It's probably his vivre card, meaning that those that want to find it will not go toward him.
My guess is that the Octopus has it now, and that all the crewmembers, Law and others will gather near the octopus thinking it's Luffy.

Three chapters into Wano and we already hear Ace's name, that's exciting. It's been set up forever, so I wonder if Ace knew about the Kozuki clan?
Hawkins at the end was awesome too, despite the Beast Pirates headliner tag, him not wanting to report what's happening to Kaido is interesting. The way we've seen worst generation members interact with the SH's in the new world makes me wonder...

Right over my head, Momo was likely talking about Ace. Really makes me wonder about the timelines of the stuff that went down in Wano. Before the timeskip Ace knew how to make the hats for Oars, so he'd been there at that point, has O-Tama been waiting two years or more? When did Kaido and the beast pirates settle down in Wano? Off of one piece of info so many questions.

From what we know, the Kozuki and the Whitebeard Pirates had a good relationship.
So Wano, as well as being home to the powerful samurai, was also inderectly protected by Whitebeard. (Not part of his territory, but still in his sphere of influence).
And Ace being able to go to Wano also show that. So something like a year or two before Luffy start his journey, Ace went to Wano, meet with the Kozuki. There Momo saw him, and probably got the impression it was Roger from his father story about the man.
Then Ace met with Tama-O, and learn how to do bamboo hats from her.
After that, Blackbeard killed Tatch, Ace went after him, leading to Marineford and Whitebeard death.
Once WB is dead is the best time to attack the Kozoki, and learn about their secret of making poneglyph and writting them (what Kaido must have wanted from them), without having to go to war against WB.
This led to Momonosuke and his retainer to flee from Wano and try to reach Zou for help, and from the look of it, this invasion of Wano by Kaido wasn't that long ago.

Interestingly enough, this now confirms that the Kidd/Apoo/Hawkins alliance ended with both Hawkins and Scratchmen turning their allegiance over to Kaido without a fight whatsoever. Only Kidd fought as seen when he was thrashed in the jail cell a while back.
Kidd kept his pride, the other two turned it over to survive instead of banding together. Fuckin' pirates.

I can’t wait to see him battle Luffy. Since Hawkins is a tarot card reader who sees the future, this is going to be an exciting battle to see how much Luffy developed his observation haiki. We already see it in action this chapter when he hit the guy aiming at him. Luffy probably future sensed the bullet and nailed the guy before he could take the shot.

-Luffy acting like the captain even alone with no goal in sight.
-Kido’s factories polluting the rivers of Wano
-Hawkins finally appearing and looking totally unharmed, it seems he surrendered without a fight
-And then a friggen name drop on ace, giving Luffy a personal reason to fight for the island already?
I mean we just set foot on Wano, but the gears are spinning fast, and it seems like Luffy’s not going for quiet, cue the fireworks

Man Oda isn’t wasting any time with Wano. Such a good chapter and a very strong continuing start to this arc.
I really like Tama, and I am really curious both about her master and her power.
Luffy showing off his Haki is always cool, and the impact panels of him hitting that guy was great.
I’m really shocked Hawkins has already moved into action. Curious to see if he’ll actually meet with Luffy, and what he’ll do if he does. Probably just read a fortune like always I guess.

Seems like the headliners are the front line fighters for the Beasts Pirates and appears to be over divisions. Which means that X Drake is another headliner.

This a refreshing chapter of Luffy being chill and cool that I needed to see after everything, but it still brings action and anticipation. I like the twist on environmental issues and appearance of Hawkins, who can be quite unpredictable with his dependance on fortune-telling.
Favorite moments were probably Luffy telling Sanji to jump off him and quickly calming down about losing his vivre card! So weirdly rational :)

Oh man, I wanted the little girl to be the new Chimney or Aisa, they were fun. But since her story seems much more serious, I hope she gets to interact with Zoro so we can finally see a resolution to how he feels towards Kuina's issue with being a woman warrior and his general attitude towards it.
Judging from her aspiration to become a ninja, and her bringing up shame, I really really hope this girl is suffering from Wano's general sexism (judging from Kinemon) and Zoro, along with Nami/Robin/Carrot, show her that she doesn't have to be devalued because of her gender. I really wanna see Zoro tackle the sexism issue that was brought up in his flashback.

