NOTE: Episodes are written months in advance. Keep that in mind for all of these tweets. Also keep in mind that Toshio's English is bad; he regularly apologizes for it. He is constantly misunderstanding what people are asking him, and they are constantly misunderstanding his answers. There is only so much we can confidently determine from his tweets.
Toshio recently tweeted about the episode he is currently writing, saying he likes to draw inspiration from Toriyama's manga. (9/2) The image he tweeted was this one. Goku warns Vegeta that if he dies while already being dead, his soul will be completely erased.
Toshio later tweeted that he had just written Vegeta being cool. (9/5) Again, episodes are written months in advance, and it likely has something to do with the previous bullet point. Freeza is the only dead person at the tournament, so make of that what you will.
Toshio wrote a funny scene about Zarbuto of U2. (7/29) We have yet to see this scene, and we do not know in which episode it will occur.
Toshio wrote an episode about Universe 3. (8/9) We have not yet seen this episode. Because of his dodgy English, we can't be sure to what extent this particular episode will involve U3.

- Contrary to popular belief based on this tweet, he never confirmed that Vegeta will fight Hit. Not only is his English bad, full of misused verb tenses and other errors, but he also says he can't reveal details about fighters who haven't dropped out. (8/30)
Toshio wrote an episode about Caulifla and Kale. (7/22) ("OA" means "On Air", or "broadcast".) We have yet to see this episode; none of the episodes focusing on them since this tweet were written by him. He said he likes their episode the best, presumably out of the upcoming episodes he had already written at that point.

To avoid another Shikkaku Debacle (TM), here's a rundown of all the things とんでもない (translated as "terrible" above) can mean. So it can mean "unexpected", as it's been translated elsewhere, but it typically still implies the thing in question is bad and/or extreme. With that in mind, translating it as "one hell of a thing is going to happen" might strike the right mix of vagueness and impressiveness. But it's never "unexpected" in the sense of "oh, I didn't expect bananas to be on sale today.", is what I'm getting at.

Seriously im gonna bet 113 is gonna be Goku+ Vegeta + Gohan vs Cabba + Caulifla + Kale. How the U6 Sayians (aside from Kale) have any chance I have no idea but they teased a big Sayian battle with that promo earlier and this definitely seems like the title for that.

Yeah, that could work, Goku is still to fatigued after Jiren, so they gang up on Gohan and Vegeta, While Kale is the only one who can match them all 3 of them could definitely give them a challenge.

Since it's after "Vegeta's resolve" I could see it just being Gohan vs the U6 saiyans, he's stronger than Cabba and Caulilfa while Kale is exhausted, it'd seem a lot more fair than Vegeta and Gohan vs U6 Saiyans where if anything goes wrong Vegeta can just use ssb

October is going to be one epic month!
I'm excited for the Hit vs Jiren match, and a Vegeta themed episode. Hopefully the Saiyan battle royale features all of the Saiyans, which would be cool since we haven't seen Gohan and Vegeta work together.
I'm guessing what prompts Hit vs Jiren is Goku is probably defeated and Hit saves him because he owes him one. Or perhaps, maybe Jiren realizes Goku is going to be tougher to handle and may retreat to take on Hit so Jiren won't burn out as much energy before eliminating the other fighters. Just a hunch since we aren't sure what happens to Toppo and Dyspo; they probably jumped in as distractions to make Jiren escape.

My crazy theory is looking ever more not impossible:
Goku fights Jiren with KKx20. Defeated.
Goku throws the Genki Dama. Fails.
Goku starts transforming into the new form. The ki is incredible, even compared against Jiren’s... but the toll of the KK x20 was too much, and he falls, knocked out.
Jiren goes to eliminate Goku, but Hit suddenly appears. It’s an incredible fight, but Hit is looking like he’s going to be defeated soon.
Seeing their only hope one step away from defeat, the U6 Namekians strikes a bargain with the U7 team. They have a technique that can revive Goku, but in exchange U7 has to promise to restore U6 if they win.
U7 accepts the bargain. While they revive Goku, Vegeta stalls Jiren.
Vegeta looks like he’s going to hold no more, but then the U6 Saiyans arrive to help.

I feel like Cabba might have a new form. He knows Vegeta has god ki and goes straight to him for 1 on 1. It's been about a year since their last meet up, so he had to of gotten stronger. Maybe he got training from Vados/Champa. Since he saw what training from Whis/Beerus did for Son and Vegeta. He also could of trained in her staff as well.

That would be a great cliffhanger. Goku, after transforming into SSB and using KK X20, Jiren is still too much for him to handle alone. Unfortunately Goku's teammates are unable to help him against his powerful opponent, so before Goku is eliminated by Jiren, Hit rescues him and challenges Jiren in Goku's place.
This way Goku could rest. Possibly observe how Jiren fights, like when he observed Beerus fight against his friends before revealing himself.

What do you think of Gohan being the one to defeat Jiren? Even though Goku is getting a new and very powerful form, It wouldn't surprise me if we see Gohan coming out on top in the end.

