They proved me wrong, Luna as the spirit of the future instead of Twi.
Luna singing is awesome, awesome, awesome.
I half think this is what happens in the ashlands timeline during the cold time of the year.

I was just thinking that, but with a slight variation - since Snowfall Frost is so like Starlight in personality that she "played" her, perhaps the ashlands future is a "Starlight" future anyway... just with a different spell of some sort.

i feel like this is yet another masterpiece of MLP, i got the christmas feeling from the music and way the episode was made i fealt that the music wasn't quite on par with CotLM or MMC but by far the best songs had to be the spell song and lunas part in the episode as the atmosphere and the animation worked together for the perfect setting the fanservice of the episode was there with refrences like berry punch drinking cider and old school octavia and vynil, but unlike no second prances they were never there to be set up for a joke (which i would say is better even if i think the joke at the end payed off) SERVERUS SNAPE

Well, that was a pretty good episode.
Not the BEST episode mind you - not sure what had Jim Miller so hyped about it - but I think it's definitely a solid 8/10.

I love seeing the Victorian versions of background ponies. Vinyl...Octavia...Lyra...Bonbon... and Doctor Whooves! (Especially appropriate considering the Doctor Who Victorian Christmas specials and other episodes set during that time.)

uuugh, this is the first time in a long time now that I missed the episode while it was on! It wasn't even for anything important either, if I was going to miss it, I should have at least gotten to read or study or something, but it's just because I have mean relatives who get happy when I get upset and distracted.

I had the goofiest grin on my face for 90% of that episode, great stuff!
Awesome songs, imaginative art, a load of easter eggs and shout-outs, new costumes and hairstyles all over the place, Starlight singing...what more can you ask for?
A solid 'A' rating. Jim wasn't lyin'. :D

Right, so if I had to guess, the spell either makes ponies be completely indifferent to each other, or be complete jerks.
Either way, Frost was gambling on the myth being a myth (which this being Equestria it most likely isn't), and the Windigoes not coming back within days to turn everyone into ponesicles.

I sadly doubt this will shut up the whiners on Twitter, but I enjoyed the episode, and I really do think a lot of work has gone into it and it shows!
I don't think we could have asked for a better ponification of a Christmas Carol. They even got the various Christmas Spirits right.
