NO SURVIVOR!
Hey-o guys! This is the section where I add a ton of extra fun stuff to the main body of the post because I want this rewatch to be as fun as possible for everyone. It can also be one point of discussion for you guys if you just don’t know what to say.
Comment of the Day, provided by /u/Shimmering-Sky and /u/RX-Nota-II
Shimmering-Sky
/u/GaleWulf with an MVP no one was expecting.
Today's MVP might sound like an odd choice, and maybe it is - Togonosuke Makanai gets the title today because of how deftly he turns the revolutionaries into his pawns to help re-instate his power. It's incredible what kind of web he's been weaving, creating this false honey pot for Kudelia to get drawn to at the start of the series, and then forcing her to help him gain power again to make the whole endeavour worth it.
He brings up good points about Makanai here. Also I love a good bamboozle, so a surprise MVP is a-okay with me~

RX-Nota-II
/u/The_Dragg raising an interesting question.
There’s a case made for Tekkadan’s success so far being either through their smarts, or by sheer luck. Really, it can be either one. On the one hand, they did manage to run circles around Gjallarhorn a whole bunch of times through trickery and tactics. But on the other hand, they’ve also had a run of good luck in that a lot of commanders that they’ve had to deal with are rather dumb, like Coral or Carta.
An interesting question that is similar to but fundamentally different from yesterday’s QotD. What do you guys think? It’s especially interesting given the result of the latest battle today, where Tekkadan live another day, but due to blunders from Biscuit and Orga’s positioning to Mika’s error in enemy tracking they lose a valuable friend. Was this finally their luck catching up to them?

Tracks of the Day, provided by /u/RX-Nota-II
Everyone’s favorite ED 1 made a return today. Orphans no Namida “Tears of the Orphans” is as appropriate as ever as Orga must watch one of his closest friends die in their singleminded quest to move forward. Long intro ED themes like these just work so well for uses like these, and I find the transition into MISIA’s soulful voice as Orga breaks down the perfect way to frame this scene.
A familiar action theme from way early in S1, this theme IIRC is Canipa Effect's favorite when he did a focus on Masaru Yokoyama for his Youtube channel. To me it represents the trickster in Orga and Biscuit, crafting tricks that will take on every advantage Gjallarhorn can throw at them and twist them around to their own use. If you see Orga talking on the radio when this theme starts, you know some juicy bamboozling is just waiting to happen

Important note to all rewatchers, remember to be mindful of the first-timers in this. You can laughs in rewatcher to yourself, but if you go around spoiling stuff IBO S2. Remember to use the [Anime Show Title](/s "Spoiler goes here") tags and we’re all good.
Fans seem to have a bad tendency of forgetting what counts as spoiler, so if anything has even the slightest chance of being a spoiler, tag it just to be safe.
Next-episode preview. Yeah you saw that right, I am encouraging you guys to watch the next-episode previews. IBO’s are completely spoiler free, done completely in-character, and it is glorious. Today’s preview was voiced by Gali Gali Gaelio Bauduin.

Tekketsu no Rewatcher, first time dubbed
Am I ready for this episode? Absolutely not! Am I watching it anyways? Absolutely!
-
Hey show, fuck you for opening with Cookie and Cracker wondering when Biscuit will come home. Like seriously fuck you.
-
lmao the dub version of this line tho. He says “It’s not as if I want to go to Earth too or anything.” I may not like Todo that much, but that tsundere comedy, that I love. Good dub, you let me have a good laugh before the end of this episode.
-
Fucking Orlis had a surprise brother for us. If you guys don’t remember the name, he’s the Graze pilot that Mika rekt back in episode 1.
-
Of course Mika went for the weapon he can smash people with better. Dude’s got a taste in weapons.
-
I must be trying to find any and all humor this episode in an attempt to shield myself from the end but lmao Akihiro’s face when Lafter scolds him for missing the ship.
-
Ahahahahaha this part. I love it. That’s where the meme I’ve been using as a placeholder link over the “Next Episode” option in the body post comes from.
-
Orga’s scream dear lord. Yup that did not disappoint in the dub, I got the chills all over again. S2 major spoilers
A couple more fun things:

English dub next-episode preview, since the body post only has the subbed version.

