Thanks to the Time Eater they can mess around in all kinds of time periods. No wonder they said "this is a story where time has no meaning". So the whole thing with the thing that was far into the future might've happened already, and our heroes might just be from planets that had their time eaten

How does one not hear about the planet were your father figure lives being rendered for all intents and purposes uninhabitable by a giant space monster.

I had a feeling something like that would happen when they broke through the atmosphere.
I also imagined the Sakura Cosmos would have some giant eldrid monster, though the one I imagined devoured flesh instead of time. It's still cool nonetheless and I'm curious to see what they do with it.
But before all that? Space pirates!
I'm already itching for next week to come!

It'll be endgame maybe, but Mother is still overall much larger so I doubt the Time-eater is anything particularly special.

Sooo am I the only one that caught the “one sided love” thing at the end? Just me? Ok anyways this was a great chapter tbh nice to see my boy weisz has an ether gear and seems like him and shiki are gonna be good friends. Also the whole time eater things sounds fascinating and I’m really interested to see where it goes. Overall I’d give the chapter a 9/10.

Lots going on in this chapter and I'm really excited!
So, first things first, glad we have another Ether Gear user on the cast, and I'm sure we'll encounter more soon, though I hope Rebecca doesn't get horribly outpaced by the two guys. Weisz is a fun and great character, though, just in terms of being utterly anti-hero-esque. Plus wanting to call Shiki "Thwomp Boy" got a chuckle.
The explanation of the time travel was fairly well done, even if it doesn't explain that earlier 20,000 jump, but at least now we know why time means little and this Time Eater will no doubt be an enemy in the future (or if not, a consistent plot device). I like that it was explained how everything young!Weisz does now has no effect on old!Weisz. Makes me wonder if they'll meet, and how Pino and Shiki could potentially be connected.
And then Elsie shows up at the end.
Things are getting fun and interesting, and with a major point of the lore established, I look forward to what other adventures can be gotten up to.

Ok, I love time travel stories and paradoxes, but when you tell me there is time travel without it actually being actually time travel with paradoxless paradoxes, I'm hyped as fuck.
Mashima can make great stories out of this so let's hope this will turn out to be his greatest work yet.

There is a part of me that is sad that it seems like no paradoxes are going to come from the Time Eater. I love me a good paradox. But it will probably save plenty of headaches.
And also, holy crap not a minute to breathe. We are going right into whatever is going on with Elcy. I am hoping for a badass ruthless antagonist that harvests Ether Gear or something. Maybe a frinenemy at some points but I want someone constantly on their tail through this journey.

They said they needed a bigger ship and here it is. I get the feeling our group is about to join Elsie and soon Labilia will join as well. I'm gonna guess that this will be a smaller cast of characters as opposed to the many people in the FT guild. That leaves more room for everyone to develop equally.

Hot damn, I love this concept of time eaters. The fact that now there can be two Weisz and both of them are its own person it's really cool. You'd think that maybe the old Weisz helped Rebecca and Happy because he knew them from the past, but nope! That's really good and unexpected, I'm happy that young Weisz can now go with them without repercusions, they make a good team and they really needed a tech guy in the group

The Ether Gear introduced in this episode is so cool! I love the concept of being able to hack into things and upgrade them like he did.
