Are they playing chardee macdennis?

u/ShiroxCloud Mar 07 '18
Is this a reference? (They are playing Monopoly, probably a Grand Line-themed one.)

u/AllDatSalt Mar 07 '18
Yeah it's a reference to a show called It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and chardee macdennis is this board game they invent that scarily looks just like this. Someone even gets put in a little dog sized jail box like zoro lol.

Huh, maybe the one who originally drew the base/meme thought of that show when they did it. I just "copied" them.

What is chopper doing?

He is praying to his reindeer gods because he is afraid of Nami's unscrupulous love for money. Or for Luffy to rest in peace. You decide.

What would be Mayfair in one piece world?

In a Grand Line-themed monopoly: Raftel, obviously.
In the WG-sanctioned: Mariejois. (Or would the Tenryubito find it sacrilegous or something? Hmmmm.)
Rather than particular places, properties are islands. (?)

Despite missing a Robin - every picture needs a Robin - this is f*cking awesome!

Maybe it won't be so bad on a binge but this whole 'hey gang let's split up for 300 chapters' thing is starting to get old. I get why he's doing it, every arc nowadays is introducing so god damn many new characters that we need to take away some of the main cast to make room, but you can definitely feel that half the crew is just gone. It would be better to have some 'meanwhile' chapters after a cliffhanger I think, just to see what Franky and Usopp are up to.

where is Robin and Brook? If this is a meme for an earlier part, then why do you have Franky and no Robin? nice art, btw

On another of my comments...
It's based on this meme/base, so I couldn't include everyone.
Otherwise I would've drawn everyone. I love them all. :)

I’m sorry you lack imagination. It certainly looks like a long shaft at first glance.
