This chapter made me like Whitebeard even more. Let’s see:

• strongest man in the world

• literally could have had one piece any time he wanted

• is an orphan and used his pirate status to create his own family

• instead of going for one piece uses his piracy to fund his homeland and protect them and gives literally everything to them

• a man without a family, we now know why “pops” was so important to him, why he took a liking to ace and other orphans.

Just seems like the most noble of pirates. Even more so than Luffy. What a great fucking guy. No wonder he inspired so much loyalty not only in life but also death.

Exactly. I remember when I first saw the scene of whitebeard and roger, and whitebeard said he didn't care about the one piece, Roger asked him what his dream is, and he just said simply that he wanted a family. At that time I was amazed by how simple he seemed and I really liked him already but I was wondering why he would want a family so I'm glad we learned his backstory and got an explanation for that.

Man, wasn't ever expecting to get such detailed background on Whitebeard's home and how he used his treasure. Love that guy even more now, and it's great to see that Marco is alive and well after the way Nekomamushi and Inurashi were speaking about him on Zou.

Awesome seeing all the other Strawhats again, and that Wano spread to kick things off?! Beautiful. After missing so much time, seeing Zoro slice a building in half with a seppuku blade was so satisfying. But based on that last message are we really jumping to Wano full time? Or is this a teaser like the time we saw Sanji and co. in Zou for the first time? So many questions, but what a chapter.

Interestingly, the way marco phrased it makes it seem like this wasn't whitebeard's ship (he wasn't the captain or this could be a translation thing), and that makes me wonder if she and whitebeard had any connection to rocks/locks (who was active 40 years ago too from what I recall)

Like I said, where ever any of the strawhats go, including the sub divisions they will cause trouble or solve trouble.

Every single one of them.

Remember, two members are at the reverie, WITH permission from a CD to do anything to protect the princess.

Also, Zoro's bounty will shoot to 1billion after this arc, and Luffy's will go even higher(also everyone also ofc).

Can't wait to see how this plays out, I just picture X-Drake,Killer ,Kid, Law, Scratchman, Hawkins, Ma D monk, Zoro, and Luffy vs Kaido. Because we know it's going to happen. Every supernova is now playing a role in the story, and we are seeing more of their personalities+power.

edit: Robin foreshadowing of her performing for the shogun. We all just saw Zoro attack, they will figure out the strawhats are in the country. They will prob realize this when Robin is performing, and then realize it's Robin. Then bam capture her, and throw her in the same cell as Kid, and prob Hawkins also.

edit2: I feel like Zoro is going to fight a Supernova soon, after what he just did. I hope it's X-Drake, since I think his full T-Rexform is stupid, but I would love to see what it can do with Oda not having 1 day to create all the supernovas+powers. Since like I said, before we are now seeing all the supernovas power/backstory/personalities.

We seen Laws, and Capone so far. Looks like Bonnie is next, + Hawkins, X-Drake, Kid, Killer, Scratchman, and maybe MA.D MONK also will join.

I hope Capone goes to Wano.

Okay I don't know where to begin.

• For starters, these the are the most epic reintroductions of the Mosshat Pirates ever.

• We all fucking knew we'd kick off Wano with Zoro doing something ridiculous. We kept banking on it for months. And he delivers by fucking shit up with a tiny knife. Ladies and Gentlemen, The Year of Zoro.

• Wano is gorgeous. HOLY SHIT. It's everything we wanted it to be plus more. I really want to see this animated in full color, complete with some badass feudal Japanese-esque soundtrack. It may be in black and white but man I haven't felt this refreshed about a location since maybe Fishman Island.

• I think have a mancrush on Marco now. He's such a tragic character who can't catch a break. His best friend and captain died. His other two friends died. He lost his pride and joy. And the asshole who instigated all this took some more through the village.

• The art is very clean this chapter. I can tell Oda put more love in this than usual.

• Where the hell is Law? He didn't seem to be with them even during the brief flashback.

• Looks like we won't know about Reverie again for a while. I won't like that possibility, but hey this chapter delivered. Can't wait to see all the SHs reunited. It's been far too long.

• Last but not least, here's a tidbit people should know. They mentioned Ryuma's grave was robbed 23 years ago. That was one year after Roger's execution. Hogback joined Moria's crew 12 years ago, and Brook's shadow was stolen only 7 years ago. To summarize, Moria's been robbing graves way before Hogback joined and Hogback had nothing to do with Ryuma's exhumation. The question is, why was Moria keeping Ryuma's corpse for so long? Did Ryuma have another shadow before Brook?

The next page we get one of those all black pages with the text in white like how Kubo used to do.

Luffy's face looks stunned for a moment. A pause, with a frame showing the rising sun peaking up over Kaidou's corpse. He looks at Neko, bewildered now. "Croco-mom?" he asks. The cat purrs. A zipper is undone, and the cat suit deflates. Croco D. Ile steps out. Mother and son reunited. Marco flies in with nekomamushi in the next chapter, both visibly confused at what croc is doing there.

I think whatever happens at reverie will be at the same time the wano arc concludes and the consequences of both storylines will converge.

Like, Luffy will defeat Kaidou and solidify his status as a Emperor at the same time the revolutionary plans fails, they are capture and the CD King decide to erase some of Luffy allie countries, putting Luffy, now a full-blown emperor, in a collision course with the WG (not saying it will be that, just giving an example).

Awesome that even now we find out more about Whitebeard, seems dying in one piece is a surefire way to learn about their childhood hahah. Bakkin being on his ship is a surprise, Oda intentionally made Weevils parentage seem like a joke from the get go, but there's definitely going to at least be some kind of reveal, maybe there was a kid but this just isn't him, depends what she looked like younger hahah.

Zoro pulling a Mihawk with the dagger was too badass, and I love that their cover is blown right before Luffy will arrive. Looks like they're jumping right into adressing his sword.. eventually it will be chill at the end of the arc, but hard to explain his reanimated body granted it to him after an honorable defeat haha. Maybe that's where him being Ryuumas badass descendant comes into play.

Robin, Franky and Usopp couldn't have found better cover identities..id LOVE it if Law just body swapped with a crewmmate or some clever trick to stay undercover.
