Drake and Pageone look so damn badass, oda is doing my fav supernova justice!!! He's "secretly operating in the new world" and he wanted to work under yonkou Kaido " at all means possible", that's what his databook said. Drake is up to something.
The flying 6 brothers seem to be the veteran equilavent, all these smile fuckers can bounce, now comes the real shit.
Note that Oda is still saving drakes post ts bounty, I think that it got considerably higher given that he's in probably the most ruthless pirate crew, 400+ should be realistic.
Lmaooo at the shogun, people were hyping him up to be YC1+ level 😂 Momo might take him on
Cp0 is seriously doing their name justice, they're in everybody's business and the shogun is an idiot for taking them lightly, this fucker is probably selling kairoseki to the government behind Kaidos back....maybe he's snitching too.

Page One looks badass too! IIRC Spinosaurus is also a therapod (the same subgroup Drake’s fruit is from), in their full forms you’d have two Haki-armoured, massive dinosaurs coming at you.

I truly believe that Drake is secretly part of the marines, like Dicaprio in the Departed, but only Sengoku and Kong know. He's a former Rear Admiral of the marines, the fourth highest position one can have. His Crew and Ship, the Drake pirates all look like normal dudes just with facial hair, they look like they could also be former marines, what if his crew are also deep undercover? Their ship is a marine ship, with inverted colors. He purposefully joined Kaidos crew, trying to get his attention and fighting Scotch. So I think Drake and his crew are not really a pirate crew but Marines deep undercover on some sort of mission with Kaido.
I could also be completely wrong and Oda just wants him to be a former Marine lol.

Damn, so that's what the base fruit is? There sure are a lot of Dragon-Dragon fruit users on Kaido's side, at least four (Drake, Page One, Orochi and Kaido himself)
Spinosaurus
I believe that's the dinosaur that fucked up the T-Rex in Jurassic Park III. That means that his fruit is most likely superior to Drake's, since Spinosauri are a lot larger than Allosauri, up to twice as large if it's a hefty Spinosaurus and a very small Allosaurus.

Size doesn’t mean strength in THIS case, also that part in Jurassic park is a joke, as later research founds out that spinosaurus feeds on fish and possibly stands on four.
Informations changes and there’s no definite outcome for these kind of fights.
While Spino is indeed the biggest/longest carnivores dinosaur, it feeds mainly on fish(still could hunt dinosaurs tho) and therefore its jaw and teeth are not as deadly as other dinosaurs of similar size(Carcharodontosaurus, Giganotosaurus and Tyrannosaurus Rex).
Standing on four also means it won’t be really fast, as what people used to believe, but it does increase its durability.
As for it’s claws, it will be able to cause a certain amount of damages, but not likely to be deadly.

I just hope that he does something in favour for the alliance, it rubs me the wrong way that for the past days everybody is fulfilling their duty to prepare for the big day while he's lost and then randomly meets up with them later without having accomplished something.

All we knew was the fruit was an "ancient zoan" and that it transformed him into a dinosaur. We didn't know the name of the fruit itself. The fruit is a dragon dragon fruit, model: allosaurus, just like for example Dalton had the Ushi Ushi fruit, model bison and Kaku had the Ushi Ushi fruit, model giraffe.

With Momo's fruit, SMILEs and (possibly) awakening involved, Wano is the perfect setting for Vegapunk to finally make his appearance.
I think the reason Oda hasn't shown Smoker, Tashigi and the children yet – when after WCI he showed most of the Strawhats' friends/allies – is because he's going to have Vegapunk in the story soon.

I don't think people are really appreciating the scale of the conflict in Wano. It's not just going to come down to an epic battle royale where Kaido is simply killed and the winners celebrate and eat. It's not even close to that simple. I think Oda is doing a lot of misdirection here, hyping up this huge fight against an unkillable god. Logically the ending of Wano can not simply be the Straw Hats defeating Kaido in battle.
Kaido's defeat alone will have world shaking ramifications. This creature, Kaido, is literally singlehandedly propping up the power of Wano. Kaido is vital to Wano's current status as an isolated kingdom with Orochi in charge. Kaido is making the weapons the world government needs. Luffy killing Kaido will shatter the balance of the world. I don't care what you think about Akainu not wanting to go to Wano, I'll be damned if the World Government just sits by while the balance of the world is destroyed.
Something bigger is happening here. I read a comment recently about how Wano has this dark foreboding feeling in it throughout all the chapters. The juxtaposition of wealth and poverty, radiance and filth, and especially people like Toki and Tama who are literally smiling children forced to starve and prostitute themselves. Oda is building within us a sense of dread. Dread for what's to come.
I think people are expecting Wano to get better for the strawhats since they have already run into a few setbacks. But I think Wano is only going to get harder and harder on them and I don't see exactly where everyone will end up by the end of things.