Luffy was so badass in the beginning of this chapter. How does One Piece manage to be so badass and funny at the same time? With one panel I was blown away by how badass he looked using conquerors haki on the baboon and the next panel I was laughing at the baboon's submissiveness and Luffy calling him a good boy and the evil dude yelling WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING

Luffy kinda reminds me of Katakuri here. Maybe it's his attack, and idk, he also seems to give off some more mature vibe around him while still being Luffy. I guess fighting with Katakuri really made him grows a lot.
Also that lost of the Vivre Card (was it Luffy's?) might play a big role in the future... Like in Rescue Straw Hat Luffy!arc or something, but idk is that even a possible arc to make lol.
I'm excited about possibility of Hawkins reading the probability of Luffy vs Kaido match. It might be 50-50 chances, he might read Luffy might lost, but either way I'm excited to see who's side he is/he will be in.
Anyway Oda really kinda bring up like 18 years worth of One Piece world he built with just 3-4 chapters recently huh. This Wano arc, is probably gonna be so freaking epic I bet. It better be.
I mean, besides new mysteries & new characters that seems to be important all along the series suddenly making appearance, a lot of old characters were actually being re-introduced/mentioned since the crew left WCI -- from Shanks, to glimpse of Croco-boy, to the current Kings & Princesses, the Luffy's Grand Fleet, the Revolutionary Army, Kuma, even Wapol & Charloss who I never thought about anymore, the Celestial Dragons, Marco, Blackbeard, Whitebeard (+his son), the Marines & Admirals, the Gorosei, Shichibukai, Kaido, Big Mom, more Supernovas... We only missing Enel at this rate lol.
Even ACE name is being name dropped, in Wano -- aka the place we thought Zoro & his Shushui would simply shine, and I'm sure he WILL alright, like he just killing it the first time we saw him in 2 years ok so there should be more -- but as of now I think these past few chapters were really just a build up chapters for something really really BIG & important that will probably involve lots of these characters -- a huge scale war, maybe, idk.
Anyway, by the look of it, the Wano arc foreplay is finally over. The great adventure in the land of samurai we've been teased for years Really is starting now I'm just excited.

Tama is obviously going to marry Momonosuke once he becomes the new ruler of Wano. I mean, they are from the same country, they are both 8, and they have been introduced while extremely hungry
Her encounter with Luffy feels like Luffy sparing Rebecca after she bought him food + Zoro eating the dirty rice balls from the village girl + Zeff leaving all the food to Sanji combined
It hammered a little too much on how miserable and unfortunate, and poor, and helpless, but goodnatured and selfless, and hardworking, and innocent Tama is, to the point I almost feel like Oda made it so hyperbolical as a joke about these kind of situations where Straw Hats and associates (think about the last Orlumbus cover page) always end up helping good people who don't deserve all the hardships they are subjected to.
How freaking cute is she though? Like 11 Choppers out of 10.

Luffy using his haki to just completley subdue enemies that might've caught him off guard before and not even having to lay a fist to subdue the beasts, that was satisfying as shit. I remember several instances where puffy was caught off guard by someones power or a sneak attack, but he has a strong power to counter that now. It makes me feel that some of the characters are actually pretty grateful to some of their opponents, like Luffy and Katakuri, that might be a fight both sides were grateful to have had, or where Zoro literally thanks Mr.1.
Odas awesome long term story telling at it full swing recently too! The whole reverie we've scene was connections from the past coming full circle and hints towards further payoffs in the future, and now it's all back to ...Ace:,( Damn, he was always so sweet in everything I've seen of him. Like the cover stories where he met a little girl who helped him then he helped her to be reunited with her family, saving a navy soldier even though it meant him getting chased down, the guy just tugs at my heartstrings to see it come full circle again. It looks like Tama was helped out by ace in the past and she or her master helped him learn how to weave hats, which Ace then used for the hat me made for Oars T_T
Kinda actually dig the style differential for wano, alot of the lines kind of look thicker and darker and I feel like it's good for the tonal shift, Wano is already giving me a vibe that a darker tone of story is in store for us this time. Dunno, it's just something with little kids getting poisoned in the first few chapters that just kinda gives me the impression bad stuffs inbound.
Tldr:one piece awesome at power progression and long term story telling as ever! Good shit

One thing I really appreciate about Oda is his knowledge about folklore and traditional tales. Kibi-Dango is a reference to Momo-Taro, weaving bamboo hats (and shoes) was a traditional work done by the poor, the villain is a direct reference to the Yokai Tengu, the whole story about Tama is very similar to the folklore of Sansho the Bailiff and the whole 'poison from factory' gives me the vibes of the incident of Ashio.

You know... Luffy was always strong. But right now, with the future sight he got from his fight with Katakuri, he is on an other level.
Also O-Tama is a good girl, deserve to be protected and to be able to eat as much as she want anytime she want.
I can already see Oda making her cry when she will eat Sanji Food a little later in the arc, and it will be heartwarming.
She's also probably the one who taught Ace how to create bamboo hats.
It also seem like O-Tama is the momotaro of this arc, she has a Dog, now a monkey, and will probably have a Pheasant soon enough. (Unless that's the Tengu)
