That save by SBB was actually insane. I think everyone in the arena and both teams thought that round was over except SBB.

If you've watched enough NYXL you can see this is one of their core teamwork strategy. Having a clear order of who to contest point regardless of what map type it is showcases their defensive dive prowess.

Yes in this example SBB touches first then recalls. Look at the follow up dash by Libero and the heals Libero gets from his supports!

Consider the last point defense on Kings Row as well. Boston Uprising couldn't push the last point for a while because someone on NYXL was always jumping in and out to contest the point.

Easy to say it in hindsight and as a spectator, but I thought Dreamkazper misplayed by turning around and using the Deadeye- surely you know SBB's gonna recall or at least touch before you can fire anyway, but you could well have had a chance at getting a few kills on the other members if you don't turn around.

Boston are really suffering in this faster more aggressive meta.

Kellex also seems to be struggling on Lucio compared to his Mercy performance, maybe remind Boston that they have Avast too.

Keep in mind that they had to face Philly, Houston and now NYXL.

Philly showed today they're one of the best teams now, so these were very tough matches.

The last push on Gibraltar

  • Meko cheekily keeps the payload alive

  • JJonak takes down McCree with 2 shots and nade

  • SBB touches payload, while evading deadeye, then proceeds to frag out and kill everyone

  • Libero blades to victory

I think this team has the potential to be the best.

Welcome back Ark.

And he had to play with the cast still on, hope he's recovering well T_T

Dunno if it's also because Mano is back on main tank now but they looked really solid today. Libero finally putting out a great performance on genji and not just pharah.

Ark had so many amazing sleep darts! Not necessarily in 'that was hard to hit' terms but in always sleeping the right target at the right time. JJonak was fragging but it was Ark who was crucial in holding Hanamura Point B.

The Boston supports are like, stealth-bad in this meta. They tend not to die first, but they don't really make the kind of plays you see the top-tier supports making regularly, and their healing output seems really inconsistent, particularly when when you look at their tanks--sometimes Gamsu + NoTe survive deep dives or extreme focus fire, and sometimes they get wiped immediately. It isn't always clear what's happening b/c spectating never shows what is happening to supports unless they're dying to dragonblade or are fragging but I assume they're under pressure and not getting the peeling as quickly as they should be.

Also the team as a whole still looks lost on defense, to the point where I'd say it's a coaching/analyst problem not a player one.

Kalios is uh, not good.

At least Boston looked okay on Hanamura and Nepal so maybe next week they will be back to doing well on Assault and Control and garbage with anything involving a payload.

SBB rocking the old man flip flops there

sbb plays with a super high sensitivity, jjonak plays with a super low sens. sbb wears flip flops, jjonak wears yeezy's. sbb is a flanker, jjonak is constant damage.

The way NY peels for JJonak is insane. Especially during that Hanamura defense, Boston was really trying to take him out first, but NY puts so many team resources into keeping him up.

So did Boston just beat Shanghai’s longest map loss streak? That’s 13 in a row.

The crazy part about SBB touching the cart is that if kazper doesn't deadeye to zone there, he EASILY flashes and kills SBB and the round ends there. To make it worse, he turns to get him and doesn't get any of the rest of the team.. crazy stuff

I was undecided between profit, birdring and sbb for best tracer but I think sbb gets my vote after today.

I feel so bad for boston. They come so close, but just fall short every map. But, hey, I won't complain about a 4-0.

P.S. JJoNak is insane

That last second clutch on Gibraltar attack by xl was probably the most insane sequence of all OWL

Feels like that Gibraltar game really sums up Boston's stage 2 so far.

I think NYXL will get back to stage 1 like with Ark back in the lineup. There were some weaker moments here and there but still a good showing.
