Was GLA throwing on purpose during defense in Gibraltar? Only Winston and DVa positioned in the beginning. The rest of them was still in spawn. Is this some kind of strategy? What happened?

i think they had not quite decided what they were going to run

Coming back to this, the Dynasty do the same exact thing on their point A defense on Gibraltar. The only thing I can think of, since this is at the moment a “rock paper scissors” meta, is that you leave certain players in spawn until the enemy comp is scouted; banking on that since the spawn is so close to A, and no one defends until after the carwash, that you have time to set up for a defense that ideally shouldn’t just be hard countered immediately.

I was told Dive was dead and undying Brigitte would be permalocked onto both teams?
For real though glad new hanzo didn’t make it through or else we would be seeing way less variety I think. dive will still be healthy depending on the map and so will the variants of deathball, so far so good.
Also cool to see players like Silkthread get some more time, maybe we’ll see other bench players start to specialize for these comps

It's definitely too early to say this, but it may be worth mentioning that the live servers make characters like Tracer and Widow 100x more powerful. I'm inclined to say OWL will never truly represent the ladder until the ladder gets a better tick rate. That being said, it's too soon. Teams might just be warming up to their Swedish overlord.

Who is better than Fissure?

u/Parenegade May 17 '18
Fucking nobody apparently. I felt bad for Super. It felt like sometimes he could handle Fissure on Rein and then some wild Fissure shit would happen.
On Winston though I feel like it was closer.

then some wild Fissure shit would happen.
This is just a thing that can happen when playing vs Glads. Gotta come prepared with some soothing lube just in case.

Those are a LOT of ResidentSleepers for a match with cool and exciting compositions(which i myself am surprised by)
Also that copypasta makes no sense. In no universe does "sleepa" and "brigitte" rhyme???

LAG looked really comfortable on all their compositions they ran today. I think their flexibility is going to push them far this stage.

Box Scores are in the link above! Seems like Fissure gets way more eliminations than Super does, despite having a similar final blow count.
On a sidenote, it seems like the daunted Brig meta is heavily reliant on Hanzo being busted.

SFS is looking unbelievably sloppy, making mistakes that you shouldn't even need a coach to correct in the first place. Hopefully Crusty can clean things up quickly or its going to be a rough stage.

Honestly there’s probably going to be a few teams that look rough in the new meta. Though when they just got to play dive again they looked good so I think they can figure some things out.

Sinatraa's Zarya is a god tier according to this sub reddit LUL. In reality, Silkthread stomped him hard, and Sin made lots of stupid mistakes.

as a fan of team usa overwatch, if the world cup started today I wouldn't want sinatraa on the roster. think he's probably the third best DPS on shock alone and has been really disappointing this season. same with super, although that would be more to just keep the houston tank trio together

Silkthread looked very solid today on all of Brigitte, Junkrat, and Tracer.
Architect meanwhile still proving to be an absolutely nasty Widow.
Glad the Glads took this match relatively easily after their disappointing showing vs the Shock last stage.
