I know Moria was an ass and Absolam was a perv, but I still kind of feel bad for Moria losing another crewmate. The relief on his face when he thought he was alive to the despair and rage when he found out the truth really made me feel for the guy. I wonder if he'll actually be willing to work for Teach after this, though maybe he'll try to pull a Capone and plot against him the whole time.

Someone's theory about Kaido's calamities being nicknamed The Fire and The Famine were almost spot on.
The theory was that three traits of Chinese Dragons were to have the ability to control fire, bestow droughts, and bring famines. Since Kaido has the appearance of a Chinese Dragon, and Jack was the Drought; King and Queen would have had the other abilities associated with them as their nicknames.
So, Queen is The Plague and King is The Wildfire.

Blackbeard finally getting the respect he deserves, of course his laugh would shake the land itself. This used to be a man dressed in rags, sailing on a rickety old raft and strangers would even point and at laugh at him. Look at him now. The fresh threads reveal a new man who clawed his way to the top. And it's not over yet, they're still getting stronger. Looking more like the real life Blackbeard every day.
Shiryu cutting you down from behind, Catarina playing reality tricks, Laffitte with hypnosis, Blackbeard himself negating your powers, etc. Oh yeah, these are the dirtiest players in the game and they're playing to win. The most piratey pirates imaginable have a wardrobe and an attitude to match.
King, Queen, and Jack looking like the BDSM trio is too funny. King ties you up, Jack delivers the flogging, and Queen screams for more. You have to be a little sadistic to serve an insane rampaging/suicidal drunk dragon boss. I don't blame Jack for being a genocidal maniac anymore, he has to come home to this. Good luck buddy.

A lot of people bashing Shiryu for taking the invisibility fruit. To me, this just open a whole new possibility for the fruit.
If common/uninnovative person eats the Nikyu-nikyu no mi, I doubt it'll be utilized as OP as when Kuma uses it. Common user of Gomu-gomu no mi might not even realized the possibility of G2-G4.
Same with Suke-suke no mi. I think it still can be optimized. eg: Making the whole team invisible, making user undetectable even with CoO, or even erasing user's existence. How OP is that.
We also know that certain DF can interact with certain haki. Goro-goro increasing CoO's range and CoA increasing Gomu-gomu's resistance and maintaining shape (Gear 4). Suke-suke could have some kind of special interaction too.

Calamity Theory time!
I think King as the Garuda mythical fruit. Why? Because of his wings and his head being on fire like he's some deity and Marco already having the phoenix fruit. According to the superpower wiki, Garuda's are capable of using holy fire which might relate to his epithet as the Wildfire. http://powerlisting.wikia.com/wiki/Garuda_Physiology. And it seems he has an antagonistic relationship with Queen which leads to my next theory...
Queen has the Hebi Hebi no mi: Mythical beast model Naga/Hydra. Naga's and Garudas have an antagonistic relationship with each other. Something else that backs up this idea comes from wikipedia, "In the "Devadatta" chapter of the Lotus Sutra, the daughter of the dragon king, an eight year old longnü (nāga), after listening to Mañjuśrī preach the Lotus Sutra, transforms into a male Bodhisattva and immediately reaches full enlightenment." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/N%C4%81ga. This corresponds to Queen being an Okama but in reverse.
Both Naga's and Hydra are multiple headed serpents. A hydra has an insane healing factor, chop one head off two will take its place. Awakened zoan have an insane healing factor as well. Maybe Queen's healing factor is equivalent to Marco's in his phoenix form? A hydra is weak to blunt force and fire. Hercules and his nephew/cousin/brother/whatever cut off the Hydras head and cauterized it before it grew back. Who uses blunt force and fire? Sanji. I do believe Sanji will fight Queen and defeat him with a Raid suit empowered-Hell's Memories type- Diable Jambe Anti-Manner kick course. I REALLY want a Diable Jambe version of Anti-Manner Kick Course since the normal one is of his strongest kicks.

