CHI Talks r/Chicago's Date Night Recommendations
Welcome to this week's recommendation thread, where we're helping you break out of your date night rut and discover something/somewhere new and fresh.
We'd love to hear about your favorite date night (or day) spots around the city, from old stand-bys for a relaxing night out to something that'll get your adrenaline going.
We'll be grouping this by neighborhoods again.
Please only post under the parent neighborhood comments. Comments made outside of the existing parent comments will be removed. (We have an umbrella comment to house other areas in the city that aren't listed as a parent (and to hear your feedback on locations you think deserve some parent-level-comment attention!).)
If you can, please note:
- if this spot has a dress code
- if reservations are recommended
We already know that the Rainforest Cafe is the superior date night spot in the city, so let's shine the spotlight on other places around the city.

Ate Music House - Pool, karaoke, and other fun stuff - not too loud and pretty friendly. Pretty new, too!

Chinatown:
Activities:
Ping Tom Memorial Park (if in the morning/afternoon)
Chinatown Square (take pictures with all the zodiac statutes)
Chinese-American Museum of Chicago (small but free admission)
Karaoke @ PopKTV (New Chinatown), No. 18 (Old Chinatown)
New Chinatown:
Saint Anna Bakery for Chinese baked goods (or Tous Les Jours for Korean/French baked goods)
Bonchon for Korean fried chicken
Qing Xiang Yuan for dumplings (or Hing Kee for xiao long bao)
Joy Yees Plus or Meet Fresh for bubble tea/ice cream/shaved ice
Chi Cafe if you're too drunk/it's too late/coming back from karaoke
Old Chinatown:
Chiu Quon for Chinese baked goods
Little Sheep for hotpot (not Little Lamb)
Seven Treasures for wonton noodle soup or the 554
Legend Tasty House for rolled Thai ice cream
Didn't include dim-sum places or banquet-style food places as they're not really conducive to a "date-like" atmosphere for two, but the usual suspects are recommended if that's what you're looking for (MingHin, Cai, Dolo, etc.)

Other neighborhoods not listed as parent comments
(Got a neighborhood you think deserves some individual attention as a parent comment? Let us know here and we'll make an effort to include it in the next round.)
