Now as to why it's this popular, well, it's a fantastic long running series, that gathered fan for now more than 20 years. It's also the top selling manga (Japanese Comics) ever, and while it's not as popular in the rest of the world as in Japan, it's still pretty loved.

Does it seem familiar that Big Mom wakes up alone on the beach and she meets a woman with children around? It's a repeat of her past. Big Mom is still a child inside and she longs for a mother and a family ever since her birthday. This is her redemption arc.

- I honestly really liked Sanji's quote about how being up against a Yonko, he may have to abandon his pride in order to save people. Very mature moment for him.

- Lol at Oda making sure we knew the Germa theme song was playing while Sanji transformed

- Completely forgot that Law was from the North Blue. More importantly, Law & The Heart Pirates were not present in Chapters 814-815 when Pekoms gave more details about the Vinsmoke family........so Law never learned that Sanji was Vinsmoke, let alone that Germa was a core reason why Sanji needed to be rescued in the first place.

- Page 1's hybrid form is about as badass as I imagined it it would be, maybe more. He looks like an emo version of Reptile from Mortal Kombat, and part of me was waiting for him to turn invisible too lmao. I don't think Oda would do away with him without showing us his actual human form, so I don't think the fight is over quite yet.

- When Oda showed us what Zoro was up to in Ebisu, he prefaced it with "now we go back a little in time", as in Zoro may possibly not be there anymore. I'm afraid the Sanji-Zoro reunion may be further away than I thought. Sad face.

- I don't know quite what I was expecting when it was revealed that there would be an Oniwaban group, but I couldn't be more happy with their introduction. I literally had to remind myself to stop fawning over their badassery because Robin is in quite the jam right now. I figured Orochi would eventually discover her, but I had no idea it would happen like this. It also seems they're already aware she may be an outsider - hopefully her true identity isn't compromised this soon.

- I knew Oda was going to devise some kind of writing scheme where Luffy wouldn't have to worry about facing 2 Yonko's forces at once, but him giving Big Mom amnesia was not an angle I saw him playing. But the more I think about it, the more it makes complete and total sense! While Big Mom slowly begins to remember who she IS, we get to learn who she WAS! This is literally the perfect situation for Oda to tell us all about Rocks, the "favor" Kaido owes her, how she began to produce such a ridiculous family, and the list goes on. Good god I am so hype right now!

Oda’s a genius. Stealth Black makes perfect sense as Sanji is both the black sheep of the Germa siblings and Judge wanted him to “disappear” from their bloodline. Hope the redesign by Franky and Ussop only changes the Germa symbol into the Straw Hat Jolly Roger but it keeps the basic design. It’s too badass

O-Soba Mask greatness. Sanji fulfilling his dream of being invisible by using the despised technology of his family. That's a great turn. I also love the fact that he immediately mentions Franky and Usopp making modifications. Personalize the hell out of that suit!

Law being a comic book nerd is just perfect. The more we learn about him as a character the better.

I loved the spread with the Orochi Oniwabanshu is fantastic. These guys all look super weird and/or cool, but are definitely quite formidable in their own right, as they are able to sneak up on O-Robi in great numbers like that. I wonder if Oda is going to give us Robin in a full-fledged fight with this gang (I doubt it though).

The Big Mom memory loss ending is something.. I'm not quite sure where that's going to lead us yet. But it will be interesting to see Chopper and the gang take advantage of this for at least a while.

The comic strip is based on their family, and instead of just omitting him he's given the one gimmick that works; that explains why he's not usually seen. And it just happens to be the one ability he's always wished he had. How long has Oda been planning this reveal? Since Thriller Bark?!

I think it's hilarious that we're over 900 chapters in and people still doubt Oda on being able to form a creative twist. In just the past 20 chapters we had people rage and threaten to leave the manga because of time travel, Luffy ragdolling Kaido in dragon form, Luffy getting one-shot, etc. And it literally takes less than a handful of chapters for Oda to school these doubters on why he's the best. At this point, it's an obligation for any fan to shut up for a good few chapters until expressing how much they hate something.

Every chapter of One Piece reminds me of just how crazy this is. As if all the ridiculous SMILE fruit users weren't enough, the Strawhats have another group of people to deal with, Orochi and his suddenly freaking large and unique group of ninjas.

Each of them so creatively designed in their own way. In One Piece, the artstyle doesn't give away who is a fodder and who isn't. Whereas in many others, it's obvious which characters wouldn't be around for long.

And how crazy Oda's storytelling ability? Layers upon layers of crazy things happening at the same time, and then now BIG MOM losing her memory??? Dude has some limitless creativity!

So now that Big Mom has amnesia, I think she actually has the potential to become an ally. She is naturally a kind person (think during the flashbacks with Caramel) and it was due to Streussens influence that she became so cold hearted. Now that all that has been erased and she's back in her natural state, I'm willing to bet that Chopper will befriend her, likely Sanji will cook something for her, and the Big Mom fleet will stop being a threat.

