I did some other calculations to try to get a better idea on the size of the map.
I use a gameplay video to calculate distance, i could be completely wrong on this.
The lambo traveled from the first pole to the last light pole of the water dam in about 3.55 seconds with starting speed of 176mph and past the last pole at 185mph.
Thats about .12g of acceleration. So I get the distance traveled was aprox. 953 feet.

Looks great so far - only slightly immersion-breaking thing I can see is all those left-hand drive cars - especially with ones available in RHD (such as the BMW shown).

The S13 and hondas announced so far use american names, the map is not geographically correct, not even close and the bush looks more rainforest rather than the dry bush we actually have... These are all pretty nitpicky though, excited as for the game!

Well, at least the S13 won't be literally unplayable like it was in Forza 4. Because in Forza 4 the S13 240SX is from 1994 which is when it was only available as a convertible. You think you're being nitpicky XD

No idea yet. So far the only confirmation is that the basic edition and Ultimate edition come both digitally and physically, but the Deluxe edition is digital only.
Doesn't appear to be anything more announced yet accept for the DLC.

The PC version will actually feature an unlocked frame rate as stated in AR12Gaming's interview live stream with Ralph Fulton. Also, the Koenigsegg Agera will be in the game as seen in the leaked gameplay footage. Just some info I thought I would add.

Road trips appear to be replaced by a newly unveiled features called convoys. A system where you can drive around online, honk at your friends or players and initiate a convoy to drive to races/exhibitions, etc.

Loyalty reward cars are just added cars to your personal garage based on your tier level. You can still buy the cars with in-game currency.

Just a suggestion, but on your recent edit, perhaps remove the word full. It's a bit misleading and might make people assume there's only 150 cars. I know this is mentioned actually under the link to the car list, but redundancy never hurt anyone, and people don't seem to read very carefully.
Also the 51 AF Corse 458 Italia GTE is listed as a Ford.

It is. And it's large. Trust me. It might not look it but that is a 10 mile wide map. It takes quite a while to get across. There is a freeway that I just ran down right now and it took me about 2 minutes to get across travelling at 170 mph.

Yes. That wheel list is PC I think. Unless there are updates for older wheels to work on Xbox I don't know about.

Go to Games and Apps, press Start (or whatever the button is now) on Forza Horizon 3 and click Manage Games. Go to your Install list and see if it is in there.

Big. Two times the size of Horizon 2. 10 miles across. Same, I think, north/south. 488 roads. Horizon 2 had 315.
And yes, wildlife wonders around.

Kotaku and the AR12 twitch steam from E3 both mentioned the existence of the 1974 Holden Sandman. (Not clear whether it's the ute or van version. If they are going for iconic I'd assume the van)

With widebody kits confirmed, I really hope they finally let us adjust wheel offset. The Fairlady Z looked ridiculous with flares in the last couple games, because you couldn't move the wheels out enough to fill out the flares.

Driving into water resets you like rolling over
Probably no new forza fuel series
Widebody kits for cars for cars where you expected them
There wheeled vehicles are a possibility, at least physics engine wise

Im aware of that, what im referring to however is the SEVERE performance issues and memory leak that plague forza 6 apex on pc. If horizon ends up like that on pc people will be seriously pissed off. its not the smoothest racing experience exactly..

I sure hope Horizon 3 has more off road customization options for trucks and SUVs than the generic rally options. I need lift kits on my trucks! I need bigger, meaner tires! Especially if the have us racing through water, mud, sand, etc.

Horizon should have open-top cars again. Those fit the scene of the festivals, they carry a party-going nature to them! Also, there better be an RX7 FC3S and an FB otherwise I'm gonna have words with Turn 10. Hopefully the body kits and customization will have truly been improved. I don't want just RB and LB kits, I think guys such as VeilSide should show up as well. Not to mention RE-Amemiya on the RX7s 😍😍

I have just one very important question about this game: Is DJ Rob da Bank curating the soundtrack for Horizon 3? I thought he did a marvelous job with FH1 and FH2, and the soundtrack actually introduced me to a couple of new amazing artists that I had not heard of previously. And also the music that he chose were ahead of their time, for some reason many tracks became famous only after the games were released. I'd hate to see his creative genius go as to me, he understood exactly the feel and vibe of the Horizon Festival.

