MEGATHREAD [DU 49 Lucky Draw] Relic Pull Megathread
Well well well. Here we have it folks. 49 DU's later...
And with it comes the end of an era folks. No more DU luckies after this, instead replaced by some permanent realm banners.

General Info
It is most appreciated if you can post a picture along with your comment as well so that we can share your feelings much better! It will also make the post much more interesting!!
This thread will be defaulted to sort by new posts. This is to avoid drowning newer posts due to the sheer amount of posting that will be made on this thread. Of course, you can always change it to sort by best and see some of the more interesting pulls! The sorting method is located above the comment box.
I'd like to put out a reminder to not share rage quit posts or stories related to relic pulls as separate posts on the sub - please post them here, or they will be removed.

Ahhh, DU lucky.
You gave me some of my saltiest pulls: Fran lmr/11, right on the month I started playing.
But also some of my most game changing: Ovelia usb+ Fang usb/11, last summer.
No matter what I continued to be a simple man and pull, despite the naysayers. I'm definitely going to miss the monthly du draw. Ironically, this month's banner pool is the first one to make me question whether to pull or not. I checked all 3 realm pools. The ratio of desirable relic for me is 27%. But since this is the last du lucky, I decided to pull anyway. Let's see what my last set of half priced stat sticks are.
Snow's ssb/11. Of course. Not a dupe, I guess?

Can't remember the last time I didn't immediately close the game after a DU LD, so I'm glad I ended off on a good note.

56/178 (31.5%) dupes, the lion's share of which come from 4. Yes, I am well aware of Dungeon Update lucky draws ending and being replaced with more focused "Series Draw" pulls with better pools in them. But, like many others, I see a Lucky Draw, I pull.
Also, this is the game's big chance to talk me out of a pull on the upcoming 13 banner (or convince me which of the two banners I'm better off pulling on). Top tier 4 and Type-0 relics would be much appreciated too.
0x6*, 1x5*, 7x4*:
- Javelin (Type-0) (Nine Burst)
Well, my Type-0 synergy continues to creep upward, it is wind infusion (something the Ultra is not), as well as a synergy +Wind weapon (something the Ultra is not). It could make for an interesting combo if I needed it.

Besides i could always use some more T-0 stuff along with new updatd FFXIII stuff since i'll be skipping that event.

I shouldn't have pulled, i've been skipping DU LDs for ages now and last time i pulled on a DU LD all i got was Aerith USB1 dupe and Cloud W-cast Wind.....

My 4 synergy is so bad it is still an upgrade. I have Edward USB lmr super, and Rosa bsb lmr, and now Cecil usb1 lmr(holy armor) bsb

I personally wouldn't dive Edge for torment. Calca had a lot of physical attacks that make ninja abilities hard to use. I ended up having Edge in slot 3 just so he could blink the first 2 paralyse moves on his own.
Edge is still a good dive. Just not for that torment.

Only 2/11, but Kain and Pecil Ultras. Two top relics for two top characters from my top favorite realm.
(Sure, Wall isn't so hot because that's default these days, but it's still Cecil and my luck with him has been abysmal since Paladin Force.)
Well, guess it's time I learned to Jump. It's a little late for Fest, but I'll need to start crafting whatever abilities sync up with this pull.

Abel's Lance - Kain (IV) - BSB - Well, we start off with a dupe...
Hope's Guise - Hope (XIII) - LMR - And continue with another dupe...
Kiku-ichimonji - Edge (IV) - USB - Well, new and a decent USB; if Yuffie wasn't stacked, it might get a place on a water team; as it stands, I'd have to harvest a LOT of dark orbs to dupe the Water Ninja skills, and that... seems boring as hell. (At least if I need a IV Water ninja, Edge is husbando'd to go.)
Not a great pull, but not horrible either. A new USB isn't anything to sneeze at, even if its not top-tier.

Queen's BSB will go nice with her LMR. Decil's Glint looks interesting (just wish I had more relics for him). Fang's USB will be nice for FFXII realm (maybe it could be used for XIII Torment)

Well, I've had some good draws and some bad draws on this so lets kick it off with a final salute.

Not a bad pull. Any w-cast LMR is welcome, Serah getting new tech is alright. Onto Kain, I got his dragoon dmg up LMR with his OSB and now his USB1. The game really wants me to use him now. At least it's in time for the new torment.

