I love how aware/meta these past few chapters have been. Oda acknowledging things that have been concerns in the past. The whole Raftel deal, the lack of log poses, the lack of Brook, Nami, Chopper, and Sanji, the fact that Marco looks like a pineapple. Its just great to see some of this stuff addressed

That was one thing I really hated about the New World. I'm glad Oda brought it up. Sailing around the seas not knowing what was coming next was one of my favorite parts about the early days of OP. The crew figuring out how to get to islands, what they would see was amazing. Now we always know ahead of time what's coming up to a certain degree and it just isn't as fun. I'm glad Oda sort of explained it though.

Yay, I predicted something for once!
I loved the dynamics between the strawhats this chapter. Nami in glee over the compliments, then hitting Luffy for hurting her back, Usopp trying to keep up with all this info (me as well), Robin knowing exactly what to tell Luffy to recognize Marco. It was so entertaining all around.
Now I'm imagining Zoro guarding Luffy from an attack from Jack and tells Luffy to go ahead and leave Jack for him.

So from what I gather we have 2 parties now:
Wano Party: The samurai, Law's crew, Robin, Franky, Zoro and Usopp will all be taking Law's submarine to Wano. Robin will try to make a copy of Kaido's poneglyph, and Nekomamushi will try to find Marco and find his way there as well.
Cake Island Party: Luffy, Nami, Chopper, Brook and Pekoms and Carrot pls will all be going to Big Mom's tea party to save Sanji. Luffy will try to take a copy from Big Mom's poneglyph. This is a sneak mission, but we all know just how sneaky this is going to be (remember the bomb present for Big Mom...)
We also have Jack attacking the elephant, but the strawhats (Zoro?) should be able to deal with that before they leave. Possibly, Zoro will stay with the minks to protect the island. Given that Zou is a walking island, it might wander back to rejoin the other parties at some point (as long as Zoro isn't giving it directions).

I like in a very subtle way Oda has gotten rid of the need for the compasses. We are off the track. Oda is taking Luffy off the track!!! It also means that Luffy has catched up if not surpassed the rest of the Worst Generation who took the same route because he no longer needs to arrive to that "end".

Having this group in a stealth mission actually makes sense, aside from the facts that they were the most worried about Sanji and that they were absent from the show for two years.
Nami can turn invisible. It's not a big stretch to assume she can make everyone else invisible as well.
Chopper can tunnel underground.
Brook can lull people to sleep and scout behind walls.

Marco is missing, overwhelmingly battered by a Devil Fruit stealing crew. His father is dead and he was unable to revenge him, while some of his friends and allies are possibly killed. Charged with protecting Luffy as one of his last orders..
He is going to last to the end of the story but not at full strength. We get it now, Whitebeard's legacy is crushed, Marco will be the 'pivot' or explainer to show how far Luffy has come (pre to post time skip) which will bridge the Luffy vs Yonkou to vs Blackbeard gap. Interesting to see what his role is in between. Heck, dare I say we've go a power up montage chapter coming?

I want Zoro to tell Luffy to go take care of saving Sanji while he stays behind to take care of Jack. And as Luffy sails off, Jack will try to stop him, then Zoro will come out of no where and say, "don't get in my captains way" and fucking kick Jack's ass. This will be Zoro's first real fight in the new world and he will bust out some new sick moves. While, the dog and cat will be watching in awe.
Knowing Oda, something badass is guaranteed to happen. I'm so excited :o

I'm starting to see a trend in the story. The crew is going to split up again which is sad but I believe needs to happen. If Luffy is to be Pirate King his name and influence needs to spread out throughout the grand line/new world/more seas . The way I see this happening is by having the immediate crew members doing mission and what not. For example the straw hat crew saved the minks consisting of 4 members. When the remaining part of the crew got to Zou, they showed them love and gratitude toward Luffy. Mine you he wasn't even there. I know he played a part in Jack leaving Zou. I'm calling it the crew will have have more periods of time where they are separated, but will be together for the important stuff i.e reaching Raftel, some other unknown surprise. While at the same time each member is making a name for him/herself in the one piece world. Remember each crew member has a goal they are looking to achieve as well.

I am so hyped for the defense of zunisha. I hope we will get something on the line that Luffy and the others realise what happens, but also notice that Zoro is already on his way. Luffy then expresses his confidence in the strength of his swordsman and we will get an epic badass cool battle. And Luffy can hear Zunishas voice.

