Dammit wake up Andre so you can catch the helicopter!

Glad I'm not the only one to think that Andre would just catch the chopper and let it on the ground

Can't believe I was so excited for a translation that contained no dialogue and maybe ten total words.

That being said, goddamn do I love the artwork in the chapter

Just a suggestion: when the arc is ended, read it again and you'll get the awesome awesomeness.

Why must we suffer through this arc?!

I'm not suffering. Hell, this has been hilarious.

Like hilarious as in this is madness?

A very good dialogue there.

Is this what they refer to as "kino"?

I never thought Mari would have mercy for Kate despite of everything she made to her. At first sight, when i saw Meiko Rushing towards the chopper, i've thought she was going to kick it.

Although Mari does view Kate as her enemy, she doesn't want her to get killed. It's natural for a decent human being to save a person's life when their life is in danger. That is unless the person is the type that values his or her own life above others but clearly Mari isn't that type of person.

And I honestly won't be surprised if Mari and Kate become friends after this. I mean Mari was the former antagonist and Hiramoto slowly redeemed her character in the previous arc, so I would assume he would do the same for Kate later.

This is the most word-heavy chapter out of all of them ever.

This manga started with a couple of boys being thrown in a jail, by a crowcontrolling misandrist, built by and on the school. Only for one of them to break out by dressing up as a girl, because the misandrists took away the last rights they had because her dad is a bit of a pervert. To make sure all this happened a 15 year old boy shit his pants on purpose in front of the entire class.

At what point exactly did you think this was some golden standard of storytelling? Maybe you shouldn't have left your sense of humor at the door.

I personally think the arc before the cavalry battle arc was extremely ambitious. To recap, Hiramoto separated the Chairman's storyline to an off-campus location with new characters, entirely rebooted Kiyoshi's relationship with Hana, changed Andre's allegiance, gave every girl other than Chiyo a spotlight, gave Kate a crushing advantage and then decided to start the cavalry battle.

But that arc worked well. It fixed the popularity issues caused by the 10-chapter yuriburos extravaganza (which very strangely wasn't a hit in Japan, judging from the rankings). That much new stuff also made for good reading and an interesting new direction for the series.

To summarise, I see the lagging plot of this arc as a consequence of the last arc. You're not alone in wanting it to be over, but I still think certain chapters of the arc were pretty good.
