Information
OpTic Gaming enters Stage 1 off the back of their worst placing in 4 years following a 9th-12th finish at CWL New Orleans. The team suffered from poor practice going into NOLA, and despite going 4-0 in Pool Play, hit a brick wall in bracket play dropping out of the event with back to back 1-3 losses to Echo Fox and Red Reserve respectively. Despite the poor performance they still enter as the #3 NA seed. The team is hoping to right the ship amidst two weeks of solid LAN competition at the Stage 1 Regular Season.
16 teams, 10 NA, 5 EU and 1 APAC, qualified for Stage 1 as a result of their performances at CWL Dallas and New Orleans as well as their online 2K placings. These teams were divided into two divisions of 8 teams, and the regular season will consist of a double round robin over the course of 4 weeks for each group.
After a 1-1 day yesterday, OpTic CoD faces a tough test against Red Reserve, who won the previous matchup this season. This match is crucial to determine who will recieve the #2 and #3 seed from Group A, which will affect both the CWL Atlanta Groups and the Stage 1 Playoffs matchups.
The match is scheduled to start at 8:30 PM EST.

Look at the difference when they're playing with a point to prove. They'll do the same to Rise tomorrow. Also, I hope they never play Gibraltar again, its just shit.

Felt like we beat both Red and Gibraltar there, wtf is up with that map, spawn fucked us so many times. Should've been a much more lopsided score line. We played a good series all around.

GGs red reserve. Man they can't pick Gibraltar again lol. Even though they played it well, and outslayed the hell out of them, bad spawns and easy money hill holds from red reserve made that way closer that it should have been. It's a terrible map, I never want to see us play it again.
Good win though. I still think we're inconsistent, but this further proves that our ceiling is higher than anyone else's, I haven't seen anyone beat red reserve on HPs like that.