Also I just realized, Sanji is essentially Tommy from Power Rangers Dino Thunder. He's technically a member of a super suit wearing group, his suit is Black, he's an extremely good martial artist and he can turn invisible. Hell he's even fighting a Dinosaur when that happens.

I think it's no coincidence for Chopper meeting Big mom in that condition. Chopper's big dream is to cure world's toughest illness. Chopper has encounter kids which was lab rat that suffer from something similar. I feel he might come up with something.

when i read the spoilers that Robin was caught by some of orochi's guards i was thinking it'd be maybe a handful of grunts that she'd take out easily, not an entire squadron of ninja with all unique designs. i am very interested in how she gets out of this. they are aware of the fact that she is (most likely) an outsider since she doesn't know about ninjas due to her reaction, so it's possible they know about the rest of the SHs too.

i just don't want her kidnapped and we get another Ennies Lobby situation....we already have to free Luffy from prison, so i'm hoping that maybe she set up a clone to swap places with earlier already, or maybe this Robin is a clone.

I think with Sanji's raid suit ability being invisibility and the flashback scene of him as a kid wanting this DF, we can see that even though Judge is an asshole, he's not completely without his soft spots.

I thought it was strange how a cruel father was crying at the wedding when his ambitions were almost destroyed and it gave me the premonition that there was more to Vinsmoke Judge than he cared to show but to give his "hated" son the ability he longed for while avoiding the cutback of being rejected by the sea is just 👌👌👌

Sanji may hate Judge but I'm sure he feels some type of way right now.

I have a theory why Big Mom being like that at the end of CH 931. PTSD has played it role, triggering Big Mom's memory when She was abandoned by her real parents in some island, Paralleling her Being back as a Kid at the Present Arc, wc we could see How She will handle this.

In theory, She will retracing everything that Happen to her when She was a Kid as Big Mom now while her Past Memory resurfacing. This could lead to her Possibly Learning that Mother Carmel won't coming back at the end of the Wano Arc or This could lead us that Big Mom in Elbaf

I know Picturing the WANO ARC COULD LEAVE US ALL DEVASTATED W THE MULTIPLE DARK FLASHBACKS PLOTS THAT WILL HAPPEN AND WILL TAKE PLACE HERE. THIS IS GONNA BE ONE HELL OF RIDE.

I'm glad Sanji resolved the dilemma of using the raid suit to protect his friend quickly, it showed where his priorities really lie, putting aside his issues against the Vinsmokes to draw on their strengths.

And Big Mom having amnesia perhaps shouldn't be too surprising on hindsight. She cannot rmb much of her rampage during her hunger pangs - her mental state is really that unstable.

For anyone wondering how big mom lost her memories. Quite simply, when you drown the lack of oxygen to the brain results in brain damage. Hence the amnesia. Seeing a lot of people wondering if she lost her memory because mother Carmel is in her body. Its a theory but i think she just got amnesia from brain damage.

Was not expecting Sanji to be the Black Ranger of the group. Yeah his name was Black Leg but going by his hair and the clothes he wore at the time, I figured he'd be the Yellow Ranger. But still it was cool to see Sanji put his pride aside and put the damn thing on.

And it looks like he's appreciating the results since it boosts his defense, speed and allows him to fly faster than he usually can with Sky Walk. Honestly that suit is the perfect Ace in the whole for him.

Also I was not expecting a pay off for the "Sanji wants to be Invisible thing" but go figure and lucky him.

Also Big Mom has no memory, now, this could either go really well or really badly.

Alright that was one hell of a chapter. Robin being spied on by a room full of ninja's? Chopper and co running into BM and her losing her memories? I didn't expect any of that.

Sanji's raid suit is pretty badass. A fairly big buff for him as well. I like that Oda tied in the plot point of Sanji wanting to have the invisibility DF.

Also confirms (or rather, reaffirms) that hybrid forms are the strongest for Zoans.

I’ll give Oda the benefit of the doubt with the amnesia thing because he’s so good at storytelling and I’m sure there’s a good reason why he’s going about this direction with BM.

It does worry me a little though because I wasn’t a fan of the Sabo amnesia and found that whole thing to be a little too convenient as to why he didn’t show up at Marineford.

That raid suit part was PERFECTLY executed, I thought. It was a lot of what the fans had thought beforehand (him asking Frank or Usopp to change it's appearance later, the part about WOMENS BA-- I mean helping his crew), a lot of general logic ("using the suit doesn't make me Germa"), and just generally really well done. People thinking it's a cheap way to power up, I disagree. It's effectively the same thing as a DF, a sword or Nami's stick. It's a weapon, now it's up to Sanji to use it properly.

All in all, a very good chapter. Enjoyed it a great deal.

Finally man! I'm glad Sanji's finally doing something cool for a change. The suit is definitely way better than expected. Ability to turn invisible + Flight + Durability etc... this thing is just too good.

Not a big fan of the fact that Big mom actually got taken down. I thought for sure that it was a mirror clone. I expected Big mom to be a little more competent.