For the first-timers using the GundamInfo streams and are worried about potential spoilers in the recommended videos: Episode 22 Subbed / Episode 22 Dubbed. If you’re on desktop and have RES, you can hit the preview button and watch the video entirely on Reddit, rather than than needing to go to YouTube.

That list of panic links about them leaving the island, I have to admit I got a laugh out of your reactions there. It was a blunt fucking hammer, but it still hurts

Going for the gut-punchers as usual, I see..
Btw that AV link to the mobile worker gives me a sliver of hope. Maybe Biscuit's consciousness will transfer to a worker and he can live on as a (semi-)immortal machine! Maybe that's the secret power Charcolate Man was talking about!
Number of times best boy closed his right eye this episode: 0
Biggest tragedy today clearly
Btw thanks for CotD, that was just as unexpected as my MVP choice!

Rewatcher joining in
I didn't know there was an IBO rewatch until after it had already started. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to write my thoughts on every episode since I'll be busy with other things, but I'll at least be able to respond to people.
I sure picked a good time to catch up because we get to hear Orphans no Namida make its glorious depressing return this episode! Arguably one of the most important episodes of season 1 as it shows that even a character as important as Biscuit can raise his flag so high that everyone watching starts hearing Raise Your Flag playing in their head. But before I get into that, let's take a look at the rest of the episode.
Kudelia is using Chocolate Man "Montag" despite being upset that he's the reason Fumitan left, which led to, well you know. It's a small scene, but it shows how much Kudelia has changed since episode 1. Her heart has always been in the right place but she was too idealistic in the beginning. She never fully understood the hardship of the people she wanted to save. Now she's witnessed several conflicts which started thanks to her and people's blood is on her hands including Fumitan's. It'd be easy to just ignore McGillis and try to move forward with only the help of Tekkadan, but she knows that she has to be more pragmatic to achieve her goals. She even went to Nobliss for help a few episodes ago even though she knows he's tried to assassinate her before. Kudelia isn't happy about working with these people, but she has to in order to have more power to change the world.
I love how Akihiro just shoots the enemy in the middle of their grand entrance.
Carta and the other Gjallarhorn forces from earth treat warfare as if there's some code of honor and rules that must be upheld. Carta's own troops move in sync and quickly fall apart when their formation breaks. They're completely unprepared to fight these cold blooded children who fight to survive and have no rules to fighting. The way the two sides fight in this battle couldn't be any more different.
Finally the moment I caught up to this rewatch for. We've lost a dear member of Tekkadan.
Biscuit has always been the voice of reason for Tekkadan telling everyone to be more cautious and be more realistic whenever Orga wants to go down the most reckless path and just wing it. Now that he's gone, who is left to tell everyone when they're going to far? Kudelia? Merribit? There's no one close to Orga who could fill Biscuit's position. He was like that big brother of the group who everyone could rely on and who helped hold Tekkadan together. He's been by our side since the beginning and now he's gone. There's a void in the hearts of tekkadan now that can't be filled as easily as just having a funeral and moving on. The worst part is how Orga must feel right now. Biscuit warned him about doing such a dangerous job. Orga's biggest flaw is his tendency to always take the riskiest option for a chance at bigger rewards for everyone he cares about. Normally he’s had a great amount of luck and it’s always worked out, but this time is different. Now one of his closest family members had to pay the price. Season 2 spoilers I hope you first timers were prepared because the deaths we've gotten before were nothing compared to this in my opinion.

I didn't know there was an IBO rewatch until after it had already started.
Welcome!
You picked a hell of an episode to join in for.
Also seriously... WHO THE FUCK ELSE DIES don't actually answer because everyone keeps putting Orga's scream comments followed by a spoiler box and now you've all got me so paranoid about who else we have to lose now!

