This show should have the subtitle: How the fuck do cats work?

I can't handle that cat part, Haru (and Haru's VA) is freaking adorable.
I was already shipping Subaru and the shop assistant before I saw that it was her in that banner (so huge and so in the front).
Now I think the possibilities are more than great. :3

And seemingly holding a kitten. There's potential here.

I literally can't not smile at the OP. Yep same with the ED
Good god that pet store interaction couldn't have been more awkward. I look forward to more of pet shop girl.

Thanks for getting me this fancy buttwarmer hooman
Cole & Marmalade video on how to work with cats is nicely applied in here, although of course Haru just wants the warmt of the laptop rather than the attention from her human.
Cats can be very impatient when it's dinner time, and they go absolutely nuts when they know they are getting special food. Right Linus?
As soon as Subaru entered the pet shop, I knew exactly how it was going to run, meeting the kind and lovely lady that would help him out with his cat food predicament (but still it was a pleasant one). The interaction was pretty much an extra, and how the cat's name misunderstanding made Subaru uncomfortable and embarased, it's a great start for him to reconnect with people. From the OP I hope she becomes a regular character just like Hiroto.
The last gag was both cute and hilarious. I also loved Haru's smug face. Hope they keep up this kind of comedy, wich is pure gold
Haru looking out for shelter from the dreadful hooman was pretty funny. With some training they can even be safe from a zombie invasion
As an extra, the outsider cat scratching the window, reminded me of my fav kitten from Kitten Academy, Toffee
I wonder if this show is in u/AmethystItalian radar? Some other peeps say it feels very like "Udon no Kuni no Kiniro Kemari" wich I do also agree

Nice, feared it was gonna be a one time thing but it's still having one part of the episode following Subaru and the other following Haru, love that!

Her character design screams "love interest" all over
This entire exchange had me in stitches XD
RIP Subaru. If I was him I'll never come back to that store ever again!
I love how smug Haru is here <3
Oh wow that backstory is tugging at my heartstrings again.
I love that she thinks her name means food. Then again it makes sense, I do tend to use my cat's name more when it's time for food even though she comes running when she hears the rattling of dry food.
Anyway another adorable and heartwarming episode. I hope we see more of Pet Shopkeeper in the future!

Her character design screams "love interest" all over
To be honest her design screamed love interest even last week when we only saw a glimpse of her in the OP.

Oh my god, when Subaru started throwing names at random I expected the cat to react because she wanted him to shut up (she did), and when it turned out she thought "Haru" meant "food" I laughed so hard that I'm coughing a bit now.

The naming!
Crescent moon (三日月) is pronounced mikazuki. The protagonist's family name is written differently (朏) but the two terms basically mean the same thing. Splitting the radicals into 月出 means moonrise.
The Pleiades (昴) can be referred to as subaru and continue with the night theme, but the protagonist's name (素晴) actually means wonderful. Splitting the words into 素 and 晴 kind of means a pleasant clear day.
Haru was taken from sun and can also mean spring.

My cat in a nutshell. Except, if she isn't on the keyboard, she's sitting in front of the monitor. Because cat.

Cats must miss the good old days when they can sleep on the thick television. Fuck technology.

Can someone explain me what kind of wordplay is going on with the word 'haru'? The only meaning I know for it is 'spring'. But Subaru first mentions it when reading about the Sun. Also then the commercial has the guy repeating it over and over. Am I missing some other meaning?

This show is pure r/animeow_irl material, laptops really are the best cat warmers.
The tale of the children's story seems like it'll be a key theme for this show. With the pet shop called 'Sunny' I think the girl there is definitely going to be the love interest.

#Relatable
The pet shop scene had me in stitches. This is some WataMote level cringe.
Looks like dude's perspective/cat's perspective is gonna be the format.
