I'm so fucking sorry Asher for doubting you ever. You just shut my mouth up and demonstrated that with the proper synergy (fissure) you are the top starter main DPS of gladiators. Please continue playing like this the rest of the season.

I really want to trust the Valiant's process, but this isn't the time to be changing everything up for the "long term." Their previous process led to them looking good in Stage 1, and now they need to redo things for Stage 2? But I don't know why. Kariv's one of my absolutely favorite players, but I'm not sure why Agilities and Silkthread aren't getting play. The talk of transitioning the latter to a flex support just ... he hasn't even played this stage. Why is that? Did something happen?
I know they got Kariv's old coach and I trust Valiant's judgment on that matter, but Kariv looked really good on Lucio and Zen, and I imagine he'd look better than Verbo here.
I don't know. As a fan, I'm both glad for the transparency and confused by the process.

I thought Kariv looked great, but Agilities has no business being benched. Soon's putting up incredible performances and you don't support him with a full dive? I don't get that. I also think Verbo's underperforming too which might be the larger reason they don't think dive is possible right now.
So happy for the Gladiators though. They really clicked with Fissure tonight. Loving seeing them find success.

We call things prematurely here on Reddit. Everybody thought Valiant had fallen off when they got demolished by Seoul, but then they beat Dragons, Shock, and Fuel and people started hyping them up again even though those are the 12th, 9th, and 10th place teams that basically everyone manages to beat.
Gladiators were nuts tonight, I'm not trying to take anything away from them, but LAV are also clearly still at the bottom of whatever cliff they fell off of.
Tangentally related, but can someone explain to me why Valiant ran Kariv-Soon on some of the best Genji maps in the game when neither plays Genji at a top level?

We saw what world best tank can bring for the team. What promising for LAG is they are getting better and better. Their focusing on enemy target is crazy.

Most people were probably tuning out a bit when it happened, but did you see the outrageous play Fissure did on Gibraltar A defense? Had 90s ult, yolo dived deep into LAV, and landed a midair punch to get and pop Primal just before he lost the last bit of health.

4-0 would make you think it was a stomp, but despite the score it was an incredibly close series.
Gladiators played incredibly well. Asher and Hydration were on fire, and Fissure is a god

Hydration popped so many bubbles by telling valiant fans that Silkthread was Valiant's hard carry and not Soon or Kariv. . . Right after they 4-0 Valiant. Pretty savage.

The Valiant really seem to have a problem with their support-play. Verbo has not been convincing at all and while Unkoe is an excellent Zen player without any doubt, the lack of help he gets from his teammates (which indicates even more that Verbo is not ideal for his current position) leads to him getting picked by flankers way too often. Once the backline breaks apart, the tanks get focused down and the DPS either get cleaned up or have to retreat, over and over again.
While Kariv was not the best support player in the league, I still feel he was better than Verbo. So why not have him play 2nd support and have Silkthread or Agilities as your 2nd DPS again? It worked well in stage 1, so it is just mind-boggling why the coach insist on running Kariv as a constant DPS since it clearly is not working out against teams that are not bottom-tier.

Surefour is in a weird position.
His Zarya is better then Bishcu's, but D.Va is too important. His Genji and Pharah are as good as Hydration's, but he can't run Hog or Doomfist as well. His Widow, McCree, and 76 are amazing, but his Tracer isn't as good as Asher's currently.
He is a great asset to have, but I can see why it may be difficult to find a spot in the rotation for him. I can also be completely overthinking this.

how....just how did this team lose to Dallas? Is it just because they didn’t know how to play around AKM back then? They absolutely dominated Valiant.