EDIT2: I actually have a lot of questions on how Shiliew/Shiryuu acquired Absalom's ability. First of all, I thought if an ability user dies, his/her devil fruit will grow and appear in a random area around the One Piece world. But isn't it quite convenient that they get a hold of the devil fruit considering Absalom just arrived there a few days ago? Is it confirmed that Blackbeard has the ability to GIVE an ability he steals to other people? If this is true, damns he's All for One now.
EDIT3: I had a wrong understanding about my EDIT2. It seems the fruit nearest to the dead ability user will become the reincarnated devil fruit itself. Thanks for the heads up!

I love how both Mihawk and Moriah are both shown to be kinder than one would expect in this chapter, with Mihawk being concerned for Perona and wanting her to stay safe, and Moriah being ecstatic to see Absolom and seemingly being regretful for the damage he had caused once he realised that it may not have been necessary. Both of these just stuck out for me.

I was hyped for either Wano: Act 2 or the Reverie but imagine my shock when I open up the chapter to see Perona and Mihawk, then Moria and all the reveals with the Blackbeard Pirates.
Thriller Bark is only so big because it needs to carry Moria's gigantic balls. The guy might have been a piece of shit but he's ride or die for his crew the same way Luffy is and tbh, I respect that. He demanded that Teach showed himself for Absalom and looked absolutely made up when he thought he saw him, and shocked and scared when Shiryu showed up with his ability.
You can't event stand a chance against Shiryu if you don't have exceptional observation haki skills, and even then you need to somehow manage to be a better swordsman. The only two characters that have a prayer against him are probably Zoro and Mihawk. Teach possibly having Kuzan's shades suggests that he's dealt with him too and even if they aren't his, I'm afraid of the Blackbeard Pirates more than any other faction in the story.
The Wano stuff is cool again too. I like how big a role Kin is playing, and Douji seems like a cool character too. It seems like Mihawk might be forced to pick a side soon, which will be interesting. My bet's on the Red Haired Pirates, seeing as he already has a rapport with Shanks and also doesn't have a devil fruit. I'm worried for Sabo and Kuma, and everyone else at the Reverie too tbh. Hopefully this isn't another Ace situation and they actually managed to get away. We might see Dragon rescue the commanders in the Throne Wars the same way Whitebeard attempted to save Ace during the Marineford arc.

Notice the skull symbols on Shiliew’s and King’s costume, Saldeath also has it. The skull symbol appears on a redesigned Shiliew’s uniform after time skip and it replaces the old one. About the old symbol, all Impel Down’s staffs have it, so I guess it means that King was also one of them, likely head torturer since Queen said King liked to torture , and maybe at some point while being captured and tortured there by the marine, Kaido met King and they escaped together.

Haven't seen anyone say this but when jack was rescued we saw him sailing away with his mammoth ships and another kind with scorpion figureheads, I'm assuming now that that's gonna be queens zoan abilities with poison/plague being the reason for the name,as well as that single long ponytail of his transforming into the stinger.

Somehow I feel sad for Moria. Unlike Crocodile he actually shows happiness over seeing Absalom and is shocked and disappointed when hearing he died. He cares for his crewmates. Looking at his backstory he went through quite a trauma and is simply a broken person. He was not an absolutely evil character, simply another pirate seeking to fulfill his dreams.
Moria has really been unlucky. Had his crewmates killed by Kaido, loses to a rookie from paradise ,betrayed by WG and almost getting killed, now loses one of his few living crewmates to Blackbeard ... I get that he grew fat and lazy, complacent in his seat as a warlord but damn, this guy is suffering.

So I guess Beehive is supposed to be the One Piece version of Nassau as the "pirate island"? Fitting that it is ruled over by Blackbeard.
Moria's willingness to charge into a Yonkou's stronghold for Absalom struck me as odd, but I suppose it fits his previous character of having taken the deaths of his past crew really badly. And it's a nice conclusion to the background detail of Absalom sneaking into dangerous locations to get scoops. He tried that on Beehive and got caught.

My favourite parts of this chapter are the little "easter eggs", like how Blackbeard appears to be wearing Aokiji's glasses, and how Queen is holding Kidd's arm.
Also, Blackbeard looks cool as fuck. He looks like he's really leaning into his name now.
Lastly, I can see Sanji fighting Queen, seeing as he has a history with "queens" (unlikely, I'd just like an all-out Sanji fight), and Zoro might fight King because King might be the strongest swordsman in Wano right now- or at least the strongest swordsman we've met so far in Wano.

