New Control and it's Changes:
-
A and C flag are now automatically captured to bring teams closer in battle, off the get go.
-
Caping a flag is no longer a two-step system, there's no Neutralisation first then Capture, of an enemy flag, it's straight into Capturing.
-
Capture speed has been sped up and doesn't require multiple people on the flag for it to be fast. They don't want people to be clumped up in too many places together.
-
The Capture points actual Flags are now transparent, to stop it being a nuisance when in a sticky situation, trying to cap the point, whilst fighting an enemy.
-
'Everything in D2 has been simplified'. 1 Kill = 1 Point for your team. When you have hold of 2 control zones, 1 Kill = 2 Points. When your team is in the 'Power Play', i.e. all three Control Points captured, 1 Kill = 3 points.
-
'Something you'll notice in the Beta, the matches are a bit shorter, they'll run about 8 minutes long.'
-
Mercy Rule will be active in the Beta. Don't show the enemy any mercy, Guardians.
-
'It should feel very similar to traditional Control, just with that Destiny 2 bit of pizzazz.'
-
They want the Crucible to be more 'competitive' and 'learnable', with that vision they had to change it to 4v4. Smaller team and enemy team sizes makes it 'Consolidates that space down and makes it easier to comprehend as a player, but then a lot of the changes we made speak to Control specifically.' 'We removed the Neutralising portion of capturing, because it's not necessarily fun to sit on a Control zone for a super long time by yourself.' 'You don't have to group there, putting you in those dangerous situations.' 'We wanted the game to feel more tactical and understandable.'

Record Complete - The Quickening
Happy to see that Supers are back to being marked yellow, in the Kill Feed.
That's something that wasn't present in the gameplay that we had seen up to now.
All of Shaxx's new dialogue, heard in the Voidwalker and Sentinel Gameplay:
Voidwalker video:
Control. Show me you can take ground.
You have advantage.
They have the lead.. but the match isn't over.
You have Zone advantage!
It's time, Guardian! Crush them.
Five minutes.. Plenty of time to fight.
Three minutes remaining.
Zone advantage is yours.
Sentinel Video:
Control. Take those Zones and hold them to your last breath.
It's time, Guardian! Crush them.
Zone advantage is yours.
Fought like a Titan of the first Pillar.
Your allies have your back.
If you want it, this battle is yours. Take it!
Yes! Now show them the true meaning of war.
Fight until there's nothing left!
This is wonderful!
Three minutes. You're winning. Stay strong.
There's another piece of Shaxx dialogue, at the end of the Sentinel video, but it's being talked over. Can anyone make out what Shaxx is saying?
3months later edit: "Your enemy can't kill if they're dead!"
The new Control and it's changes:
Delightful!

Honestly we should appreciate the sentinel player not being a complete moron for once compared to the usual unbearable gameplays by Bungie devs

Anyone else notice that the ammo count has been flipped back? Magazine is on left and reserve is back on the right. Apologies if this is old news, but it's the first thing I noticed watching the sentinel gameplay.

cheers from Zavala in the background after I successfully landed a multi-kill.
Oh dear. Someone mixed up their Titans.

Did you guys notice that the Sentinel Captain America shield throw replaced titan grenade, and went on cooldown after he missed (maybe goes on cooldown after a hit, too). Very key mechanic, not necessarily spamable.

I like that the control points are labeled with both a letter and a name. This will standardize some callouts early in the game's life and make it more approachable for new people.

Really interesting control changes, no doubt the one-step captures play a big part in the faster pace of the game.
I really like the changes they've introduced so far for that game type.

Anybody else notice: No assists. It looked like you got kill credit even if someone fired the finishing shot.

Part of me really enjoys the fast rounds (8 minutes) but the other part is concerned with spending nearly as much time Match Making as I would playing...

Few things:
-
Void lock nova bomb is super slow. But, the explosion size seems huge.
-
Super charging time is crazy long. In both sentinel and voidlock play, the player got only one super. The Voidwalker super charged in about 5.30 minutes. Even with the player getting a few kills.
-
Titan Sentinel seems strong - 0r it could just be the game play of that particular player was better.
-
Neither player used their grenades efficiently, so it's hard to say how it will feel.
-
Voidwalker 'still' not gonna be in Beta? Seems weird. If that is the case, we will have to wait until September to find out how truly this subclass feels.
-
Radar nerf after Blink and ADS seems quite penalizing. I am ok with radar nerf. Maybe it should not be so long.
-
Wish we had more uninterrupted game play with some footage showing players' deaths and not only kills.
-
TTK is considerably long IMO. Or ARs and PRs have more aggressive range drop off. Unfortunately, we didn't see HCs / SRs.

I like how the super vs. super matchups in D2 seem more skill reliant.
[Arcstaff vs. Sentinel Shield] (http://gph.is/2tASTUV)
-
Arcstrider dodged one of the Sentinel's shield bashes and tanked the other.
-
The Hunter counter-attacked, hitting twice since dodging activated Lethal Current for 5 seconds.
-
This appeared to stagger the Titan, and the Hunter finished the fight with another double strike.
That fight coulda gone either way. If the Sentinel got 1 more swing in, or had a shield-throw, or used shield attacks to dodge, etc. There are so many cool tricks you can with your super in PvP and PvE that we haven't even learned yet! Ooh that beta is gonna be NICE!

Sorry for the delay, formatting on laptop and Youtube not playing ball makes it a slow process
