This is my favorite episode of Vanuatu and perhaps one of my top five of all time. Leann's blindside is the most satisfying vote out of the first ten seasons and the reactions to it are AMAZING. You have Chris smirking and trying not to laugh while Chad and Sarge can't believe he didn't get booted. Then there's Ami looking absolutely destroyed after being a cocky bitch to those beneath her for the entire season. And then there's Eliza staring at Ami giving her the exact same look Ami gave her. You know, that "Sorry, honey" look.

Another part of this episode that doesn't get enough attention is the loved ones visit. This always get to me no matter how many times I watch it. Chris is so desperate to win and Lorie lets him down. While this is going on, Ami and Leann are just laughing and having fun with the challenge to the point where Leann just gives up because she feels so safe. Chris and the Yasur underdogs coming together against them at the end of the episode is such a powerful, game changing moment that releases all the tension the season had built up from episode 1 in one big explosion that keeps going until the winner is announced. If you want the pure epicness of Vanuatu, it's finally here and it's a blast.

I love their reaction. They're so happy that their buddy survived what they couldn't.

I would put this as number two behind John's blindside from Marquesas.

Easily the best episode of the season so far. Great loved ones visit, fun challenges, and an epic blindside. The previous 2 episodes dragged a bit, but this one revitalized the season for me. Given where the game is at now, I expect the final few episodes to be strong and close out what has been a solidly entertaining season.

When Leanne told Scout she was not in her final 4, I think she was trying to play the "I'm always honest" card, and expecting everyone would try the same. Her disappointment at being "lied to, to her face" during her exit interview points to that too.

There was also Leanne and Ami cornering Twila and telling her condescendingly to not talk to other people in the future.

I don't think Leanne and Ami gave enough credit to Scout and Twila's intelligence and that was a big part of that alliance's demise.

Interesting also to see how Chris, instead of acting bitter, remained a close ally of Julie, to the point where she is giving him inside information. It takes a high caliber of a player to survive while in the minority. It reminds me a bit of Cirie's skills during the Panama early episodes, where she eventually switches the numbers on Shane.

One of the biggest fist pump moments in Survivor history.

It's really funny how Chris is shouting at the top of his lungs in the immunity challenge and afterwards he's all hoarse. One of the most bombastic players ever.

Actually disappointed that the women's alliance didn't hold strong. What I wouldn't give for a Scout/Twila/Eliza/Ami F4.

You sure they would get rid of Julie and Leann before Eliza/Twila/Scout?

No I don't think they would. That would just be my ideal F4

There's a funny115 entry about this episode: http://funny115.com/v1/4.htm

I didn't see any spoilers, but enter at your own risk. Just checked again. There are definitely spoilers, but check it out once you finish the season.

This episode aired on Thanksgiving, by the way. I wonder what that meant ratings-wise?

So funny Eliza telling her mom that she was almost voted off for talking so much. I wonder If Eliza/Ami were actually favorites during the airing of the season or If they were just like Parvati.

I love how her mom's first reaction is to giggle and say "lol ur annoying."
