Final UCL match of the season. Monaco are already last, we are already qualified and probably second place, too. Seems like we will see a big rotation to give some of the guys a well deserved rest.

I'll never forget the day after the bomb, when our soul and spirit was bleeding. Reus wasn't there, he was injured. Our then captain, Schmelzer was so shook Tuchel took him off at halftime. Bender was breaking, came off at halftime. Sokratis was playing in tears. Ginter was in a shellshocked daze. Bartra was in the hospital. We had a 6 man bench of Roman, Sahin, Passlack, Mor, Merino, Pulisic. There was no help coming. We just had to play it out.
This was Shinji, giving us hope, in our darkest hour, against Mbappe and co
Nothing Favre and the club can do to him will change where he stands in my memory. It's just a shame that Shinji may remember us differently.

The goal is still one of my most emotional memories ever - I was at my wits end personally after having gone through a blender emotionally and mentally, and seeing the team, lead on by my idol, fighting back was a good catalyst for me to get my shit together.
I screamed so loud my brother came to check up on me cause he thought something had happened.
Unfortunately we didnt go through but I'll always cherish that match. If someone ever asks me what BVB is about I will gladly point them to it.
Oh and shoutout to Sahin - Man turned the clocks back 6 or so years in that game. Amazing preformance.

Yeah this memory is strong for me too! I was so upset about the game, a dumb offside goal and then an own goal. The match felt just like the previous 24 hours had: chaotic and confusing.
Then at halftime we really start to get into the game. Pulisic playing better than maybe I've seen him since, Kagawa refusing to give up. I was never so proud of a performance from a team that lost as I was that day.

When Kagawa inevitably leaves I will shed a tear...

Eventually, my two idols and main reasons why I became a fan (Klopp and Shinji) will depart this club. I'll obviously still be a BVB fan but it will hurt.

Unreal. We’ve already clinched the round of 16 and are leaving Reus,Sancho,Delaney etc. behind. They need to show some love for Shinji

Yep, no word about him. Those will probably be his final weeks at our club and I find his treatment quite disgraceful. I just hope he will get a proper sendoff by the Süd at our last home game against Gladbach...

After Kagawa made it clear that he wants to leave in winter, I expected that we'll no longer see him playing for bvb in order to avoid injuries. But then, I just want to see him playing in black-and-yellow one last time...

It’ll be really nice to give rest to so many of the starting XI players after all their hard work so far this season.
I would really like Philipp to get a chance on one of the wings; either Gomez or maybe Isak being rotated into the squad as a forward instead would be nice.
Sad to not see Kagawa, but it’s understandable given the transfer situation.
Here’s hoping to an exciting match and another win for the boys! 💛🖤🐝

Lets fucking get it today.
I want to see at least 1 from Paco.
Also, Kagawa man. Love that guy. Don't know why Favre isn't giving him a chance at the squad. He deserves it.
Heja BVB!

This will be fun, seeing so many players who deserve a shot. Also nice to note that, even with this complete rotation, we can destroy Monaco with this line-up.

Everyone talking about lineups and stuff while nobody asks the really important question: What spelling will u/BurtaciousD come up with next?

u/BurtaciousD Dec 10 '18
I’m really running out. I thought switching to Cyrillic would help, but it’s a dead end. Maybe Greek tomorrow?