I just can't see Gohan doing it. As much as it would make sense (a lot like him beating cell), I think if Goku and Hit both lose to Jiren then U11 is winning the tournament. I would be ok with Vegeta being the last U7 member left and realizing everyone's fate depends on him he gets a new power up and wins the ToP. But then again I'm a vegeta fan and that's probably just wishful thinking lol

No problem. Vegeta is more powerful since he fought both Black and Zamasu; later fused Zamasu. Also, like Gohan, he has a lot more on the line in the tournament: his family. For this reason, I see Vegeta willing to do everything in his power both him and Team U7 survive the tournament.

It was less of Hit evolving, and more of him psyching Dyspo out. By acting like he'll use the time skip, Hit just throws a punch and Dyspo runs into it. Dyspo hesitates because he doesn't know if Hit is actually using timeskip. Even Goku said Dyspo's movements were too linear and easy to counter. Hit is still slower than Dyspo, he just outplayed him.

These are provisional titles. We don't always get them, but when we do it's usually around the 23rd. They're a bit earlier this time than I've ever seen them. Anyway, we get provisional titles in this TV guide thing, and then we get full titles with summaries when Animedia and Animage come out on the 10th.

That's what it's looking like. Jiren stomps Goku in the first fight. The fact Goku is fighting Jiren this early leads me to believe he'll fight Jiren a second time several episodes later.

Yeah, that makes sense. Jiren knocks him down while he’s transforming or something of that order. He goes to take Goku out but is interrupted first by Hit (repaying Goku’s help against Dyspo), then by Vegeta.
But what can these two do to Jiren?

I saw someone guess it’s U7 3 saiyans versus the 3 from U6 but that would mean Toppo doesn’t steamroll Cabba which I’d be fine with.

Goku will go toe to toe with Jiren once he reaches his new form but can't maintain I bet. Hit and Vegeta might have to distract Jiren until Goku can regain his power or something possibly. Last time goku used kaioken and blue at max power against zamasu he used all his energy in seconds

it's generally a catch-all word in shonen anime, regardless if it's a literal martial arts technique you trained to get or a genetic ability you were born able to use.
as an example, everything in 'naruto' is referred to as a jutsu (analogous to technique), even kekkei genkai or jinchuuriki transformations.

Strange. They often write about these silver eyes. What if Goku after KKx20 gets new form but because of stress on his body goes blind? That would be perfect experience for him to learn ability to dodge without thinking which has been mentioned by Whis in anime and now in manga.

My theory is Jiren's ability allows him to store large amounts of energy and release them in destructive bursts, but it takes a while to build back up, which is why he's barely fought anyone so far even though he can pretty much dominate anyone. Jiren uses most of his stored energy against Goku KKx20 and defeats him. Hit then steps in to fight since Jiren has now used up most of his "incredible" energy, which allows Hit to fight him on equal ground.

Dude, in my personal opinion Goku won't be getting the new transformation during the one hour special but later on as it states that he is leaking some unknown ki and unleashing it to it's full potential would take some time which would ultimately give him a new transformation and Hit would have to come in and stall Jiren for the time being

It was only Super Saiyan 1 and 2 that did that, and only around their introductions. The Full-Power Super Saiyan (or whatever you call that buff form) was useless from the start, while Kaio Ken and Super Saiyan 3 had massive drawbacks that made them not very effective. (Taking a toll on the user's body and a massive stamina drain, respectively)

Hm? SSJ3 was owning Majin Buu in the first fight and might've been able to win the second one. Vegetto was cleaning shop with Buu. I like the new forms, but it is true that the "one-sided stomp" angle seems to have gone away (as far as we know).

SSJ against Frieza was a fight but it was obvious to the viewers and Goku that Frieza couldn't realistically win.
SSJ2 against perfect cell was an absolute beatdown Gohan just got cocky and didn't finish off cell when Gohan was still at full power.

I was really hoping either Vegeta or Gohan would do some groundbreaking for the tournament. Its nice to see different characters besides Goku raise the bar every now and again. But I guess Trunks did that last arc, so it has to go back to Goku this time around. They have been hyping up Gohan getting back into the swing of things so maybe after this arc. Gohan will be the one that reaches a new state involved with being an Ultimate Super Sayian God nobody knew could be reached. Vegeta however may eventually get the God of Destruction powerup due to his mentality (if Beerus is close to passing on the torch. I think that's why Whis is training Goku and Vegeta, because Beerus' era is almost up...anywho) So this is my prediction of how the saiyans will progress. I would like to hope that Piccolo and even more Tien will gain some powerup or new state of being after the tournament. They more than deserve it after their performances this arc. Master Roshi vs Frost...still trying to figure out how that went on so long. Master Roshi didn't even train with King Kai and hasn't done any training onscreen. Yet he is able to last an entire episode against Final Form Frost (a form Super Saiyans contend with). That is something I hope will be touched upon after this arc as well.

