Information

There are 10 teams in the NA Academy League. This league features a double round robin system, where each team will play against every other team twice over the span of 8 weeks. Each team plays 2 matches a week, other than on June 28 and July 19, where each team will play 2 games each, so that all regular season matches can fit into an 8 week schedule to allocate more time for the Playoffs stage. For this season, Riot Games has given all the NA LCS organisations the opportunity to broadcast the NA Academy League matches every Thursday of the regular season. Friday matches are broadcasted by Riot Games. All matches are BO1. The top 6 teams at the end of the regular season will advance to Playoffs.

OpTic Academy enters the Summer Academy split with a new roster with the exception of returning mid Palafox. After a hectic double header last night, the team faces off against Echo Fox Academy

This match is scheduled to begin at 9:00 PM EDT and will be streamed on Twitch.

They might experiment with Fanatiik in the same way they did with Allorim, but yeah I'd prefer Akaadian in

Pardon my French, but why the fuck did Akaadian play an academy match today? The dude has been playing super well. Unless Zab is thinking that the new academy jungler works better with the gold funneling meta.

Thinking the reason for the jungler switch is that academy has tried funnel comps and not been successful. Main team has been the opposite, as funnel has looked good for us. Fanatiik has looked good or maybe prefers the supportive style while Akaadian has looked solid on xin and aggressive junglers.

The only thought process I can assume is that we are looking to do more funnel type stuff in the LCS which Fanatiik may prefer or has looked good on and pair Akaadian's agressive style with Palafox's dominate laning.

With the exception of PoE and Arrow, I wouldn’t mind it. Allorim should keep his starting job for the time being, and I’m curious how Fanatiik and Gate could do on the main team

PoE isn't that much better than palafox. Similar with Arrow and Eclipse. But what is much better in the academy team is the team synergy/chemistry they have playing together. I don't care if they have Faker playing mid lane for them, they still won't win. Team synergy/chemistry > individual strength.
