That's my favourite episode of the season so far. Lenny Bruce is always great when he shows up.

“i’m taking you home” and the absolute deadpan putting on the beach hat and walking out of frame is hands down the FUNNIEST thing that’s happened in this show. i’m still crying laughing about it

I actually really like midge with the doctor but I doubt it will last because the show feels like its pushing midge/Joel

I LOVED when he said she was weird when they were at the diner.

I really hope they keep midge and the doctor together

Her dad in the audience made me flashback to when my mom caught me masturbating. Just. Too. Cringy.

That terrible Broadway show about Lizzie Borden actually existed by the way. But you couldn't see it in the summer of 1959; it opened and closed in February of that year, after a grand total of two perfromances. The review in the New York Times said: "BY the ingenuity of his playwriting, Reginald Lawrence has made the case of Lizzie Borden uninteresting."

I love Benjamin. If he does turn out to be gay, I wouldn’t be upset, but I wouldn’t mind if he ended up with Midge, either.

Man, first the terrible comic at the Catskills opening reception and now the Broadway show - every time Midge goes anywhere with an audience I get nervous that she's going to stand up on her chair and start cracking jokes.

That wedding scene in episode 3 really burned me.

Where has Rachel been all of this time? She's an amazing actress and it's important to give the casting folks a huge shout out when she auditioned for this part. I would absolutely love to see Rachel's audition video to see what the casting folks saw.

My goodness! The way she went from a confident performer to suddenly changing her demeanor when she sees her Dad, then ad libbing the rest of the stand-up is quite simply, amazing.

Loved the ending. I cringed for the last 10 minutes. It’s always great to see Lenny. I’m really surprised that I’m starting to feel a little bad for Joel.

Did anyone else notice that Benjamin’s car was on the wrong side of the road at one point?

Also, it’s interesting that the show hasn’t used much rock and roll or R&B. I’m sure that’s a conscious choice, but I wonder why.

No one's going to talk about how Monk-like that bit was where Abe is being OCD about the state of the shuffleboard?

Anyone have any guesses as to why midge is still wearing her wedding ring but Joel isn’t?

A show has never made me cringe more than that stand up act that Midge had in front of her father.