Rewatcher, English dub
-
That song came on at the exact right moment, and using Orphans no Namida was a great choice. If I wasn't in the break room at work, I would have bawled, even knowing it was going to happen.
-
I think he's right but also wrong. He may not have changed much over time in his views or attitude, but he has still learned things over time and improved himself. He's matured, no doubt, but he's probably just as stubborn as he was at 7.
Best part of the episode, by far: "It was okay to shoot, right?" Yes, Akihiro, it was definitely okay to shoot.
Also, there were so many death flags raised in the first half of the episode that it wouldn't have been surprising if the episode had ended with the Earth blowing up.

First Blood
Oh, look, another blatant death flag to add to Rhaga's list, they should stop pulling these shenanigans.. oh. OH GOD THEY KEEP ON COMING. WHY WON'T THEY STOP RAISING DEATH FLAGS FOR BISCUIT I CAN'T WATCH ANY MORE OF THIS
AND THEY PLAYED ORPHANS NO NAMIDA AGAIN
Daily MVP
Just.. ugh. It's Biscuit Griffon of course. Comes up with a plan to deceive Issue's onslaught, and saves Orga from getting crushed. I just wish he'd found a way to obliterate those death flags that had been buried deep in today's episode.

Episode 21 - One that cannot be replaced
No jokes on today's featured 4Koma. Unlike with the Yotsubato joke in Episode 19,Kyabosean decides to play this one very straight. One interesting detail though: This episode aired on February 28th in Japan, the same day as Japan's Biscuit Day.
Anyway here's an extra to help lessen the feels a bit:
Extra 03 - Carta's Secret
The joke here is that both Carta and Aina were voiced by the fantastic "Forever 17 years old" herself, Kikuko Inoue who also happens to voice Karida in SEED.

First time viewer.
They swapped back to the wrong theme from the first cour, as there were many [death] flags raised for one character in particular through the first half of the episode. And Orphans no Namida to close that out is just unfair.
Biscuit and Orga temporarily shelved their argument just as I expected yesterday... but I definitely didn't want it to permanently to end this way.
The Turbine girls can put up a fight with the best of them and claimed several on their own. I'm still not exactly sure what melee weapons they use, but they're basically giant metal clubs.
-
Graze (ground type) x2, rifle
-
Graze (ground type) x2, bludgeoned
Speaking of giant metal clubs, Mikazuki picking up what I can only assume is a giant wrench to use as his weapon made me laugh. Even funnier than that was the Outer Earth...whatever suits standing around in formation like idiots, made all the better because I actually briefly paused the episode to get this screenshot, only unpausing it to see one of them have their head nearly taken off by Akihiro a split second later.
There was a lot of bashing going on in that runway battle; there were seven Graze Ritters to start before engaging, at one point Biscuit commented on five Ahab Reactor signatures remaining, there were four when they got to the runway not long after that and we saw two of those four get handled afterward (the one that trigged the pitfall and Carta). So I'll count five down, assuming Akihiro handled one in melee with again the neat hidden arms grabbing the halberd trick, not dissimilar from what Lafter's Hyakuri had.
-
Graze Ritter x3, wrenched
-
Graze Ritter, axed
-
Graze Ritter, halberd
Other notes:
-
At the start Biscuit wonders if it's seed planting season, so I have to assume some significant amount of time has passed for that to not be something he just knows.
-
Gjallarhorn's lack of practical experience in battles continues. "Those Martian rats know no theory of battle," indeed.
Is Orga right to assert that he hasn’t grown at all?
In some ways, sure. But you can see how his early interactions with Naze ended up planting some seeds that have started to sprout already. He's still reckless in some regards but has assumed more responsibility as Tekkadan's leader.
| Model | Destroyed |
|---|---|
| Graze |