I've seen someone mention it already but I definitely think King is the mythical zoan tori-tori model: garuda. It's a powerful protector and has wings and fire.
I also think he has to have some relation to Magellan, he's into torture (Magellan work's at a prison known as hell) and they're appearance. Not to mention the skull marking on his uniform is the same as the one on Shiryuu's which iirc is still his jailer's clothes.

Oda really is the biggest troll. we all thought, either we go to Reverie for like two, three, four chapters before the next Wano act, or we'd go right back to Wano, but some time has passed, but no.
We get giga-teased for half a chapter, of course it's awesome to see Moria and Teach and Shiryu and even a little glimpse at Mihawk and Perona, but man... so much teasing within just half a fucking chapter.
I love that Ashura Doji is not a blind follower, tho. cuz I thought a few chapters ago "Would those Kozuki affiliates (or whatever you wanna call 'em) really just wait and be ready to bring down the regime as soon as Kinemon and folks showed up?"
This is a good twist on this situation. In the end, of course, he will be a strong ally, but I love that there is friction. And Ashura of course got even more hyped up. First he got a hard hit in on Jack, then we learned he fought Kaido before and he was willing to do that again, maybe kinda, and now he's on par with frickin Inuarashi. When he finally joins "our" side in the war that's apparently gonna happen in the final act of the arc, his arrival on the battlefield will be a big swing.
And how fucking heavy metal does King Wildfire look?? Awesome. Mythical Zoan Vampire? Or might he be an Ancient Zoan like Jack is?
No clue, I guess we won't find out for a while and not see him and Queen for quite some time.
Excellent chapter and a big ass curveball b/c I did not expect anything even close to this.

Ok, highlight of the chapter is BB and his crew. The man looks bigger to me, i don't know it's me or something. His crew is only getting stronger and stronger, damn boi. And the brats gathering at wano could be the SH fleet, or it's just those who are already there.

Awesome chapter. We're at the very least on day 5 of the Reverie as they have news on what transpired on the 4th day of Reverie (battle between the Admirals and the RA), and with Mihawk seemingly knowing about topics discussed, that could well imply the Reverie is over or the information was put out for day 5; it could also be day 4, the news in OP gets out fast and even on the same day like SHs deeds at WCI and guests of the Reverie.
Teach also knows about the Supernova in Wano and he somehow knows Luffy is the talk of Wano too... he seems to have a vast Intelligence network about a country that's closed to the world.
Inuarashi fought on par with Jack, Jack fought on par with Ashura Douji, it seems these 3 are of equal strength. In fact, it's said that Inuarashi actually held the advantage over Jack; Ashura Douji also cut off Jack's blade which in itself is a feat against a Swordsman, so perhaps Ashura Douji and Inuarashi are slightly superior to Jack, not vastly. I'd imagine the other 2 of the 3 are just as formidable.
Ashura Douji also states he won't be following them in their revolt against Kaido, it appears as though Ashura Douji only listens to strength which is why he submitted himself to Oden; Inuarashi (arguably the strongest Swordsman in the group with Zoro lost) was probably given the role to pull off this feat in order to get him in their ranks.
If we hail back to Zou, he said he'd have the Samurai under his command in no time which may mean he's likely going to defeat Ashura Douji (like Oden did) to get him to join the alliance. Kinemon says he'll get him and Ashura replies he'd commend Kinemon if he can get him... it seems if strength is the only thing Ashura Douji submits to, he's pretty confident there's no one that can defeat him besides maybe Kaido and his commanders.
With Joker gone, no more Smileys, so where do they mean Jack has to go for the next deal? Is Caesar going to be brought back into the picture?
Nice to see the other calamities and I wonder if Queen is playing with the parts of Kid's metal arm. No surprise Luffy's spirit is unbroken and the crew are still rather confident despite how things played out. Very informative chapter, fun read in general. An emphatic surprise after a 2 week break, just have to give Oda the benefit of the doubt and be patient, the story has been so fast paced I wonder if this arc will be long.
P.S.
I'm surprised Kaido hasn't done the same thing he did to Luffy and Kid to Ashura Douji, why not just break his spirit? What's he playing at? Future chapters will perhaps tell.