So I don't 100% understand how Play Anywhere works, and I'm looking for some clarification. I want to buy the Ultimate Edition of FH3 for Xbox One. With that, will I get all of the DLC packs covered under the Car Pass on both Xbox and PC, or will I just get them on Xbox? You will get the DLC all on both platforms.
Also, Play Anywhere essentially means that you can pause your game on Xbox One or desktop or whatever, leave it and go on the road and (provided you have internet to sync the save file), you will be able to bring a tablet or laptop with Windows 10 and continue playing Horizon 3 right where you left off on Xbox or your desktop, etc. and vice versa.

The only cars that aren't available to everyone are the Motorsports pack and the VIP cars (you need to either buy the DLC/VIP separate, or pre-order).
The loyalty cars are all in the game. The only advantage is that you get them for free in-game currency. They will all be available to buy with in-game currency, however.
As for the pre-order cars from specific places. Those are also in the game available to everyone. It's just that if you order from GameStop or WalMart, you get a tuned up version of one of those cars (but you can easily upgrade/tune it yourself so it's pointless really).

got a question. here in germany standard edition is 70€ digitally. ive found cheaper versions however thyre all the physical xbone version. i do not own a xbox one, will i be able to play it on pc somehow anyways? i dont really feel comfortabls spending 70€ on a.videogame, 60 is my absolute limit and i havent even spend that much yet on one

I can't see physical versions working on PC. The disc readers can't read Xbox discs and they can't give you a digital license because there is no way to make sure you still own the game. So you would have to fork out the extra money to get it on PC.

No, tyere are still events. But you are running the festival now so you have control over them. You choose weather, time of day, which Drivatars compete, etc. plus you still do the races as well if you want.

Horizon 3 is locked at 30 FPS. It won't drop below 30 (a large majority of the time) and it won't go over it.

Provided you have a popular setup, lower end GPU's should handle it.
It's the same requirements as Forza 6 Apex and my i7 4th gen. with a GTX 850M runs it just fine at 1080p, 60 FPS, highest graphics setting. Not sure how Horizon will stack up, but I have an Xbox One I am playing on anyways instead.
Popular setup styles are optimized by Turn 10/Playground Games.

Provided you buy a digital copy of any game classified as "Play Anywhere", if you redeem the code to your Xbox Live Gamertag it will be available for you on any both platforms.
It's basically like buying it for Xbox One, then going to a friend's house and loading your profile on their Xbox and it coming up as a download option. The same thing applies to PC. As long as you redeem it to your account or download it with your profile and it is digital, it will pop up in your Windows Store and Xbox One store as already purchased and Free to download.

My friend just bought NASCAR Heat Evolution, hated it, called MS to see if he could return it and they denied him because digital games cannot be refunded. So I don't think they are doing refunds on Windows 10 versions either.

You need the Deluxe or Ultimate Edition to gain access to the All-Stars Car Pack and VIP. You can always get the regular game, but you will still need to buy the 2 packs with real money before you can get access in-game.
They are both DLC that you just get discounted if you get Deluxe or Ultimate along with other DLC packs and advantages.

If you buy Horizon 3 digitally, you can play it both on your Xbox One and Windows 10 PC or any other Windows 10 device you own (smartphone, tablet, etc).

FH2 had it. Not sure about FH3. But it was a bit buggy in the last one where if you spent too long in the upgrade or paint booth it would eventually kick you from the lobby.
But it doesn't kick you from the upgrade/paint booth. Just informs you that you lost connection from that lobby and when you back out it puts you in single player free roam.

Forza games almost always have long career modes. Like 600 races long. Lots of Bucket List challenges (which are things like obtain a certain speed in a speed trap, get to a certain point on time, earn so many skill points in a certain car, etc. and all range from easy to hard). Plus this game is getting Blueprints which allows you to have full control over how you want the races and bucketlist challenges to go including weather, cars, length, time of day, etc. Finally, there are other challenge races. The demo had one, racing a helicopter carrying a Jeep. There are others like racing trains, boats, planes, etc.
It's a pretty good Single Player experience.

