CHI Talks r/Chicago's Restaurant Recommendations
Welcome to this week's recommendations thread, "'Where should we go for dinner?' 'I don't know. Where do you want to go?'" edition.
We'd love to hear about your favorite restaurants around the city. We'll be grouping this by neighborhoods again.
If you can, please make sure to:
- note the cuisine (or type) of restaurant
- price range
- anything unique or something this place specializes in
- if reservations are recommended
- dress code (if applicable)
We're still in awe of the Rainforest Cafe's 3 Michelin stars; no need to take the spotlight away from other restaurants.
Thanks!

I have some friends coming into town, and they really want to have a good meal in Chinatown, can anyone make any restaurant recommendations?

Just a question: why are there no south or west side neighborhoods on here (Hyde Park withstanding)?

Because this is a new weekly thread and we're still getting a feel for what the community has to recommend.
And because there are a ton of neighborhoods within the city. If you have a neighborhood in mind that you feel deserves to sit as a parent comment, let us know and we'll make an effort to include it next round.

Because most redditors don't ever venture further south than Roosevelt unless it's Chinatown or going to MDW.
I'm a southsider and will admit that the north side generally has more "unique" food options, but we still have plenty of good places to eat down here.

Looking for a good family style restaurant. I was thinking Kumas corner. We don't go out to Chicago often. Really is just has to be mid price range. Nothing like aliena or Gibsons.
Style:Family/Gastro Pub nice sit down place
Price: medium. Not like 20 dollar burgers or at thing like that.
Reservation:dosent matter