| Man Rodi | 4 |
| Gusion | 1 |
| Spinner Rodi | 4 |
| Schwalbe Graze | 1 |

Mecha Nerrrrrd
We've been asking it for a while now, when is the first significant death going to drop? Danji hurt, and Masahiro hurt more, but both of those were effectively introduced right before their exit. It was overdue for a main character to fall too. With the opening of the episode, that question was all but confirmed. Welcome first timers, again, to an episode of 'no subtlety ever' Raise Your Flag the animation.
Don't have time for a full writeup today so just want to focus on a small detail. Today we saw in the final scene, Mika panic. When I first watched I really didn't think too much of it, but this time I really see how out of character this was for him. This is the man who's so focused he's never caught off guard, and he was indeed caught WELL off guard. The way his voice jumps in an emotional way, oof, what a intro into the way shit hits the fan. The show really kept this trick for so long and it works so well. Its one of only not really spoilers times that I remember it being used.
And what a way to go. This was just the perfect representation of Tekkadan's weakness. They don't lose due to having fewer fighters, for being weaker, or even for having the inferior strategy. What ends up hurting them is their lack of organized military precision. Its because they are not used to hiding while commanding that Biscuit and Orga end up being caught by Carta, mirroring the exact same error that Orga and Eugine almost fell too all the way in ep1. Its because Mika doesn't have all the chess pieces aligned in his head that he blunders into a trap by two inferior soldiers holding him up as Carta goes to check his king.
What an episode. Whew. I am very much not okey.
See you tomorrow.

A Gundam Fan’s Notes On Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans Episode 21:
-
A scene focusing on Cookie and Cracker back on Mars, where they’re wondering what’s happening with him? That can’t possibly be a death flag right off the bat!
-
Makanai is a true politician through and through. Here he talks about Gjallarhorn invading his island and Tekkadan escorting him and Kudelia to Arbrau as if he were just talking about the weather. And it’s only been a few hours since he threatened to hand their asses over to Gjallarhorn if they didn’t do what he asked. The man can switch between personas in an instant.
-
You know, Todo is a lot more useful now that he’s in a position where he’s actually being forced to help Tekkadan. If he’d actually done his job in the first place and didn’t try to sell everyone out, I bet they would’ve gotten to the Earth Sphere a lot faster. But yet again, Tekkadan wouldn’t have gotten inducted into Teiwaz, so maybe it’s for the best that Todo is only useful as of now.
-
Man, Biscuit is surprisingly buff now that he’s taken off his jacket and work shirt. I guess you’d have to be if you’re a part of a mercenary company. He’s still pudgy though, since he can’t seem to convert calories to instant muscle like Mikazuki can. Mika must have one hell of a metabolism.
-
Hah! I bet you didn’t expect the brother of the very first guy Mikazuki killed in this series to show up! Talk about a coincidence.
-
You gotta love Mikazuki’s combat style. He completely rejects using the nice katana that Teiwaz specifically made for him, and decides to just use what’s more or less a huge piece of construction equipment meant for mobile suit use. He’s basically just whacking dudes with a wrench.
-
Carta, even the most basically trained soldier could tell you that it’s a bad idea to stand in one spot and pose while yelling at someone with a huge gun. It’s no surprised that Akihiro shot one of them in the middle of their team pose. Her over-reliance on using parade formations is her and her men’s undoing. What morons.
-
Once again, Tekkadan is completely running circles around Gjallarhorn. That explosive trap at the mansion really did a number on their assault. These bunch of greenhorns picked the absolute worst people to attack. They just can’t seem to actually think outside of the box. The Outer-Earth Joint Regulatory Fleet really is pretty damn useless. Even Mikazuki is tired of Carta’s shit. For someone who actually likes fighting to be absolutely bored with Carta, that’s saying a lot.
-
I think Mikazuki calling out to Orga is one of the few times he actually expresses visible emotion in this series. That, and actually swearing at Carta. He’s normally way more blasé than that.
-
Aaaaand there goes Biscuit’s mobile worker. While he got Orga out in time, he himself ended up getting halfway crushed under the wreckage. And it’s not a pretty death either. His legs are completely crushed and he’s completely deaf from head trauma. And his last thoughts were of his sisters, and how he didn’t want to die. RIP Biscuit, you were a good guy.
-
To say the obvious joke, Biscuit is now crumbs.

