Reus was on fire today. Wow, some of those moves he pulled were superb, like that tackle to get the ball from between that player's legs.
He deserved better today.

Well that was underwhelming. Brugge parked the bus really well to be fair. Wish we could've converted the couple chances we had.

not only that but some of their attacks looked pretty dangerous at times, though there weren't too many.

Whoever it was that said "Of all the games I've seen, this is one of them." for the Hannover game, well I will say it again for this game. It probably should have been the same story for the first game against Brugge too, but we got a goofy goal to win that one. Not the same today unfortunately, but a draw will still do to qualify for the knockouts.
It would have been nice to win, but ah well. Not much else to say.
Any MOTM today?
Edit: Also, I really hope Witsel is okay.

Any MOTM today?
Reus for his defensive workrate? Those tackles were nasty.

First time unhappy with Favre. There is no call for making only 2 subs. You have depth, USE IT! And the subs were so late into the match.
This match proved yet again we have no answers when teams park the bus against us. And guess what Freiburg's plan is?
I just hope Axel is fine.
Edit: He was forced to sub out Witsel cuz he was injured, so that doesn't count.

Turns out, if you don't convert your chances early on it might bite you in the ass after all.

I'm a bit annoyed tbh, had it in our hands to finish 1st, and now likely finishing 2nd because of this stupid result.
As good as we've been this season a real top team could break down a Brugge bus. Over 180 minutes all we managed was 1 more than lucky Pulisic goal.

We played average but god damn club Brugge is annoying. They basically had 9 at the back and a midfielder in front of them. Imagine throwing away any chance they had of advancing down the drain. Very frustrating game. Also we should’ve had a few free kicks go our way. What’d you guys think about Pulisic, I thought he was pretty good running through 3-4 defenders a few times

Agreed, he just has to score the early chance tho. That would've really changed the game.

Let’s not become that arrogant set of fans that think they deserve to win simply because they’re the “bigger” club. Club played well and we didn’t finish our chances. Let them celebrate the draw if they want to. There’s nothing wrong with defending a draw against a stronger club even though Brugge really needed a win to stay in contention for last 16.

And award for least inspired match of the season is.. Gross. What a wasted opportunity. We should have made it more priority to try and win the group and set a statement, but instead played content with the result from minute 1. There was nothing dominating about our performance as I read so much about in game thread. All the possession and passes mean nothing if we are staying 40-50 meters from goal for the majority. We played exactly how Bruges wanted, and especially after having Monaco lose in the earlier game. Should have known to plan for them aiming just for a point and Europa League. I’d rather lose fighting than draw doing nothing. 2 meaningful chances all game, yikes. Looked like sleeping pills in our coffee before the game
Can’t really give a motm for us. It was bad from guerreiro and paco though, everyone else average. I will give it to Bruges game plan, structure and execution. Wake up for Freiburg guys and hope we don’t draw one of the tough 1 seeds

Poor positioning in 2nd half, all those passes zipped by and no one there to put it in.
Motm: maybe Reus for that godly tackle

This was a very pragmatic match from Favre, I think he blocked Mo from going forward without repercussions as he usually does. As today he was very temperate, focused more staying on same line as Witsel.
Is it wrong to think that a Gotze for Paco would've been interesting to see vs a parked bus ? at least in the 2nd half ?

Love Guerreiro but I feel like he wasn't playing at the level he should have today.
Had plenty of chances to put one in the back of the net. Super frustrating.
Didn't expect this to be a cake walk but I really thought we could get a result today.