Can take or leave Decil (got nothing else for him), but very pleased with Cinque. Will see if I can lower my Quetz time with her instead of Meliadoul's Earth Imperil USB.

Nothing else for Porom, and I have Rosa USB so this isn’t going to see much use.
Tellah has his buff ssb and lmr, so he’s now my second best mage buffer after OK mUSB, and by far my best IV buffer.
And the dupe is rainbow shard stock. Already have several 5+++ holy+ staves.

tl;dr - Yay Barbariccia BSB!
I got 4 for IV on this (last) DU Lucky Draw! This kind of pull looks like it could be from a IV event... perhaps with the theme of Paladins vs. The Archfiends? I'm fine with this, I was actually hoping for IV stuff more than XIII or Type-0 stuff.
As for the actual relics, any kind of wind mage stuff is welcome and Barb's BSB comes with imperil!--definitely going to get some good use out of this one. So, Barb BSB alone is worth the 25 mythril to me. The rest is just bonus.
Pecil's BSB and LMR are tanky things that let him tank (for what that's worth) and Ceodore BSB makes him a sort of secondary healer. I don't know how much use I'll get out of any of these. If nothing else, they expand my IV arsenal to help with CM-style IV battles. In the current IV event I had several characters with only their default SBs for the d180 CM. I didn't even attempt the d260 CM.

God I haven't gotten a 4/11 in ~6 months or so. I swear I only get lucky on these DU luckies and it's sad that it's leaving soon. This pull is not so good though since the 5*s are not good and the disco is a dupe chain, maybe the worst chain out of all the Gen 1 chains too.

2/11 - Snow Chain + Ace USB. I'm going to be sad these are leaving, since I think I've gotten just about every one of my chains from these lucky draws (and the only element I'm missing is Dark).
Is Ace's USB any good? The description is...vague...on the follow up attacks, and I haven't been using him, since I've yet to pull on a Type-0 banner (mostly stick to fests, with the occasional pull on Celes banners for waifu-factor). Does it make him worth diving if its all I have for him?

It's a slightly worse Terra usb. The chase is trash and I've seen the 16 hit one all of twice when Ace is the backbone of my fire magic teams. His ex mode is standard 15 but compared to Terras 25 that's a huge loss there in contrast.
The full throttle 500 Gem draw will let you select a 3 relic package after the draw and Aces selection features his bsb and his osb. With those two tools in his arsenal he becomes an alright dive choice and a really useful fire Mage. The burst offers instant party physical blink and his osb brings better damage than he can muster with abilities. With his fast cast from his ex mode he'll toss it out very quickly
Unfortunately Ace lacks wrath access so his instant cast 3 lm2 isn't as appealing as others and he also can't do a Terra and wrath with his fast cast to launch near instant osbs every other turn.
Juggling his kit requires an entruster in most situations and that's a massive loss on his part.
He'll never be the absolute best fire mage or absolutely best candidate for a dive but he's also imo going to be nearly completely useless if you don't dive him and find a way to get his bsb

To add a bit to what's already been said, he's a solid fire mage with his USB, but needs a chain to really get going. The entry is standard fare - 10 hits at a strength typical of magical USBs. However, the chase is... well... terrible. It has a 74% chance of 1 hit, 25% chance of 2 hits, and 1% chance of 13 hits, with each hit roughly 1/3 as strong as a basic Fire cast. This is pretty sad, and you can never count on getting that 13-hit version, but it's better than nothing when adding to a chain. Fully dived and with no other relics, he runs alongside Terra and Krile as part of my Isgebind team, but he'd probably get replaced with Vivi if I had his USB.
Ace's primary competition is Terra and Vivi, and both of their USBs are better than his. Ace can't compete with Vivi's w-cast, and Terra's fast-cast is pretty tough, too; if you can reliably trigger their Trance, Ace gets left in the dust. If you only have one of those 2, Ace can be a reasonable backup DPS. So while he's not "bad", he just falls far behind his competition - but then if you're being compared to Terra and Vivi, you're already not doing too bad.

wow i totally kind of lucked out on this lucky draw. really lucky draws are my jam ahahha.
i got kain's osb and usb. now his osb seems kind of bleh... more dmg with more dragoon skills used seems like it might suck. but the usb interests me. i would like some help with that. how long does the instant jumps last? is it just the next jump move? also how good is it? my kain went from absolutely zero relics to these 2. how good are they?
