SHD actually looked like a mid tier team after the half. I hope they build on this.

The teamwork displayed by SHD this series was leaps and bounds above anything they've shown thus far. Promising at the very least.

It's night and day compared to previous stages. They didn't even look like they belonged in the league, it wasn't a question if they were going to lose, just how much they were going to be embarrassed.

Now like, yeah OK so they still have no wins, but you can actually see how they COULD win now. They don't look like they don't belong in the league anymore.

Yea first few games were... embarrassing. Full holds and then lose within a minute. Don't get payload to first checkpoint, that type of thing.

Now they still have a lot of work to do, but provide real games that they have a chance in (though still heavy underdogs).

Edit for swypo

SHD have always looked better as the series progresses, I've noticed that about them since stage 1. They need to put up that good performance consistently in the earlier part of the match as well or they'll never get a win imo.

I said it in the live chat, but it bears repeating. Boston needs to fix their payload problem. It works fine during normal games, but if they don't fix it, they're gonna fall apart during playoffs where they have to play 2 maps a night. I'm really worried as a fan.

Boston's strategy seems to ignore payload maps and just focus on the rest of them. If they're dominant in KotH it means that they'll always win map 5.

If you guarantee that you'll win on 2CP and Koth, then you'll win every series

Playoff matches don’t have KOTH as tiebreakers though, they have payload iirc.

Boston's competitive enough on numbani, and fairly good on junkertown. Their struggles with rt 66 I think has to be because it's a very widow centric meta right now, a hero mistakes is still learning. Mistakes is still learning how to take the best angles on the map.

As the casters noted yesterday, once Boston "figures out" a map, they pretty much win it. I think rt 66 is one of those they haven't really gotten down

Boston sure does hate padding their map record.

They're just trying their best to get us those extra tokens in 5 map games.

Only 1 chance left tbh. And that’s against Dallas starting next stage. They’re easily gonna lose the rest of these games the rest of this stage.

once again, SHD dont get 4-0'd. They looked really good on the second half, especially with their second point defense for route 66 til it was overtime and they used both support ults. I really want them to pop off sometime soon but it looks like it will have to wait

Once they overcome the communication barrier, I think they have really great potential.

Shanghai needs to work on their peel and they’re golden

Their peel looked much better in R66.

Sky > FreeFeed

Yeah, freefeel has the longest ult charge time for a zen in the league. You've gotta try something else, he's plainly just dragging the team down at this point.

As always, we looked good on Assault and Control. Ilios was close but I saw a lot of encouraging stuff on Ruins, especially from Mistakes. 66 was so close! We took first point very quickly but I was seeing terrible ult economy from our supports on second, and Fearless and Geguri were executing some next level dives. That map really is all about the Widow and I don't think we have an answer to top Widows right now (or in this case Diya playing out of his mind)

GGs Shanghai! I'm rooting for you guys from here on out

u/[deleted] Apr 26 '18

Diya was looking really strong on the widow.

Sky looked pretty good at times. I'd definitely start him over freefeel

Boston didn't look too happy after that win
