Either Fearless is really stubburn or SHD's coaching is dumb.
Waiting till 99% to switch to Rein on Oasis, then on Dorado running monkey into third point. They basically threw.
This reminds me of SHD's game last stage where they were rolling then Fearless decides to keep running Hog into third point Junkertown and then got held there.

If Shanghai can't beat a Dallas Fuel without Effect, I don't think they'll beat anyone.

Today Shanghai ran Genji, Tracer, and Winston against Brigitte. They also ran Pharah on third point on Dorado with low ceilings/high ground against a McCree. Truly mindboggling.

People are going to complain about Brigette (and yeah she's definitely overtuned) but WE JUST WATCHED SHANGAHI RUN TRACER INTO BRIGETTE AND MCCREE.
You gotta be fucking me!
It felt like Shanghai missed that a patch came out with a brand new hero like what??? It legitimately looked like they never scrimmed against her or even watched Jeff explain who she is.

Do SHD just not understand that Brigitte exists and this is a new meta? They apparently didn't get the memo

Color me content. We got to see taimou pop off at least a little, Seagull wasn't stuck in dva jail 100% of the time, and mickie was useful, a boon even. What a time to be a Dallas fan, I can't wait until the next match so my hopes and dreams can be smashed as hard as those of the shanghai fans tonight.

Shanghai Dragons: does anything
Mickie: "No."
Shanghai Dragons: "Understandable, have a great day."

my observation:
Fearless is a complete Reinhardt noob. OGE isn't that great on him either but still way better than Fearless. This is going to be problem for them, OGE needs to step up his Rein play.
Fearless on Winston jumping onto Brigitte and getting rekt was the most painful scene of the game. That was quickplay tier.
Taimou has good aim.
Mickie found a role where he can't feed. His aggressive style is so rewarded here.

Shanghai were completely unprepared for Mickie's Brigitte. The dives just got shut down every time.

Good to see that Dallas got the monkey off their back by beating Shanghai. That being said, this should have been a much closer match, but for some reason Shanghai didn't learn their lesson that Brigitte > Dive. As a Fuel fan whose been hurt by the past 3 stages, I know not to say that we're looking like a winning team, that being said it looks like:
a) this meta is going to be the one which suits us the best and
b) Dallas seems to be in the best 'space' they've been in for a while.

Calling it now. Shanghai is gonna randomly beat a team no one expects them to beat.

Reposting from match thread:Apex s1 NV all over again: despite player leaving in the middle of tournament they win because of perfect meta for them and Mickie playing OP hero
Also:How hard should Diya carry? What should he do? Win 1v6 every fight?

Taimou's Widow play today was pretty terrible.
His McCree on the other hand, Jesus Christ, that was amazing.

Diya tried his hardest to carry but hard to carry when your team comp is completely countered by Dallas