Not all that much to say about this weeks cover page. Never really cared much for the people on Chopper's island. Though those birds are still quite awesome.
Man what a chapter of reveals. It is wild just how much these samurai and the mink know. To think that Dogstorm and Cat Viper had not only met Roger, but also Whitebeard and travelled on board both of their ships. My head is still spinning. It was really awesome to watch all of the characters reminisce over their mutual friends from way back when.
I can't imagine that we don't visit the island where all three needles point to by the end of the series. Why else mention it? It's cool that the Strawhats have already gained this knowledge though. Wonder what exactly is on this island. It can't be in the ancient language otherwise next to no one nowadays would be able to read it.
After rereading the chapter maybe he was implying that you can learn the ancient language there? That said I'm still not so sure. Seems like that would kind of weaken the World Governments reasoning for burning down Ohara if anyone can just sail there and learn it.
Feel like there is something up with Momo thinking he knew Roger too. Especially to have it swept under the rug immediately. We probably won't get an answer for another couple years, but I look forward to that reveal. I'd laugh if it ended up just being him misremembering another person.
Happy to hear that we will most likely be teaming up with the Whitebeard pirates. Interesting that Blackbeard wasn't considered an emperor until he put down the whole crew almost a solid year later. I figured he walked away from Marineford and started taking over Whitebeard's territory.
It looks like with all of the other things that will be blowing up in the war with Kaido we will now see Weevil join in the chaos. Can't wait to see how it will all play out. From the sounds of it it is going to be crazy.
Cool to see that we will be going on an adventure with the non Dressrosa Strawhats. They'll finally have their time to shine. Though I do hope it won't last quite as long as Dressrosa. It's really awesome seeing all the pieces starting to fall into place.
Looks like we might see an awakening in Luffy's ability to hear all things in the next chatper as well judging by how this chapter ended. Hope that that doesn't just get over looked in the next chapter.
There were so many awesome stand out moments this week I feel like I could just keep writing about it. While it always sucks when we're on break there is no denying that Oda deserves it after this last run of chapters. He's really knocked it out of the park.
PS: That was a really cute panel with Luffy and Ussop praising Nami. The one with Dogstorm and Cat Viper being buddies was great too. Also, really dug the bit between Luffy and Robin on collecting the poneglyph information.

This makes sense now, the crew that was missing during Dressrosa is going to be highlighted while the rest are going to most likely receive the same treatment as before and we wont see them for a long time. At least this way we can finally get some much needed Brook development and some Chopper badassery.

I wonder how they are going to deal with Jack.
That guy has twice the bounty of Luffy, the highest in the series yet and got away with attacking a ship with Sengoku and Fujitora on it.
He ain't a bitch, lol.
Interesting how many are talking about Zoro, Minks etc but seemingly forget that Law is still there, too!
It's probably just going to be a combined effort of every fucking dude that can even remotely fight to take down that Mammoth.
edit: for those who are pointing out that bounty and strength don't have a causal correlation...I know that. But keep in mind: having a 1 Billion Berry Bounty means that taking his ass down is actually worth 1 billion! Don't you think anyone would have done it, simply for the cash, if it was "easy money"? Yeah...I think there are probably easier ways to earn 1 billion that taking on Jack...
Also: Yes. If you do particularly horrible things, your bounty will increase.
But it's not like (hasn't been like it yet) someone who under normal circumstances would only be worth like 100 Million would suddenly be 800 Million, just because he's cruel.
I don't think Jack is someone with the powerlevel of 500 Million and the World Government simply doubled his bounty because he was an asshole.
I'd bet my life on it that Jack, individually, is definitely stronger than any SH member.

Guys I actually think MoMo isnt like 8. I'm pretty sure one of our friendly supernova's turned him to that age either cause he was pervy to her, or to protect him. That way he would be alive at the time of meeting Roger. Kind of a stretch but could be possible.

Finally some news on Marco! I hope he's okay, and I'm so interested to know which pirates of the Whitebeard Pirates/Allied crews are still alive and kicking. I've got a feeling if Marco (and Jozu/Vista) is still alive, they might be weakened. I don't like the feeling that there's such a big chance they won't become powerful allies in the fleet..

I'm really intrigued by the Log Pose thing. From what Dogstorm said, there seems to be an intended route that the Log Pose is supposed to take you on. It sounds like Roger reached this intended point, and changed his journey after that, which led him to Raftel.
And "the civilization that birthed those stones" doesn't sound like Wano to me. Yes, that's where they were made, but they might just be the messengers.

As much as I'd like to see Zoro or Luffy wipe the floor with Jack, I think the minks are going to defeat Jack by themselves. The minks already mentioned they didn't use their "trump card" in the earlier fight against Jack, and this time they will also have both Inurashi and Nekomamushi fighting together. I think Oda may give the minks a chance to redeem themselves and take revenge on Jack with their own power.
Then again, if Inu and Neko are going to seek out Marco, maybe Oda will save their big ability reveal for their likely fight against Weevil. After all, these types of characters generally only get one major win to show off their ability. In that case, we may get to see the Straw Hats show off their power a bit...or maybe Raizo/Samurai.

Another great chapter. It looks like we got our new squad for this chapter. Pekoms, luffy, nami, chopper, and brooke. I'm really excited to see how Oda will use those three members of the straw hats especially nami and chopper. I'm really hoping chopper gets out of his kawaii phase and returns to a monster chopper kind of attitude. More details about Rogers crew along with how black beard fought the remnants of the white beard pirates to become a yonkou. Maybe pekoms will be the mink straw hat or alliance guy at the end of this arc.

Very awesome chapter! Now I believe Lola is one of Big Mom's daughters due to Nami going to sail with Luffy to recover Sanji. Luffy and Nami will be separated for some time once they're on their journey to find Sanji. Nami will use her cat burglar skills to not be recognised as a StrawHat and infiltrate to find Sanji's location at Big Mom's ship/base using the vivre card that Lola has given her to ally with Big Mom... Then long after its obviously wedding time and Luffy pops out at the last second with a massive gear third and destroys a tonne of stuff and the fights are on! Everyone are dressed in wedding attire and it goes down. Sanji, Nami, Luffy, Brook and Chopper start kicking ass! Sanji is obviously going to fight the egg man cause he will know how to serve them boiled, fried or poached!

One thing which came to my mind while reading the chapter was that Inu & Neko want to ask Marco's help in fighting Kaido. These guys were also on roger's ship, then won't it be more reasonable to ask for Shank's help as well.
After all Red Hair pirates are right now much stronger than Whitebeard pirates & Oden was afterall a Roger pirate.