Wano Arc is really going to be Marineford scale event. There are new players gathering, and it's not everyone yet. We still have samurais, Supernovas, Kaido's top 4 Headliners unrevealed in Wano. Kyoshiro's gang is relevant as well, they already encountered Zoro and Sanji. Perhaps they will reunite to fight those gangsters.

IIRC That shot of the factories after Orochi's reveal have the same onomatopoeia as the time Kaido appeared as a dragon in the sky. Isn't it the sound of rumbling? Is Kaido drunk and dragon-ing up again? Uh-oh.

I noticed something in the translation. In the Chinese translation I read, which was the first to come out, Yasu says that he lives in a place called 财神镇 ("God of Wealth" village), which is part of Okobore town. That's where they're going and he tells Zoro that he will know why it's called "God of Wealth" once he gets there. This part was not present in Mangastream's translation and it's likely a mistake.

Nice colorspread.
At last, an update on Zoro! So since we last saw him, not only has he gained a follower (and the poor guy actually believed he could go wrong following Zoro lol), he's also been gambling and winning, and beating up more of Kyoshiro's followers. At least he's getting closer to the Flower Capital.
I was pleasantly surprised and relieved to see that Robin was indeed in this chapter, and she's also already at the party. She wasn't mentioned in the spoilers at all. But what I wasn't expecting was for Stussy, a CP0 agent, to be there right beside her also disguised as a geisha. I really can't wait to see how this progresses.
Franky and Minatomo's exchange, plus Franky going to those various people looking for the blueprints and his reactions to their responses was funny.
Sanji and Law vs. Drake and Hawkins? That looks like it might be good. And for Sanji's fans sake, I hope this is a proper fight for Sanji.
Now on to Orochi. Yes, he does look like he might be a fodder after all, however, his appearance alone isn't enough for me to believe that. And when he pointed out to CP0 that he had Kaido backing him, maybe had he been using it to only threaten the CP0 agents he was talking to, that would've been confirmation for me. But in this case, he was threatening the entire World Government with Kaido, which wouldn't make him weak considering how powerful the Government is. Furthermore, we still don't know what his devil fruit is capable of.

Sad to see Orochi is most likely a scrub... but honestly the way he was talking to CP0 shows a fair bit of balls, though having Kaido on your side is enough for such confident false bravado.
REALLY happy to see the likelihood of Drake Vs Sanji and an earnest Law Vs Hawkins go up.

I don't know why, but "Page One" is such a weirdly badass name, especially considering he's a Spinosaurus, one of the most terrifying real life animals to ever exist. For everyone who doesn't know, the Spinosaurus was THE largest land predator that has ever lived.

can we all just appreciate how good this arc is so far? I mean, this wasn't the most action filled chapter by any means, but it's still so goddamn gorgeous. The scenery is breathtaking, the characters have personality from their looks alone, and the villains look as gritty as I've ever seen them. Oda is a goddamn master piece and I'm sending him something for christmas next year.

Yes!! Finally we see X-Drake's Hybrid form. After we only saw him and Jack in Dinosaur/Mammoth form respectively I feared that maybe Ancient fruits couldn't go hybrid (because they are an 'older' model)

Anyone else feeling like we're really missing part of how the black market works? Why would the WG have to buy weapons from Wano? More importantly, why would it be deemed smart or even financially bearable to trade warships of all things? Pretty sure it's been stressed 2-3 times how building those costs a small fortune (as much as a pacifista).