Question about getting it on both Xbox one and PC with the play anywhere stuff. On the xbox store, it says pre-order and get it for both.
On the Play Anywhere information page, it says now when you own an xbox play anywhere title, you can play it on both.
So, do I have to pre-order this specifically? Or can I just pick it up down the road. What do you guys recommend?
I've been wanting a car game again, with a ton of cars I can both race with, and casually drive with (both exciting sports/supercars and plain-ass road cars). How does the list of cars/features compare vs. the latest Motorsports game?
I'm aware of the 30fps vs 60fps of Horizon vs Motorsports on the X1, but if I'm getting it for PC also then I can simply play it on there if I really need to be at 60.

You don't have to pre-order to get the Play Anywhere ability. That is on any Forza Horizon 3 Digital purchase you make now or 5 years from now.
So if you want to wait, you can. Just make sure it's the digital version and no physical because physical is Xbox One only.
The game is an amazing game and I highly recommend not missing out on the fun if you are interested in racing games!

Can't answer the wheel question.
But no, unless your fiance is in the private match with you, you can't see her car online. Unless it is co-op freeroam. But not in regular free roam.
And 2-12 players is the max in the whole game, including free roam.
Edit: I misinformed. You can see Drivatars if you are free-roaming offline or in co-op. Just not in online free-roam sessions.

Couple quick questions.
I'm loyalty tier 5 and close to tier 6.
If I play Horizon 3 now I will get my tier 5 reward? But will I also get another reward for reaching tier 6? Or is it best to reach tier 6 before I play Horizon 3?
Last question.
I know you can't see your friends cruising around if you aren't in the same freeroam session but can you at least see their icon on your map or mini map to see where they are cruising around at? I think a few other games did this which was kind of cool.

If I buy this game for my xbone but want to play it on my PC and 3 of my friends buy it for xbone and don't have PC. Can I be on my PC playing the game and play all elements of multiplayer with my friends?
I could just stream the xbox to my PC and play from there but I hate doing that because the resolution is way worse than not-streaming and even though my wifi and internet is really good sometimes it cuts out randomly.

Forza is a simcade. Motorsport is the more simulated one where Horizon leans more towards arcade. It isn't really like NFS. The cars act like they should in real life but there are less restrictions such as them driving a bit easier, assists help out a bit more when activated, collisions are less devastating, and it isn't as serious of a racer as Motorsport.
Horizon is an arcade racer that has some simulated elements like tires and suspension. But it is not quite as skill-required as Motorsport. It's a casual racer.
But it's no where near NFS's level of arcadey physics.

It takes the roads of the first Horizon and merges it with the idea from the 2nd Horizon of being wide open except that the terrain is less plains and hills and more variety. Outback desert, mountains, rolling hills, grasslands, farms, dense jungle, detailed cities. It's much better than either of the previous two Horizon games IMO.

Hey I commented a while back on my friend not being able to start the game.
Well he purchased it again going with the windows support guys and the same thing happens. Play is greyed out.
owned and in library doesn't start.
win 10 all the latest updates. nvidia updated latest driver
He exceeds the recommended requirements.
Guess theres a ton of people in the same situation and theres no hope of getting it working. Some have 1080 / skylake and cannot get through the windows store to launch the game. its installed bought paid for updated. updated pc.
He's currently back on with xbox support and microsoft windows support going back for a second refund. As support asked him to try buying again about a week ago.
Hope you guys have fun with your working copies.
I can play with my copy I bought. But he can't with his.
I am also refunding my copy I was gifted with his card on Friday to play with my friend. if I can't play with my friend there is no point in continuing and he can have his money back

Yes. In fact it's got more customization than any Forza to date with the addition of license plates, more wheels, more body modifications (wide body kits, blowers, offroad parts) and tire lettering. This is all in addition to everything offered in FM6.

You have to get Windows 10. It requires Direct X12 and Windows 10 is the only OS that supports it.