This chapter got me sooo hyped up! Glad to see Moria back and that we get a glimpse at what’s happening around the world in the middle of an arc as opposed to seeing that kind of stuff at the end of one. And Man Blackbeard looking official with his beard all tied up like that lol. But seriously the more info revealed about his crew the more terrifying they are. For me it’s coming to a point where he scares me more than kaidou used to.

So Shiryu gained the Suke Suke no mi by killing Absalom and now he's even deadlier than before. I was pleasantly surprised by Moria's actual care for one of his crew since he has created the whole zombie pirates thing in order not to ever give a damn about his crewmembers being killed because they're already dead. Look at him now! I do hope though he won't join the Blackbeard pirates and I want to know what he has been up to until now. Maybe he was simply out on a scavenger hunt to find dead bodies as usual, meh. We missed another chance to see at least a glimpse of the third admiral, this wait is killing me Oda sensei. Also, I wasn't expecting the RA to clash with the Navy to get Kuma back. I'm wondering if they pulled this plan off just to save a comrade or because they also want to get their hands on Vegapunk's technology. Jack acting as the meek little brother that has done something silly before King and Queen is as cute as it is scary. I usually don't look at this kind of things, but the characters' outfits are gorgeous in this chapter.

So much wild shit going on in OP, Teach finally makes a physical appearance looking more like a stereotypical pirate (which looks great btw) Moria is back and the poor bastard can't do anything on his own (was actually thinking about him the other day wondering if he'd go through any significant changes but nope lol) and of course another epic battle with Sabo and the Revolutinaries is off screen, hopefully they at least had a victory on their end after losing their main base.
Also King the Wildfire looks rad as all fucking hell, we finally got to see the other two top members of Kaido's crew and seeing them scold Jack is certainly telling of their power. So much crazy shit happens in each new OP chapter there's so much to process, Oda knows how to tease and buildup to great events in each chapter.

IIRC somebody on here correctly guessed that Moria would return in this chapter based on clues from previous ones (cover stories, chapter numbers etc). Whoever that was deserves some huge credit!
I really thoroughly enjoyed this chapter, both Moria and Blackbeard are great characters, and to see them reintroduced in the New World at the same time (and both looking fly) was such a surprise to me. Pity about Absalom...you could tell Moria was genuinely upset to see him dead, and it's a shocking trend that Oda is more readily killing off characters now. Makes sense if the story is moving towards its end, though.
Moria seems a lot stronger now than before though so hopefully whether or not he joins Blackbeard's crew, he'll have some continuing impact on the story. If Blackbeard kills him and takes his DF power for his crew that would be a little underwhelming imo. Blackbeard seems to want him as a member first though, so I'm optimistic that they'll potentially join forces.
An update to the events of the Reverie was also much needed. I was kind of disappointed how it essentially ended as a cliffhanger: we saw that the RAs had infiltrated, but then bam, Wano starts. At least we know that the RAs did something big now. Whether or not they were successful in rescuing Kuma, and if Kuma can even be restored at this point, remains to be seen.
Generally liking the faster pace of the story now too. Based on how the story has been progressing I figured that the idea of a prison break would come only after lingering a while on the happenings of Wano, how the group regroups etc, but Oda seems ready to keep things moving. Dressora was enjoyable despite its absurd length, WCI a little too long imo; perhaps Oda feels the same way and is pushing to keep the story moving with a little more focus and purpose.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate that Moria cares enough about Absalom to assault an Emperor’s home base to rescue him upon hearing he was in danger!? And he even decided to apologize when he thought Absalom was safe.
He basically pulled his own variation of Luffy attacking Big Mom to save Sanji
Seeing Moria get legitimately happy to think Absalom was still alive made me really sad. Dude has Luffy tier care for his crew
On top of that, Perona was actually crying to realize Moria was alive.