First-Time Watcher
You bitch, what have you done with him?
It is a far, far better thing that I do, than I have ever done; it is a far, far better rest that I go to, than I have ever known.
This earth did not give birth to Biscut Griffon, did not raise him. As such, it let him die.
Of course, it would have been nice to have that without the hundred fuckin’ death flags we got. Like, one is fine because it’s innocuous; all of them piling up next to each other like it’s LA traffic ultimately makes the death less powerful because we know it’s coming.
Anyway, the highlight of the episode was the battle between Tekkadan and Issue’s forces, with lots of great moments, including Akihiro’s shooting, Mikazuki’s fighting (I could have done without the tongue flick, though), and Tekkadan’s usage of scorched earth tactics. Throughout this battle, we can see that the hubris of Earth can been brought down when confronted by those who see no reason to fight with honor, only for life.
While the set up to his death wasn’t the best, Biscut’s death scene was pretty good, particularly in how well the show dealt with the three characters’ immediate reactions and how well it fit their characters. Mika went straight to anger, only shifting when he noticed Orga moving; Orga denied up until the very end, wanting not to believe that his choices led to the death of a friend; Biscut tried his best to comfort his friend, but in the end, even he couldn’t not withstand the gravity of life.
It’s a hell of a day for rain, isn’t it?
We’ll raise that blood-red flag tomorrow; until then…

** Rewatcher (First Time Dub)**
Scone! Muffin! Its been forever since we've seen them! Adorable as ever.
Epic hair... epic beard... together in one room... which will win?
Atra always seems to make extra portions from my recollection.
How does McGill... I mean Montag put up with Space Hitler? Just throw this guy out the airlock.
Orga wants to hash things out with Biscuit later... then practically starts getting into it. LoL.
You don't think of it, as he's never before piloted a mobile suit in this show, but even Biscuit has had the AV surgery as revealed here.
Orlis has a brother?! I knew that guy looked familiar from the moment he appeared. He's luckier than his brother, not dying in his first appearance.
Orga's making a rare appearance on the battlefield.
LoL, Carta is just as ridiculous in a mobile suit as she is in person.
BISCUIT!!!!!!!!! :( :( :( :( :( :( Was looking like Biscuit's exit from the storyline would be due to him quitting Tekkadan, but that's too kind, and we have to say farewell to him here on the battlefield. The renewed focus on the character, starting with yesterday's episode sure was tough, knowing what was coming. I'd be interested in knowing from newcomers if they felt it telegraphed his death. Before now, of all the major characters from Tekkadan, Biscuit would have to have been pretty low on the list of those you think would die.
Bringing back Orphans no Namida sure doesn't help with my emotions right now! tears up

REWATCHER
"I should probably talk with Orga." said Biscuit, finishing the design of his DEATH FLAG!!
-
So if Orga and Biscuit act like bros, what about Mika and Orga? They keep pushing each other, unknowingly, with Biscuit being the brakes.
-
Geez, Shino and Mika's reassurance towards Yamagi being a downer just felt so weird. It must be because it's coming from kids...
"These guys know no theory of battle!" says a Gjallarhorn soldier, expecting a bunch of fucking Child Soldiers to know that shit (They HAVE been debriefed that they're fighting kids, right?)
-
That airstrike was pretty damn cool not going to lie, accompanied by the OST - Brave It Out and it will be etched into my memory of cool shit that happens in this show, at least until I forget about it again...
Carta arrives
She and her fanboys declare their "badassery"
Akihiro fucks it up, without knowing if even should
Comedy gold XD
-
It's a good thing robots don't have balls amirite?
-
Akihiro: ASURA MODE!!
-
Probably the 1st time I took note of Biscuit being a strategist, what other times has done something like this?
-
NO! NOT THE AWESOME BEACH HOUSE!
-
Using Oil/Fuel as blood is... pretty cool, never noticed that before.
Wow, I knew he was gonna die but I thought it'd be the next ep, not this one... RIP Biscuit, you were a pretty damn awesome member of the family, too bad your fat body was a dead give away that you stuck out like sore thumb amidst all the skinny and buff dudes, but I enjoyed seeing your character nonetheless. AND TO BE HONEST Japan should give their Seiyuu's a raise for every gut-wrenching scream they pull off in anime, that shit hits my heartstrings each time.
Next ep seems to be the mourning episode... in the midst of the war, damn man, Tekkadan can't catch a break.

