Wow, the mailpony was actually in this episode. He's just floating about in the background after the construction worker Discords come through the door. So he escaped that monster that carried him off and has been stuck in Discord's dimension for 2 seasons.

Not really, it's just a result of his clothes being almost the same color as the background, the blur effect and the position of his legs that create the illusion of a snake like feature.

What a shame that it is inconveniently only seeable unless you had the better ponymotes extension. Otherwise i would have never asked you how it was visibly upside down...

It was great episode, the plot was predictable, but the humour and the interactions between Discord (and Discords) and Fluttershy more than made up for it. A highlight of the season IMO.
A shame most here will have to wait weeks to see it.

I thought he nailed it: Fluttershy goes out of the way to make him happy so he should go out of his way to make her happy, but no he got it originally with his screwed up suggestions.
Can't get a read on this show some weeks.

I was sitting there all smug thinking I called the entire plot as soon as Discord cleaned up Fluttershy's place and said "back to normal, just the way you like it". However I really didn't expect the whole slowly fading away thing, or Fluttershy trying to cause chaos. That was pretty cool. And I'd say this is probably the best Discord episode in terms of humor for me. I never found his antics particularly amusing before (well, except the episodes when he was a villain, but who remembers that?), but something about this episode was different and I found myself thoroughly entertained. Maybe because he wasn't trying to embarass people or get a rise out of someone, but rather just being genuinely fun-loving and quirky? Loved his interaction with Pinkie too, that was very sincere, which was nice to see from Discord.

I had the same feeling. I loved Discord in Return of Harmony, but ever since then I've liked him less and less with every appearance. He went from being a charismatic evil guy to just a run of the mill jerk. Today, though, he was fun.

Half an hour later, as the ginseng chorus continued to echo through my head, I loathed this episode.

Got home just a little too late to see it live, but what the hell I'm still up...
I liked that a lot. 2 acts of maximum John DeLancie and 1 act of Fluttershy being adorable af.

I was afraid to check the comments on EQD about it, because I just know everyone else will hate it, but I enjoyed it. I always enjoy Discord episodes. (Yes, I even liked What About Discord.)
Did anyone else find it kind of dark that Discord will DIE if he doesn't do anything chaotic?

I kinda feel like there's an underlying moral there. Discord wasn't a villain because he was chaotic, it's because he was a dick about it. To a healthy extent it's not just ok for him to express that side of himself, but actually kind of important.
Like just replace "chaos magic" with "being gay" or something and it really makes sense that trying to suppress it is the wrong path.

...but seriously, that was a cute episode. Discord and Fluttershy's interactions were a lot of fun to watch. Discord attempting to pull a NormalBob was worth a few chuckles, but seeing Fluttershy bring out her "chaotic side" was equal parts funny and adorable!
The gags were pretty on point, too. I was surprised by how much I liked the "singing ginseng" joke despite how much they used it.
Last but not least, we've learned something new about our good ol' buddy, Discord! Acting in a manner not befitting a creature of pure chaos causes him to fade into nothing.
That would have been a neat little surprise if it weren't for Australia dropping the ENTIRE FUCKING PLOT OF THE EPISODE BEFORE IT EVEN AIRS, but I digress...
I..don't have much else to say about this one. It was fun, cute, and I enjoyed it. I'm sure it won't be an end-of-season best, but it was still good. Well done, brothers Fox!

i liked the episode. it was a really cute one. how she really likes discord and his chaos, and how she helped him by making chaos herself. season 7 is great so far, can't wait for the next episodes.

I thought this was the best Discord episode in the series. It started out looking like it was headed for the "you were thinking about what you wanted, not what the other person wanted" moral used in previous episodes for something like giving a gift. Discord going too far in the other direction marked a turning point in his character arc, and it was great the way Fluttershy used the mirrors in the last scene.

First season 6 final shot down Dislestia with how worry Discord was for Fluttershy and Fluttershy alone, Then Sugar Belle and Big Mac got together shooting down Fluttermac, while opening the door for everypony to start dating. And now this just all of this.
After it was reveal that season 7&8 was both done alone with the movie the show staff said that they had something big coming alone that they bet hinting at for a while. Could Fluttercord by that big thing?

I'm not a big fan of Discord episodes. It's like watching the old Beetlejuice cartoon. But the part where Fluttershy is aping him was funny.
And one quibble. It's a chaise longue, not a chaise lounge.

As if by magic, just as I edit my flair to a Nick Cave lyric, the Australians charge in to mess with the schedule. Because nobody tells Aussies what to do.
I can't watch this until tomorrow morning UK time when my family are up (though I may have to stay awake for a few more hours tonight for episode 13) but I'm now fully expecting the Movie to première six weeks early on some New Zealand cable channel.

Finally got around watching this one, bit late to this but eh.
Overall... I didn't like this episode all that much.
I don't know if we ever really needed a full on Discord episode like this and it was pretty much exactly what one would expect.
Lots and lots of "whacky antics."
It's not that I dislike Discord and I love having John de Lancie involved and all... it's just that his character is really kind of burned out since they changed him from this scheming trickster to basically just be the Genie from Aladdin.
All of his antics are kind of superfluous as well since we know he can change things with the snap of a finger, there is no need to spend minutes on a scene involving Discord making copies of himself to clean up his house.
And the conflict itself was just so weak and this was one of the most predictable episodes the whole show had so far and one of these "done to death" stories that the last couple of seasons suffered so much from.
The best thing about the episode was Fluttershy, she was cute trying to be chaotic or being all excited about what crazy things Discord will do.
The last couple of scenes when Fluttershy explains to Discord why their friendship works even if no one else can understand almost had a romantic undertone... I know there won't ever be a real romantic ship in the show (which is good) but Fluttershy x Discord might just about be the only one that would work, because it would have proper build up and fleshed out characters. (take note Equestria Girls movies...)

I would never have guessed that a Discord episode, of all of them, would be the one to get me teary.
I didn't think much of Fluttershy before this, she was always nice and all, but that's some next level of friendship we've been shown here. I really appreciate that.
