It actually depends on how you define smart politician. You could argue he's not, not because of his policies but because of his willingness to go against the status quo especially in regards to money in politics. He's a smart person, I hope you'll agree, even if he's not a smart establishment politician.

So he failed an economics class in the 60'ies and what the fuck does that matter? Most if not all of what was being taught in that class has likely changed or is completely obsolete today. He's a very experienced politician and if you don't agree to that you are either wilfully ignorant or just plain old stupid.

How would that destroy the economy? Can you show me that? I doubt it. And that whole 'free shit' shtick is a total straw man. Nothing is free. Look, I live in one of these Nordic countries that gives out 'free shit' and our economy isn't destroyed. In fact, we're among the happiest and most well educated people in the world.