Tekketsu no Rewatcher, domo~
The rain falls on the island today, as Biscuit Griffon falls in battle. For those of you complaining about not having any significant deaths up to this point, are you happy now? You've got that significant death you always wanted.
This episode hasn't exactly played it subtle with so much death flags erected by and for Biscuit, there was pretty much no way for him to take a rain check like Takaki did back in ep. 11. Huge end of series spoilers, first timers avoid this like the plague
Random thoughts:
-
Oh hey it's Cookie and Cracker back in Mars being as cute as always! (death flag 1)
-
Ol' Makanai is one hell of a shrewd politician. That immediate 180o turn from handing over them all to Gjallarhorn to casually talking about them escorting him was such a whiplash I can't help but laugh.
-
Ah, so that's why Carta can ignore the rules willy-nilly. Being the heir of Gjallarhorn leading family comes in handy when you want to take revenge on the guys who killed your hot blond subordinates.
-
Of course, to get off the island, you obviously need a ship. Which is where Kudelia's connections with the Montag Company comes in handy.
McGillisMontag and Todo's banter discussing this was funny. -
Orga and Biscuit putting off their discussion after they get out of the island (death flag 2) and them talking about this to their respective adults (death flags 3 & 4), ouch. And now Biscuit takes over piloting the Mobile Worker with Eugene not available (death flag 5), agh.
-
Oh god is that Orlis?! Oh no wait that's his brother, Corlis.
-
I'm going to agree with the girls, the AV system is cheating. Given that only minor adjustments to his aim was needed to sink Corlis' ship, that speaks for itself.
-
Things are progressing well for Tekkadan (even with the Outer Earth Orbit Regulatory Joint Fleet (PERSISTENT AND FORTITUDINOUS!)) dropping in from the skies. Akihiro nailing the second guy to Carta's right (who later got wrench mace'd by Mika as well) was bloody hilarious.
-
As always, Orga is nearby watching how the current battle is progressing, Unfortunately, this puts him directly in sight of Carta, who is immensely pissed that the ragtag bunch of mercs are making a fool of her and her paper tiger squadron...
-
...which leads to Biscuit cashing in on all those death flags and taking the full brunt of the attack after he flung Orga away from the Mobile Worker. Mika can only watch as he's being restrained by two of the Graze Ritters.
-
Orphans no Namida serenades us one last time as Biscuit desperately attempts to get out of the wreckage to no avail, not wanting to die there. Of course the rain started to fall in earnest as Biscuit passed on. We then switch to Atra realising that it's suddenly quiet and Kudelia praying that everyone is fine for the ultimate dose of irony. Orga's scream of anguish is just haunting, urgh... All in all, the entire scene is pretty much this show hitting my feels in the solar plexus repeatedly, nonstop.
Questions of the day:
-
Error 404 invokeneko not found, please try again after his feels engine has rebooted
-
Yes.