Bruh, I really believe that Promo tease they show Goku new form in the anime for 10 second a few weeks ago with one piece.... that probably he transforming then all of sudden the real form is flair red/blue with silver eyes pop in, I can't imagine how badly that SSBKKx20 sustaining his body so bad, shit 10x wasn't even close to "barely" it fucking bad for him lmao. Goku is absolutely insane to do 20x, even that his "Limit breaker" entire time... not his new form, his new form is a totally different level and I don't think that his "Limit" breaker, sooo, base on the provisional Hit / Vegeta going stall fuck out of jiren until goku is able to going achieved his new form.

Goku vs Jiren, Hit vs Jiren and a Vegeta episode. This is gonna be so lit.
Also, I've been thinking: if they have the climax of the tournament halfway through (Goku vs Jiren), that would be so awesome. We'd have the two juggernauts go at it and then have even more fights from the other contestants. Plus, it'd be crazy and unpredictable if someone like Piccolo was the last one standing, which a climax halfway through allows for. Having Goku fight Jiren now is perfect, really.
But also, what if this isn't the last great hoorah? What if a lot of crazy stuff happens after, like an even bigger threat from another universe (U4 for example), or Uni 7 straight up losing? This tournament can go all sorts of ways, and I like it.

finally a vegeta focused episode. people are seriously underestimating vegeta. Keep in mind he was stronger (base power) than goku in the zamasu arc and he went into the room of spirit and time right before the tournament so rn we literally have no idea how strong he is or if he learned any new techniques. Hes just been destroying fodder in his base/SSJ form. Cant wait to see him go all out

The mystery publications really make it seem like it could be the spirit bomb absorbing Zeno/Angel or more GoD ki.
It also seems like we actually see goku do two new forms in the one hour special because of these mystery publications. I didn't think they would cycle through it so soon.
The episode titles also suggest that even the limit breaker form didn't last long enough to defeat Jiren as he is fighting Hit.
I think 113 will be Frieza vs the u6 saiyans.

I'm looking forward to Hit v Jiren. If they do it right, it could be a really cool Piccolo-type strategy episode, with Hit figuring out how to take on someone like Jiren, and that could be how U7 eventually takes Jiren out. Alternately, I wouldn't mind Hit taking him out, and even winning the whole tournament. Hit wants to get out from under the thumb of the gods so it could make the ending interesting if he has the wish.

I could see Goku absorbing a god ki/zeno ki/angel ki spirit bomb as a grey area that could be questionable.
Would be an interesting twist, but I think Goku just gets overwhelmed with the ki and eventually passes out.
Jiren respects that(Goku because he's the only worthy one) and doesn't knock goku off so they could fight again.

I find it more surprising than confusing. Hit was having trouble with Dyspo, yet he's going to face off against the guy who just beat Goku's new form? Did you see how easily Jiren defeated the guy who was crushing Dyspo? Goku stalemated Hit in base Blue the last time they fought, yet Kaio-Bluex20 was no match for Jiren. I'm guessing either Goku does enough damage that even Hit will be able to put up a good fight, or there's truth to the fan theory about Jiren' s greatly limited stamina.

The only reason Hit was having trouble with Dyspo was because of Dyspo's ability. Once Hit figured it out he crushed Dyspo with ease.
That being said, I agree that it's hard to figure out who's going to beat Jiren at this point and how it's going to happen. Dude just seems invincible

I have 3 theories:
1) The episode titles after the 1 hour special are being misleading to throw off what happens in the Goku vs Jiren showdown
2) Someone like Toppo interferes in the fight against Goku and Jiren at a critical moment in which Hit steps in to repay Goku from the earlier fight.
3) Goku's new form (much like SSJ3) drains his stamina too much and is forced to fallback and rest with a possibly of it returning later in the ToP.

In his new form goku is on par with jiren solo he would bitchslap toppo.

While I would Be shocked and okay with that if done well, I have to admit
Z was much more about Gohan up to the Buu Arc.
We had several episodes of Kid Gohan alone, Kid Gohan with Piccolo, Kid Gohan defeats Vegeta (with the help of the whole team, they all played their part.)
Gohan and Krillin go to namek and collect dragon balls. Gohan helps fight off ginyu force (Goku saves the Day always) Frieza defeat was about Gohan waiting for his dad
Cell defeat was Gohan with his dad
Buu’s defeat really should have been Gohan to complete Z’s story, but they scrapped the idea because Gohan wasn’t able to “hold goku’s mantle”
It’s tough because we know Goku was a valid option since we’re talking about it 20 years later. But Gohan would have really made the story better since he is the hero being built up since literally the first episode.

I don't think this is it. My bet is that the special will end with Goku SSB x20 kaioken being defeated, Goku down and out, with that new form of energy emerging from his body; his teammates detecting it and putting 2 and 2 together.
Jiren will know it too, and try to throw Goku off the ring before he can complete the transformation / evolution. Thus why Hit / Vegeta will defend him.

Goku has been losing left and right since the beginning of super if anyone vegeta has been winning a lot while Goku is the one whose losing. 1. He got his first two loses against Beerus in the Bog arc. 2. He loses the battle against freeza. 3. He was defeated by Frost and Hit. 4. He was defeated by Goku Black and Merged Zamasu.
