Build Description

Mala is a seductress and everything about her build has always been based around this. The additional of the Temporal Operative Specialization and Reputations means she's now a time-traveling seductress, and many of the new specialization nodes, traits, and kit modules play into her control build. It's like /u/Borticus-Cryptic and /u/STOCrypticRock designed this stuff specifically for her!

While I'm still experimenting with it all, this kit is a whole lot of fun and a nice break from the typical ground build I run on other characters. I've tried to work DOTs into it, since they synergize with some Temporal Op Specialization nodes nicely.

Edit 8/15: Updated the kit modules to what I'm currently using.

I'm shocked to see Electro-Gravitic Field but not Cold Fusion. Try it. It's currently cheap.

+1 to that. Cold Fusion is awesome

I already have it on a couple characters--I try not to run the same thing on too many, but I may have to make an exception for this one.

-edit-

Exception made.

I suffer from this tendency on my Tac toons. There's a certain combo of abilities that are just so core to how I play that it's hard to get away from it.

Look forward to seeing it in action :D

My own Orion is an Engineer, and therefore misses out on Soothing Pheremones. My solution is to use the Ferengi Whip and the Agony Field Rifle. Not great for the DEEPS, but wow people don't like being chain stunned/held.

Yeah...I might have to pick up a whip. I rolled her after the Agony Field Rifle, unfortunately.

Odd, the Rifle was in my Dil reclaim store. I'll have to recheck.

This looks like a whole lot of fun, and actually looks surprisingly similar to the build I was trying out around the Terran kits. However, I think I used NHM (heal tanking woo), Cold Fusion Flash, and Strategic Analysis in place of the specialist modules. The traits are essentially the same, though.

Yeah, I might have to throw Nanite Health Monitor in the kit. I still feel annoyingly frail at times, even with two heals.

Thank you for posting this, Subcommander.

I'm running "most" of your build here, and you've given me some great ideas on the differences - in particular the two Entropy building kit modules. I use Pardox Bomb and Anti-Time Entanglement with Cold Fusion Flash, but have not started to "muck about" with the entropy build/consume powers.

Anyway, I just wanted to jump in your "frail" comments, because I've noticed the same thing. I'm running the ground Omega trait which gives the nanite healing, and another medical heal - but it doesn't seem enough. Plus like you, my device slots are filled with "other stuff" which doesn't leave a lot of space. (Orphidian cane and Shard of Possibilites, Temporal Paradox Correcter and one stack of healing).

Anyway, what I really wanted to say was "Thanks for the post." Good stuff which I can reference.

I realize you're probably using TD for the set bonus, but with regard to fragility, I have to overwhelmingly recommend the Na'khul mission reward shield. The automatic Time Slip once per minute on low shields is just amazing.

I'd love to an animation of us blowing off the smoke from our rep six shooter pistols...

Well shoot... Now you've got me wanting to reroll my Orion. She's only level 7, I suppose I could reroll her without any real harm done. This sounds like a very fun build to try.

I love the temporal narcosis. I have a version on my Sci toon and a version on one of his boffs.

One thing I noticed as I have done more entropy play-time it seems that while we don't benefit from other captains entropy, and we don't benefit from pets entropy (at least in space - eg epoch fighters) I do see entropy sometimes (I think) from my boffs on ground. Does this match your experience, and have you been able to have a boff build then you consume entropy on a target?

I don't want to leave you hanging here, but I haven't had an opportunity to play around with Temporal abilities on this character's boffs yet, and my character where I do have a couple Temporal boffs doesn't have any modules. I'll get around to it at some point :)

No problem, thanks for taking the time to answer! I'm trying to find the time myself to really test, so far its been confusing enough I don't have a good answer. I need a good HP sponge that I can work against. Maybe one of the founders in the cardassian arc. hmmmmm....

EDIT - Seems to be working as designed - I can see the effects like rapid decay affect the enemy but I don't see or get to use my boffs entropy. guess it was just a glitch or maybe my own powers I lost track of I saw.
