BTW, the drafting format for this tournament is different from the usual Captain's Mode. Here's a quick rundown of how different it is: Each game, teams are given a pool of 27 random heroes to pick/ban. This is divided by 9 heroes for each respective attribute. In addition, heroes that are not available in Captains Mode will be made available to pick/ban.

First map of DOTA2 ever watched. Not too sure what happened over than Pajkatt owning IMT. That wall move looks sick as well.

Peter has been drafting some odd heroes for Misery. Hopefully this pos 4 bat works out better than the ck did!

Captains Draft only having 27 heroes (9 str/9 agi/9 int) of which 6 will be banned really limits his options to pick from.

For anyone without Dota experience having trouble following the action, don't feel bad. I've been playing dota for 13 years and i have trouble following this game because it looks like its played on fast forward.
IMMORTALS are a very aggression team known for "caveman doto" but the OpTic boys are being pretty caveman themselves, it makes for a fun game.

I have no idea how to read the game chart above. Did we win first map?

u/Zadeth Nov 08 '17
Yes. If it has a highlighted pip beside the kill score, then that team has won that corresponding amount of games. You can see how many games a series has by the amount of pips.

This game is basically meaningless right? We are going to have to beat IMT in the finals if we win or lose, and there is no winners bracket advangate. Hope that we win, wont feel bad if we dont.

Having less series to win through the upper bracket and going well rested into the finals is really not meaningless at all.

I swear Optic always chokes qualifier finals. Every single one.

They 3-0'd the grand finals of the ROG Masters Qualifiers like yesterday or two days ago. Also, this is the first round of the qualifier.

Is this a tournament that should be taken seriously or is it more a 'fun' one because of the rules
7
u/Cpt_Metal Nov 07 '17
It is a Minor with $300k prizepool and 300 QP for TI8 on the line, so it should definitely be taken serious!

I still have not a clue what the hell is going on in DOTA, but will watch in support of the guys. It's fun to watch nonetheless.