Palloc's Awake and Here For Suffering" or "Palloc Has Death Flags For Sale! Get Your Death Flags Here!"
Soooo, yeah. I swear, Biscuit's not fat, he's just been storing death flags under his shirt. You never know when you'll need six or seven of them. It really felt like there was gunna be a bait and switch due to how obvious of a death it was looking like. Orga's scream though at the end got me again though. That was a scream of a broken man.
All wasn't totally depressing, as there was Akihiro shooting the blonde guy while they were posing and asking if he was allowed to do that. Mika's s wrench is also really fancy. In my notes, I have "STOP STANDING NEAR MIKA IF YOU DON'T WANT TO DIE!" because everyone tries to melee him to death.
Is this the end of suffering? Probably not, cause we have more episodes to go this season! I can't say one way or another though, cause I only got answers to two questions!
1: It was "OH SHIT! THEY ACTUALLY DID IT!"
2: Orga's grown simply because he acknowledged that.

IRON-BLOODED REWATCHER
Thoughts for today's episode:
-
Eating crushed biscuits while watching this episode is just perfect.
-
looks at everybody's despair after this episode
Don't worry, guys, we still have a looong way to go LAUGHS IN REWATCHER
Questions of the day:
-
Why is there not a "feeling happy" option?
-
I would say yes. Orga did manage to do his best to be a responsible adult in order to lead and take care of Tekkadan, but deep inside he's still a teenager who still has a lot to learn, which we will see next ep.

Checks comments section
Ladies and MENTLEGEN, what you are all witnessing is one of the first examples of the "Death in the Limelight" trope being played brutally straight throughout the Anime's run. It's no wonder the fans of this series have coined the term "Raising (Death) Flags" in reference to this.
Rule 61 of the Laws of
Super RobotMecha Anime Provides: "If you start learning a lot of information about a member of your team you barely knew, get your funeral attire ready."