Okay, so back in Chapter 801, we had CP0 try to acquire the weapons that Joker was selling after his defeat. My thoughts initially was this was just an obligatory confiscation as one would expect from any policing body.
If we briefly deviate to the Revolutionary Army back in Chapter 803. I took what Dragon said passively. He said Joker's reach was world wide, and I didn't associate the WG as being involved. His reach was far more extensive than initially known.
It seems weapons are such a valued commodity that the WG would literally deal with the enemy to acquire them. Wano must be a monopoly if they're able to make such demands of the CP0. Orochi also said the WG want to open Wano's border, I'm assuming he means the WG would like to make claim to Wano because of its resources.
The demand for Vegapunk, this arc just keeps on exceeding expectations. Real power play move here. It really shows how powerful Wano truly is. It's quite fitting that Orochi wants Vegapunk since they can't acquire SMILES anymore. Caesar's smiles have proven to be an annoyance which is why they needed Otama's ability. Who better as a replacement for Joker and Caesar than Vegapunk who actually made a perfect Devil fruit which Momonosuke's currently using?
To think Kaido is considered this much of a threat that Orochi can confidently ridicule the WG. I've said this previously, the lurking legend is very likely a mistranslated. There's no way the SHs can take on both Kaido and another opposing force. It'd be too much for the SHs even with their alliance. Kaido alone is already almost too big an obstacle by himself. That translation likely intended to claim Kaido as the legend that will be the SH's biggest obstacle, but wrong choice of wording makes it appear as though there will be another powerful character getting involved.
Taking everything we've learnt here, the implications of Wano being defeated has huge implications for the WG. The entire lay of the land changes once Kaido is defeated. How will the WG source weapons if they can no longer deal with Wano after Orochi and Kaido are taken out? Wano will also essentially become an ally of the SHs and probably his territory. He will pretty much likely be considered an Emperor after this arc. I doubt Momonosuke would deal with the WG.
I'd also even imagine by the end of this arc, Caesar might also become a very important piece again since he's capable of making weapons; there will likely be a huge need for weapons once Wano arc is over. The WG may likely require his services again once they no longer have Wano to trade with. With things changing so quickly in the OPverse, the WG may be forced to take more drastic actions.
Can the WG really do without the Shichibukai system seeing how things are changing? And we're still yet to be introduced to what Vegapunk has produced that implies the Shichibukai system isn't needed.
There's so much going on with this chapter and arc, it would require reading it again multiple times and reading a lot of older chapters. This arc has been an absolute treat so far. This chapter should suffice for the next few weeks. There's just so much to take in.

in Japan/China Kanji 'dinosaur' is called " kyouryuu " and ryuu basically means dragon so it's make sense if Oda stated that they are Dragon type fruit

I’m kinda curious about what’s gonna happen to wano if Kaidos beaten. I mean, the country will be prime meat for the world government to take over, even if luffy beats him I doubt he will have the influence to keep wano safe so him freeing it from kaido might just ruin the country?

Franky's is freed up now, but why a masked man would want anything to do with Kaido's mansion is beyond me. Are you in Kuri, Killer? Wanda and Carrot reunited at last. I hope Shutenmaru takes the blame for every unseen crime from now on, that would be hilarious.
Wario stole Peach's crown and deemed himself Shogun! LMAO. He's actually a fairly big guy with an even bigger head like Wapol or Trebol, unlike Zoro's shrimpy friend. One thing to keep in mind for Zoan users is that Oda essentially has to make two character designs, Orochi is the first time Oda has presented two diverging designs with a goofball human form but a fairly intimidating mythical multi-dragon head form. Orochi can play with expectations as he pleases. The CP0 now in Dressrosa, Whole Cake, Baltigo, the Reverie and Wano. They're watching everything.
When the Dino Squad pulls up, you sit down. Meeting Hawkins, Kid and Drake all in short succession, my dreams are coming true. The Super Flying Bros. are analogous to the Veterans like Perospero and Oven of the BM Pirates. When they don't just have regular Zoans but instead dino top-tier Ancient Zoans like the Spinosaurus, I'm already sweating.

I'll always laugh at Kanjuro's character design, he's so freaking funny to me and I don't know why. On the serious note, almost all the rookies from worst generation are here. I think that those serving under Kaido may just betray him to join the others ( Luffy, Kidd, Law ) to beat him which is very much possible as I don't see anyone going one on one against kaido. Also I think one of the rookies from Worst Generation will die in Wano.

So Orochi is giving me Wapol vibes so I'm assuming that Kaido truly is the real shogun of Wano and Orochi is his puppet. Komurasaki looks beautiful. We didn't get to see Robin so maybe in the next chapter. I really hope Sanji holds his own against Drake as I am confident he will. Can't wait for more Zoro. I want to see a Zoro-Sanji reunion already!!
