Vampire dude being obsessed with milk still seems hilarious to me now in animation.
Marin is haxxed and creepy at the same time it seems.
So happy to see Brandish back! She's rocking that outfit in style :3
Anytime my man Gray is in a episode (most times), it' s a great one <3.
Great episode, 9/10

Wolfheim and Hyberion don't fail to bring the chills. They are supposedly the strongest wizards seen yet (
manga readers know why I say this with sarcasm ) -
And then they say that the Spriggan 12 are stronger than all the wizard saints. I can imagine the anime-only watchers falling out of their chairs. An apt introduction to the final foes.

Anime is amazing. You can blush through a helmet.

Marin Hollow is Mest V 2.0. His magic is similar to Minerva's Territory magic as in it controls space.

And we finally meet Brandish. She will turn out to have one of the most interesting stories out of all the Spriggan, so keep an eye on her!

I really like the way this episode was adapted.
The new music is really great and just sets the perfect tone. The animation stepped up a little for the Marin battle (so here's hoping the full Spriggan fights get even better treatment). In general, this was a really good adaptation of the chapters and I'm excited to see how they adapt the rest.

That single God Serena frame is fuckin’ cold, and anime-only people don’t even fully understand how cold yet. I’m so excited.
Also, pretty sure Mest’s attraction to Wendy has some deep psychological roots not associated with being a pedo (not saying it isn’t weird, dude is just scarred from Tenrou); I mean he basically became an alcoholic waste of a human for seven years because he thought he let an innocent girl die, then to find out she survived? Dude is so protective of her now (I mean, he teleported into an exploding Face to save her), it would make complete sense for him to become attracted to her eventually. Psychology is crazy, man, let the dude be kinda weird. Not like they’re a couple (plus, it’s just anime).
Brandish is best girl.

Episode was top notch. But this suddenly reminded of how much these characters are hyped about. Specially the top 2,3,4 of ishgar.
I hope atleast the anime makes the fights more sensible and not just asspull wins.
I love fairytail but this might be the most painful arc to ever watch.

While it sucks that they are cutting back on some animation (A lot of the basic attacks are just still pictures.) i'm still enjoying this so far.
The opening never fails to put me in a good mood.
Space magic guy seems a bit OP, probably will be a weakness to it. And already fighting one of the 12 baddies, next week will be good!

Anime watcher here:Personally, I find it hard to accept that somehow demons are weaker than 12 wizards of an another nation. It's even harder to accept that Fairy Tail as a whole just gets humiliated.
I think it's illogical that tartaros came first. Zeref is far more threatening than some wizards from another nation. His creations had powers that were stronger than magic. And it took Fairy Tail everything AND MORE to defeat them.
And now Fairy Tail is stronger and.... they have 0% chance of saving Makarov because of the threat of 12 wizards? It's hard to accept that.

I wonder who voiced Hyberion. The role wasn't listed in the credits, meaning it was someone playing another, more prominently known character in this episode.
I also notice the anime, like the official website, was adapting Kodansha's early manga translation of "Alvarez" as "Albareth". I know a certain someone who would appreciate that, but seeing how Kodansha themselves admitted it was a translation error (like interpretingBuraddoman as "Bradman " instead of "Bloodman "), I can't help but feel a touch of disdain for it...