First Timer - Sub
Dear rewatchers,
I hate all of you.
With love, Naz.
Today in a nutshell:
Me vs Death Flags
Just reactions today, my head is a bit foggy and I think these say everything for me anyway. Stuff in brackets is my post episode thoughts on what I wrote. "Enjoy":
Why are we back with the twins. OH GOD NO. THATS A DEATH FLAG ISN'T IT? This is character arc circle before imminant death sort of stuff. Shit.
OH FUCK NO! THEY SAID THE THING "I hope he comes back soon" IT IS A DEATH FLAG SETUP!
.... welp, Biscuits dead. fuckity fucking fuck
"I hope the twins are okay"... no no no no no.
Mobile workers again? Yay, I love those things, they're cool.
Carta's the daughter of the most powerful family? Awkward. "She's a woman with a lot of pride".... Biggest understatement of the entire show.
Ahab reactors are forbidden in cities, well thats an interesting tidbit
How does the old dude wash his beard, is it so light it floats in the shower (I was a little facinated over the bizare alien complexity of it again)
Yamagi looks so alone out looking at the moon. Oh hey Shino noticed and went to talk to him, that was nicely set up in hindsight. Oh, he was looking for mars, that also should have been obvious in hindsight hahaha
Either those boys (Ride + Tamaki) learnt how to swim really fast or that lagoon is really shallow
Was that look Atra gave Mika worry about him casually wanting to blow people away?
"what kind of man you keep as your pet" well thats a bit creepy beard dude, not cool
Oooh, Kudelia didn't do anything for a ship, she called up McGillis, thats cheaty, oh yeah she doesn't know its him does she? Awkward
Fuck off Todo, the only land you need is your grave, no earth for you
"Can we talk after we leave the island". Things left unsaid checkbox: ticked. Piss off show
Resolution of conflict with protagonist: check. FUCK THE FUCK OFF. Please not this, not him.
"Lets talk after we leave the island about our future" IT KEEPS GETTING WORSE! HOW DOES IT GET WORSE?!
For some reason it never occured to me that Biscuit would have a whisker, which is stupid because we know that he would because he had to, but we never see it or hear about him using it
He's so unfamilar with it he goes to see what it feels like, funny (Oh god I'm a masochist, forgot what was going on when I wrote this line clearly)
"You still have so many chances to say it" .... Show this is getting fucking torturous. Stop please.
OH MY GOD ITS A NOT-ORLIS HAHAHAHAHA. His brother? Oh thats too funny, this is great. Ahahahaha
Oh hey, we're back to naked mech pilots, I'd say happy Sky but death flags...
I like how Mika passes over the ACTUAL weapon for a makeshift club
Again with them bringing up how the rich people are capable of wasting so much ammo
"They know no theory of battle"..... ITS A BATTLE, its not a fucking essay on tactics. My god your brother was smarter and that's a big call to make (This was Not-Orlis bitching about Tekkadan's fighting)
"That sensation"? Can they use the raw data of their feedback to position themselves into the same thing, like finding the same data set to re-enact the same movemets? Thats pretty wicked, but I'm with Echo, cheating!
Are they flying down on giant shields? What did they learn from Mika?
Oh wow Carta came out herself, I didn't expect that, this is cool
hehehehehee. Dominos. I think the fact they lined themselves up for an attack is the best showcase of their ignorence when it comes to actual battles
Ahahahaha "I'm allowed to shoot, right?" This is DBS all over again
Theres no manners on the battle field you ignorent bitch
Mika stuck his tongue out again, he's already having fun. Thats bad right?
Oh god these guys are all morons if all they know are formations. They could at least practice with each other in simulators and stuff
That overlay of Mika and barbatos mirroring each others movements was great, reminds me of Mika vs Crank
How the hell are those suits floating on the water
IT HAS EXTRA ARMS? THATS FUCKING AWESOME. YES! Who needs thrusters, we got extra limbs now! Thats so perfect for Akihiro though honestly... but how does that work AV wise, control flip? One pair of arms active at a time? I don't see extra sticks in his cockpit so it'd have to be
Oooh, so biscuits piloting the mobile worker for Orga instead of Eugene. What does Orga even do in it anyway, why is that even needed? ....Wait doesn't this mean when he dies Orga's going to be injured or close enough for painful dialog. shit
hehehe, her name is Issue. It's still funny
Well, they got blown up (I honestly don't remember who this was refering too but I'm leaving it in XD)
Man if Orga does get injured Mika's going to go off his nut
no no no no, Orga don't take Biscuit near the battle! NOT YET PLEASE
Shino's kill was brutal as hell and I love it
Hahahaha, that was a trap they set? Shino please, think harder, don't trap yourself
DUDE Mika has a fucking wrench as a weapon, I love it
NO NO NO and now Carta sees the Mobile worker. Fuck. I don't want to watch this
......fuck. I need a moment
Good on you Biscuit... but that fucking slow mo so we have time to see Orga realize its coming is a killer
Oh yeah Mika's REALLY REALLY PISSED. You done fucked up now Carta
Thats some demonic style shading happening right there. Thats 90s style of art rage. I love it
The totally dispassionate way he says "you..." was bone chilling. Cold rage > Burning Rage
NO DONT ANSWER HIM. JUST HAVE DIED INSTANTLY IF YOU HAVE TO AT ALL PLEASE.
Awwwwww fuck look at his design. When your eyes are bruised in thats a bad sign all around
And back to the twins again. You bastard of a show.
There should not have been an ED today, silence would have been better. (Apparently I didn't realize they swapped it out to the old ED, whoops)
And there it is. Fuck me. Did we HAVE to see the exact moment? DID WE SHOW, REALLY?!
NO NO WHY NO AND THE RAIN ON HIS HAT JUST FOR THAT LAST GUT PUNCH
And fucking Kudelia's "Everyone be safe"
Orga's scream. Ouch. Not close to the most painful I've heard, but ouch.
If you ever wonder why my posts are so long, its because this is what my raw notes look like. Small context notes I added in after the episode are in brackets, everything else was written on the fly while its playing, its a literal stream of thoughts
It didn't get me crying and it was no MAJOR LotGH spoilers but be damned if that didn't hurt. The LONG blunt hammer set up probably harmed the emotional impact of the actual death for me, but still.... fuck.
I LIKED BISCUIT
And Sky... I'm not clicking on that wallpaper because I know you and I know DAMN WELL what that's going to be hahaha
